My first beer garden experience, and it was everything I could have hoped for! So much seating, lively atmosphere, and 1L pints of beer. Food was good. Would like to spend more time here.
At my time of visit: when ordering beer you have to stand in one line, food in another. You have to pay a few € extra as a deposit and they give you a token, and when you return the glass and token you’ll get your deposit back (another line for returns).

Prater Beer Garden in Berlin is an exceptional spot for enjoying a lively and vibrant atmosphere. The crowd, full of energy and enthusiasm, adds to the enjoyable experience.
The beer garden offers a fantastic selection of food and beer, all of which are delicious and satisfying. With tables occupied well into midnight, it’s clear that this is a popular destination.
Whether you’re planning a team party or a casual meet-up, Prater Beer Garden provides the perfect setting for a memorable time. Highly recommended for its great ambience and delightful offerings!

Stopped here for a beer on a Sunday - great vibes and lots of space. Trees offer nice shade and they have different beer options than similar places!

I visited this place on a quiet day, so I couldn't fully experience the lively atmosphere it might have when crowded. The menu is short but offers typical and tasty German food. I recommend trying it on a busier day to get a better feel of the place.

I love a good beer garden on a sunny summer day and this place ticked all the right boxes. It has cold beer, warm food and a laid-back atmosphere: an ideal place to sit and chat.

The place is beautiful in its ambiance and service. I love Indian good and I try to explore new places for the same.
This is not a typical Indian restaurant with all the so a lot of pics of Indian places, but a really calm and soothing interior. The candle on the table tops it off making a place perfect for candle light dinner and a place to spend quality time with your loved ones.
I ordered panner Jhalfrezi, which was okay, but I would expect better in terms of taste from a restaurant like that. Other than that, the Starter platter and Papadam was great in taste.
I would recommend it as the hospitality of the staff was amazing, the place is nice overall with great mango lassi.
One more thing, they only accept cash payments!!! So, have some with you, otherwise the EC machine will charge you a lot of fee.

Absolutely delicious Indian food, tasted very fresh and wasn't oily. Service was well-meaning but so-so in quality. Food is worth it though
Noukka Signe - a week ago
It's one of the best indian restaurants in Berlin, I would say. They serve authentic mutton and chicken dishes with real indian Spiciness. Definitely recommended!!!!
I ordered mutton rogan josh and garlic naan(it had lots of garlic 😍), It completely satisfied my taste buds! The staff was so polite during the service.

I don't see why this restaurant has such high ratings.
It is just a mediocre place.
The food is ok, but nothing special and can't be compared to Indian food you have in England.
The portions are small for the price.
You do have to note that all main dishes come with rice.
Very disappointing that it is CASH ONLY.
The staff doesn't speak German.
Antonia Marinova - a week ago
The butter chicken was good (also halal) not the best to be honest. The bathura was very tasty. Very friendly staff! I particularly loved the atmosphere.
I appreciate the waiter mentioning that they only accept cash before I ordered.

Place is nice, definitely has a nice vibe, but the service is just abysmal. Given that they do only table service and there is only one waiter in a whole place who doesn’t seem to be bothered whatsoever to just even take an order … you’ll wait for your drinks for good 30 minutes…
Marek Lazor - a month ago
It's a nice, cozy bar, and I've been here 3-4 times, but every visit, the waitstaff has either messed up the order or misplaced our bill. They’re minor issues since everything eventually gets sorted out, but it feels like allowing customers to order at the bar could make things run more smoothly, so people wouldn’t have to wait so long for their drinks.

Nice cocktail, very nice cozy ambience as well. One thing though, service is pretty slow it took forever to order and to get the drinks and to pay but they are quite understaffed but otherwise very nice to chill with friends

Lovely restaurant. We had the escargot, rabbit skewers, duck and steak and each plate was delicious. Despite being pretty full, we ordered the creme brûlée for dessert which finished the meal perfectly. The staff were friendly and attentive with offers to help translate the menu, should we need.

I always come here with my French friends when we want a good meal, good wine, and a catch-up. The quality of food is incredible, the staff are friendly, and we always have an amazing night.
It's a small menu, but perfectly cooked.
The fries are the best in Berlin

Awesome atmosphere, service and food. We highly recommend the steak tartar and sausage with parsnip mash starter!

Very good French cuisine. The Steak frites and the crème brûlée were perfect and authentic! The staff was also nice and efficient
Leonie Proscione - a month ago
A bit biased about my experience: loved the starters, the duck and the meat but didn’t like french fries a homemade mayo as much. Nice vibrant atmosphere and good service in general.
Noise level was way above average, we could hardly have a conversation and it felt like you’re surrounded by a cloud of voices coming from neighbor tables. This was the first time I ever had a problem with it since I’m not very sensitive. Might come back and just pick a table in the front room next time

I ordered Mandu, Samgyoebsal, Kimchi jigae, and Bibimbab. They are so good and taste the same as in Seoul! 😍 I highly recommend Sangyoebsal and Bibimbab. The staff is also very kind and high standard of hospitality. This would be my first favorite Korean restaurant in Berlin. Don’t forget to order some Soju or Makgeolli to stay in the vibe.

Visited this Korean BBQ Restaurant and had an amazing experience! The staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting.
The meat was fresh and flavorful, and the DIY grilling at the table added to the fun. They had a great variety of sides and sauces to complement the meats. Would recommend.

Noodle was a disappointment and they put too much sugar to everything. I usually like hot and sweet soups but we could not eat this one because it was too sweet

Really reasonable price with big portion!! Pad Thai is not authentic, more a stir fried noodle however it’s still yummy! Would recommend this place for a quick meal.
Victoria Lau - 4 years ago
They have a varied selection of items that make it more likely for everyone to find something that they will enjoy here. The food was good, and the portions were sufficient as well.
Service was friendly.
The only thing is that I am not a big fan of the interior or atmosphere of this place. They would benefit from changing up the indoor tables and chairs (which were not so comfortable). But obviously, that’s just a matter of personal preference.

We were here on Tuesday, right after opening at 12:00 PM. There were quite a few visitors. We ordered solyanka, goulash, currywurst, and strudel. Everything was excellent. The only thing is that we had to wait a little for the strudel, but it wasn’t a big deal. We really enjoyed everything. If someone is looking for authentic German cuisine, they must visit this place. It's affordable and delicious.

The experience at Zum Schusterjungen in Berlin was good. The atmosphere was charming and cozy, making it the perfect place for a relaxing and enjoyable meal. The service was decent, friendly, and made us feel right at home.
I ordered the Wildschweingulasch mit Rotkohl und Klößen, and it was absolutely delicious. The wild boar goulash was hearty and full of flavor, paired perfectly with the tangy red cabbage and soft, pillowy dumplings. To finish off the meal, I had the apple strudel with vanilla sauce, which was the perfect sweet ending , warm, comforting, and incredibly tasty. The beers were also great.
Overall, a wonderful dining experience with great food, decent service, and a cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to enjoy traditional German cuisine!

Zum Schusterjungen - check it out if you want to get an idea of Berlin's last century beer joint culture and feel why several hundreds of these corner bars used to attract generations of Berliners. Today, you will find only a handful Berlin specific bars like Zum Schusterjungen that kept their historical image and did not follow another trend
Zum Schusterjungen wants to preserve its historical charm and keep the idea of its founders alive that the working class deserves and appreciates the Berlin specific, genuine, and tasty meals at fair prices.
The different meanings of the restaurant's name “Schusterjunge" which refer to a cobbler's apprentice as well as to a simple and hearty rye roll that you can still buy in every bakery are still a commitment: Both the restaurant owner and the service want their hospitality to be felt as refreshing and quick-witted as cobbler's apprentice were famous for and a team that values the simplicity of low-priced rye rolls.
No surprise that the corner pub's history goes back to the Roaring Twenties. Back then, almost a century ago, Schusterjunge used to open its doors at 6 a.m. to cater clients* demand for beer, shots, meatballs, and pickled eggs. This was the time when an excessive go-out culture created excessive behaviour. Oral traditions mirrored the Zeitgeist when pub-crawls often were synonymous for pub brawls.
It might remain unclear forever if such arguments were triggered by women, politics or soccer - but there is no doubt that always beer flowed like water.
During the Fifties of the last century, the foundation of the German Democratic Republic bad its repercussions. The communist regime socialised, like many other businesses, the Schusterjunge and assigned it officially to feed the labouring classes.
1990, just after the wall came down, the new barkeepers changed the pub into a restaurant. Having survived all historical challenges, the Schusterjunge lived up to its die-hard image and retained its harsh charm.
Today’s owner who has started his career during the GDR years at famous East Berlin Moscow Café" and gained more gastronomic expertise abroad is dedicated to keeping the soul of the Schusterjunge - being an Old-Berlin style pub.

This was one of the best lunches I had in Berlin. I had the schnitzel with creamy mushroom and potatoes with bacon bits + beer on a summer afternoon in Berlin. Their terrace is great, it was so calm and chill to watch the intersection & enjoy a very yummy meal. The food was honestly simply perfect. Service was great, the server was polite, efficient and nice.
Restaurant is cash only like many others - not that big of a deal, just come prepared.

Although we found the portions a bit on the smaller side, the flavour was phenomenal!
Absolutely delicious schnitzel and gnocchi.
The beetroot gnocchi was filled with a cream cheese, something I would definitely go back for.
Service is so friendly and nice, we were really happy with that too.
I would consider this one of the best veal schnitzels in berlin.

So good. Our family of four all agreed that this was our favorite meal of our entire time in Berlin. Be sure to order the beer they brew. We got the Gold and Bronze and both were awesome. The lamb was amazing. The risotto was sooo good. Definitely recommend.

Food is ok, but expensive. Doesn't really worth the price. Staff is nice and the ambiance is pleasant. However I don't think this should be considered a traditional German restaurant at all (no pork, for example).

the restaurant was very clean, something that’s important for me.

Great Sushi Bar! Good location next to a tram and a subway stations. There are a lot of tables, low and high - plenty of room. The variety of drinks is huge, aswell as the food choices, which are plenty. Some sushi sorts are pretty exotic and may seem as not very authentic. Still, they all taste great!
Have been there for a private event with ~100 people.
