5 Star Rating Definitely one of the best bars in Berlin. Since 2007, for 17 years this bar is ahead of the rest. Very unique location underneath the train tracks in a former railway storage facility. Orften imitated, never duplicated. Gives the idea you are inside of a huge jet engine. Quite stunning

5 Star Rating Great little tucked away speakeasy. Was recommended this place by a friend and it didn't disappoint. Tucked away under a bridge behind a non descript door. The inside feels like a tastefully decorated bunker with two main seating areas, a large bar and a booth space with a reflective wall that adds greatly contributes to the vibe. The drinks are solid and well priced. The staff are welcoming and kind. The DJ that started off the night was a blast. The music was loud but not so much that you were screaming to be heard. The bathrooms were also very clean. FYI you can smoke indoors so for those not accustomed to that experience please be aware.

5 Star Rating * A review about the bar side * * Willingness to return visit: 120% * Suitable place for everything business, party, date, alone :) * Smoking is allowed inside. * Storage for the Jackets and bags.( 1.5or 2 euro) * I'm Including the sound videos of 12am’s 'before and after' in this review. Because around 12 o'clock, the atmosphere before and after is quite different :D ! but don’t worry, The atmosphere won't change suddenly. Competent DJs are making increasingly mood with well selected music . it will definitely make you wanna dance around 1:00. The friendly bartenders also make cocktails that are not on the menu, satisfying your taste. Well, If there's one thing that's missing, the cocktail glass is a bit.. ugly? not pretty?. . Haha um The cocktail glass can’t keep up with the cocktail tasty& mood🙈

5 Star Rating If you want to try authentic Japanese food, this place will be the best for that kind of experience. This place reminds me of a typical Japanese fast food place with quality products, very fast work and friendly waiters. The big plus point of the place is the speed of preparation and the taste of the food. Also, the food here is quite hearty. It may seem like you won't get full, but actually even a small set of sushi rolls is quite hearty. The average price is more than affordable, especially for Japanese food. You can order a set for €10-18 and you don't need to take drinks because the green tea is free.

5 Star Rating Ishin a fantastic sushi restaurant, where you can enjoy authentic sushi at a very reasonable price. It’s such a great find to have high-quality sushi that’s both delicious and affordable. I found myself visiting almost every week, as the food is consistently excellent. The service is also outstanding friendly and attentive, making each visit even more enjoyable. If you’re in Berlin and craving sushi, Ishin is definitely a place you shouldn’t miss!

3 Star Rating Ishin Sushi in Berlin is the definition of “it’s fine” when it comes to sushi. The taste is okay, but don’t expect to be blown away—it’s pretty basic. The sushi is fresh and decent, but nothing that’s going to have you running back for more. If you’re looking for super unique flavors or a next-level experience, this might not be your spot. That said, the prices are super reasonable, especially for Berlin. It’s one of the cheaper sushi places around, so if you’re ballin’ on a budget, Ishin gets the job done. Plus, they give you free green tea, which is always a win.

4 Star Rating A traditional German meal on a quiet afternoon, the food was very tasty with big portions, one meal would easily be enough for 2 people. Beers were nice and cold. Service was quick and friendly, however when it came to paying the experience changed when you are all most guilt tripped into leaving a tip. I would have left a tip in cash on the table had it not been for the cheeky comment made by the waiter when we paid with card and didn’t change the total amount on his card machine. A good experience for food but let down at the very end.

2 Star Rating I cannot stress enough how straight up awful this bar is on the concept alone. Whatever capitalist came up with this place should be given their commemorative cement shoes and tossed off their riverfront seating area. The beers change in price "like the stock market" of demand and... well the supply is fixed so it's just a way to extract money from you. Instead of demand/supply economics i guess it's demand/stupid/gullibility economics. I ordered a 0,5L Hef when the price dipped to 4,10 but by the time they put the order in it was 6,10. So basically you get the illusion of maybe a cheap buy, then they put the order in when it's not. I decided to lean into their scheme by asking the server about shorts, futures, call/put options, etc and he looked like a deer in headlights. If they leaned into the concept by at least giving complicated stock mechanisms to people like me, who know it's a scam, then I would have given it a pass because at that point it's like a fun game. But no, it's just steal your money shenanigans. I think my silly young friends found it charming, but every time i broke down the numbers on the "good deal" that was coming up, they were like, "oh yeah, that's terrible." So turn your brain off and empty the wallet then you're good to go! I had a spoon full of the tomato soup from my buddy and it was exceptional (i'm very critical of tomato soup, highly recommend), fair is fair on that point, but nothing about the beer prices are fair or entertaining to an adult who isn't in the habit of burning their money for a capitalist gimmick. Outside that bomb/fire tomato soup, this place is trash, never go again, don't recommend. Nice riverside seating. One more thing, their bathroom artwork is INCREDIBLE, must see! Don't buy anything, just act like you're going to sit down and check out the bathroom!! Sad state of affairs when the highlight of your resturaunt is where people deposit the waste/product from the kitchen, but that's the facts of the matter. One of the silliest places i've ever been minus the soup and bathroom.

5 Star Rating Nice genuine French restaurant close to the Spree with a lot of tables outside. Easy way to enjoy the river, people and city life. Food is fast and presented well. Service is a bit slow but food is served fast. Menues are on the smaller side, but it should be enough. There were a lot of wasps here, so sitting outside was a problem.

4 Star Rating I had the Flammkuchen, which is like flatbread or pizza, with sparse toppings so the crust stays crisp. It was good and large enough to share. My husband had the Raviola with basil which was delicious. Servers were VERY busy so we had to wait. We had a lovely outdoor table along the river and the restaurant had blankets available as the evening was chilly.

4 Star Rating Fantastically located French restaurant on the river along one of the main tourist roads in Berlin leading to Checkpoint Charlie. It's a classic French menu with everything that you would expect to get. I had the Steak Tartare, and my wife had the Steak Frites. I have to say that they were both pretty good. It's not the best I have had in Berlin, but it's certainly not the worst. Prices are on the high side for Berlin, but the location probably just about justifies the premium over other Berlin French restaurants. I had the Mousse Chocolate at the end, and that was great, but again, the price was not cheap, so I expected something great, and thankfully, this was the case here. Service was perfect, and the views are really breathtaking if you take one of the outside tables by the riverbank. Overall, it was expensive and really good. What more can you say?

5 Star Rating Trendy restaurant with 1920s theme situated underneath the railroad. It makes a lot of noise when trains run over. During the event happens less. Food is good and service is both fast and professional. Good selection of beer and drinks. The dessert menu was a bit short, but had what you need for a proper German dessert. Appel strudel and cream

3 Star Rating The staff were very nice. The food was unfortunately mid for the price. We ordered the schnitzel, which was pretty ok tho the potatoes on the side were bland as potatoes can be, and I got a mushroom risotto. It was so salty, almost inedible, not sure if it was just a one time fluke or if it's usually like that but I couldn't even taste anything but salt. It's a nice looking restaurant but there are better places to eat.

3 Star Rating The waitress was extremely kind, the place is super nice. The prices a bit high but in the average for the area which is super nice. The plates had very little of Italian, I went there because some German friends booked and as Italian I've to admit that the plates are very different from what we eat in Italy: the lasagna has nothing to do with our lasagna, risotto with chicken is more indian than Italian cousin, gnocchi refill with pesto is not our traditional gnocchi with mozzarella, parmigiano etc, and the pizza was more German pizza than Italian pizza. Said so, the area around is super nice and the service is kind, it's a good place for foreigners, a bit less for Italians.

When we were going to pay, the waitor told us that the terminal was not working, but we didn't have any cash. But then he came back right away with a fully functional terminal, and then he asked us to tip him. When we wouldn't tip him he got a little salty at us. I do NOT recommend this place

4 Star Rating BLOCK HOUSE on Friedrichstraße in Berlin is a decent restaurant with some highs and lows. The service tends to be quite slow, which can be frustrating. The dishes we tried, such as the tartare, house salad, and a variation of Caesar salad, were all average. However, the quality of the meat was excellent. The steaks were cooked to perfection and tasted delicious, which is a major plus. The restaurant's location under the train tracks makes the outdoor seating area very noisy, so we had to move inside. Unfortunately, it was slightly warm indoors as they don't seem to use air conditioning effectively. Overall, BLOCK HOUSE provides an okay dining experience. While it's hard to give it a full five stars due to the slow service and noise issues, the excellent meat quality and generally pleasant staff make it a reasonable choice for a meal.
