Great stay at the Park Plaza County Hall London.
The location is excellent, within walking distance of major attractions like the London Eye and Westminster.
The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-equipped, perfect for both business and leisure.
Breakfast was varied and of good quality, and the staff were friendly and attentive.
Few areas, like faster check-in times, better management of the lifts in rush hours, could be improved.
Overall, a solid choice for a comfortable stay in central London.

We just returned from this great hotel. My friend and I booked a twin bedded room but was given a studio with lots of room for just a small fee, I have to say the staff are amazing, they can't do enough for you. We didn't eat there but we had a few drinks in the bar which was lively with a good atmosphere. The location was great for us as we don't mind walking but some may find it too far out. We loved walking past the London Eye and across the bridge into the heart of the city. We would definitely stay there again

I was in London for the first time with my family, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. It was about 10 minutes from the Waterloo station. This hotel has several lifts that work, housekeeping service, working air-conditioning, and heater. The concierge was friendly and helpful. Our room was ready when we arrived around 11am and we could check in early (lucky us!)
The room: we booked the Junior Suite, and it was spacious for 2 adults and 1 child. The queen bed was comfy enough, and the pillows were decent. The sofa bed was not as comfortable as the queen bed because the mattress was thinner, but my child managed to sleep well enough. There was sufficient wardrobe space, and there was an iron and ironing board in the room. There were cups, glasses, plates, bowls, and cutlery in the room, as well as dish detergent, a dish sponge, and a drying towel. The mini fridge was big enough and cold enough, and there's a microwave oven that I used to warm up the pies I bought from Borough Market. The plates were also microwave-friendly, so that's perfect.
There are a lot of electric points in the room too (next to the beds and under the TV, etc) And there was also a security safety box in the wardrobe.
There was a separate bathtub and shower section in the toilet, which is my preference. I love that there were ESPA toiletries (body shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and hand wash, which smelled gender-neutral and just so good and refreshing.
There was also ample space and bathroom cupboard space for my toiletries. Drainage for both the sink, bath tub and shower were smooth and no choking. Towels were good too.
I thought it might be noisy being so near the metro (we could see the trains from our window) but it was not noisy at all. Maybe also because we were on a high floor.
One tiny downside: There could be better attention to details like having 3 bath towels and 3 sets of bath slippers instead of 2 since there are 3 guests. I managed to get it from housekeeping though the service took a long time to arrive.
All in all, we had a great stay and will stay again the next time we are in town.

Modern, centrally located hotel, five minutes walk of Waterloo Station and within sight of Westminster Bridge and The London Eye.
Public areas of the hotel were clean and bright.
Good buffet style breakfast with a large varied selection of options, from a Full English Breakfast, omelettes made to order or a selection of fresh fruit, pastries or cereal.
The bedrooms were adequate, but looked very tired and in need of serious refurbishment.
Would I choose to stay there again, probably not. Plenty of other hotels to choose from in Central London, which offer better value for money

The steak was tasty, but the portion size was quite small for the price. I had the classic steak and frites. The service was fast, and the ambiance was enjoyable, especially with live jazz music playing in the background.

Such a fun find! We were starving after a morning of sight seeing and found this superb place! Great service and excellent food! Definitely get the artichoke dip! And the blood orange sorbet is fantastic!

I am back dear followers! One artist, one objective and one love: enjoying memorable experiences around the jaw dropping Central London!
Do you wonder where to go when fancying a posh British style dinner inda City, perhaps with your date??
Well, try this place but be careful with it.
First of all, watch out for the host Katy.
She looks so pretty and pleasant that you couldn’t see her mean manners coming.
She brought me to a little table placed exactly in the middle of the restaurant, which was quite empty considering that was quite early (around 5 pm). Asking to move to the side due to my shyness she went quite nuts, saying that yes, a table was available but just until 7:30 pm.
Thinking that more than 2 hour eating are enough, I decided to accept the mean offer of the scary host.
Going ahead, I dared to order a classic burger with bacon with her. Looking at me with angry eyes, she asked me if I wanted it “just” with bacon. Well, I thought, do they offer just a bun and a slice of bacon in the menu in this place? Quite odd but brilliant, I thought. Having a look to the menu, I pointed the cheese burger with bacon. Wrong move.
The host got really mad saying that that one was another burger.
‘That is fine,’ I replied shaking, ‘I’ll have it’.
The burger was delivered quite quickly. It was okay.
The atmosphere is quite romantic and the design of this place is absolutely lovely.
Also, if you do not pay too much attention to the terrible sound made by the train up there it is also quite pleasant to dine!
You will be deciding if you would come back…or not!
Have a lovely night followers!

An amazing birthday dinner! We had the set menu with starters and mains and both were delicious! Portion sizes and value for money were excellent. The atmosphere was great with live music playing but it wasn't too loud upstairs so we could still have a conversation. Table by the window was lovely as we could see all the lights outside and it was cool hearing trains go over above. Staff were excellent and really attentive, they really made our evening. Thank you!

It looks more like a bar than a restaurant, so I’ve never got around to visit. It turns out, they are open in the daytime, and their food is good.
I had Tortilla (omlette), Quimbobo (Okra stew), and a bowl of black beans. Yes, it was probably more than I needed, but everything was delicious.
The decor is bear and everything screams boozy bar. I felt out of place, but I would happily go back there for lunch when there is no loud music and drunken people.

We got seated quickly. Food was delicious! Gave it 4 instead of 5 stars because the amount of food for price was a bit skewed.

Food was good, starter we chose, 3 different humus was really tasty.. went at happy hour, so pleased with our extra drinks ! One wine was full of grunge, but staff were excellent, apologetic and quick to get a replacement one. Rest of food was tasty but not spectacular. It was quiet when we went, but I'm sure would have a great vibe when busy. Staff were very helpful and nice. Would go again..

We went during dancing time so we did not try their food. It was pretty dead for a Friday night. Only one more couple there when we arrived and later on a group of 5/6 arrived as well. If you’re looking for a lovely spot displaying Cuban pride and music though and don’t mind bringing your one people it’s a nice option. The bartender was great!

I booked an evening meal in the restaurant last night for myself, my son and his partner. We were fortunately served by a young man called Abraham, he was absolutely exceptional in every way. Extremely accommodating the due to the late arrival of my sons partner, he was a true professional and a credit to himself and the Union Jack Club. One of the best customer experiences ever.

If you're either in the forces or a veteran, this place is a must if you visit London. You don't have to book a room to enjoy the facilities as a member (serving forces are automatically members, MOD90 to gain entry). Me and my wife had a full day in London before an evening flight. We used the changing rooms and shower to freshen up, a few drinks in the bar (£3.50 a pint), and then an excellent meal in the restaurant. I use the UJC often, and it's always busy.

We were there for the Christmas holidays with family. We enjoyed everything from food to stay at a great location! The only hiccups were that the dishes weren't super clean. Had 💋 stains on the glasses and tea bag wrapper struck inside the tea kettles.

I frequently stay at the Union Jack Club when I am in London for work. It is a fabulous place to stay, brilliant location and an excellent atmosphere for serving and veteran service personnel and their families. Generally I stay in the single room shared facilities, but with my family I have stayed in the family rooms and I am always pleased with the cleanliness and amenities.

Been to most of the branches, this one is nice and is in a great location. Staff are generally friendly and helpful albeit a bit too busy.
The food is good and well presented, however pricing is a bit stretched for what it is. The paper/pencil tick ordering method is clumsy, especially when you want to order multiple same items. They need to modernise this.
Cocktails are good, especially the lemongrass one most come in mock-tail form and are equally enjoyable.

We didn't know you had to book to get the 50% discount between 1-12 Jan, but sat down anyway. Nice buns and dumplings, orderly delivered on time. Nice vibe added by Sarah, who didn't serve us but always cleared our table with a nice smile. Lovely energy. A keeper.

It was very busy when we arrived, but the excellent staff found us a table without delay and the service continued to excel throughout our time there.
The food order was taken quickly and the dishes arrived without delay - despite how busy the restaurant was.
Each dish was well prepared and tasted great - and the alcohol free cocktails were most welcome.

My first visit to ping pong. The menu mechanic had to be explained to us by the waiter, and it makes very little sense. You mark down what you want on a paper menu with the supplied pencil, manually writing any multiples. The waiters then come over and copy it down. Why not just order conventionally and not have to throw the menus away after every customer leaves? Service was attentive considering how busy the restaurant was. Food is decent, if you like dim sum. The Gyoza are quite authentic. At £180 for three people, I felt the restaurant was expensive for the "fast food" experience provided. If I returned, I wouldn't go for the £40 set menu, which was costly for the small amount of food provided for it.

My first time dining at a Ping Pong restaurant.
Was a pretty average experience overall.
Everything about it was OK and standard.
3/5 is ideal mark. If you want something straight forward, good value and an easy lunch then this is the place to go.
Properly won't be going back as there is too many other restaurants to try in London.

We visited here on a Monday around 6pm, wasn’t too busy so didn’t have to wait long for a table.
Our waiter was lovely and checked on us throughout the meal. We went straight in with the pizzas, all of which were cooked perfectly and were delicious. the favourite was the BBQ Burnt Ends Pizza so would definitely suggest a try!
We finished it off with a Biscoff ice cream sundae which was a lovely sweet treat.
We have been here many times and always had a good experience with the welcoming staff. Look forward to coming again soon!

I made a big mistake in capping my last night in London in this restaurant. The food was great, but the service was CRAPPY.
When I arrived, it took a long time for me to be entertained. I understand if it was a busy night, but no. There were plenty of empty tables. Probably they were understaffed that night. 🤷
Finally, a male server (let's call him vincent) noticed me, but he didn't play host. He just said something like, "Somebody will be with you soon." Perhaps it's not his job, but of the maître d'. 🤷 So, it's fine.
After some time, I was seated and given the menu, it took them a LOOONG time to take my orders. I tried to get the attention of a server, which is vincent. And he just said," Yes, yes, yes." with an annoying tone and walked past me; he didn't take my order. Maybe it's not his area of responsibility. 🤷 Then, I waited again for so long. I was already planning to leave, but a female server (let's call her honey) at last came to take my orders.
Then during my entire meal, NOBODY asked if everything's okay, how was the food, yadda-yadda. Unlike other restaurants I had been to even if it was a busy time. Take note: They were doing it to the other customers.
After my main meal, I wanted to order a dessert. I tried to get honey's attention, but she just walked past me looking at somewhere else. Let's give her the benefit of the doubt. Possibly she really didn't see/hear me. In the end, a different male server took my order.
When I was going to pay my bill, funnily enough, vincent gave me a damn when he previously didn't.
I was so glad that I didn't need to pay for a service fee. Even if there was, I will surely pay for it, but definitely UNHAPPILY. I didn't even leave a gratuity. Why would I give a tip if I received a subpar service?
I sincerely hope the reason for their poor quality service is because they're undertrained, not because I was subjected to racial discrimination. I'm Asian with dominant East Asian features.

Absolutely fantastic experience at Pizza Express! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome and ensured we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxing meal.
The pizza was perfection—crispy, flavorful, and loaded with fresh ingredients. You can truly taste the quality in every bite. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, helping us make the best choices.
I also appreciated how well they handled dietary requests, offering delicious options for all preferences. The service was quick and efficient, and the overall vibe was just great.
Highly recommend Pizza Express for anyone looking for great food, excellent service, and a wonderful dining experience. Will definitely be back soon!

The pizza is nice, but I had to ask them to cut for me into pieces. I don’t know if it’s the norm here in London, but I was surprised that it wasn’t already cut into slices. Overall chill place to hangout in. Got those bread appetizer dough, but I personally wasn’t a big fan.

We fell over this place randomly while walking, and went inside. The place seems small from the outside, but it's actually very big.
We got served by some lovely staff members, who where helpful, one in particular, named Monika. She was very sweet, and ended up serving us, whenever we visited. The food was lovely.

Service and atmosphere were as expected. The food was disappointing and overpriced. The chicken Milanese at £21.95 was "dry as a bone". My spaghetti carbonara was nice, but at £17.45 I expected a larger portion.
The restaurant relies on its convenient location, and the fact it was half empty on a Saturday evening speaks for itself.
Joanna Birch - 5 months ago
Location, atmosphere, company was great. Carbonara was not like Florence. The grilled steak tasted burned unfortunately. Was cooked perfectly on the inside, but the grill marks were too pronounced with burnt.

Nice venue, we ordered 2 pasta’s, the sauces were good, but the prawns in my pasta was tiny, it was definitely just shrimps. Service was ok but lacked attention to detail, the staff were talking to each other a lot, we had to get up to get attention a couple of times. Think this place would be good for drinks, not sure I’d eat there again.

Had a fabulous experience at this restaurant which we booked for 19 people before seeing a show at The Old Vic. Super convenient for both Waterloo and the theatre, the whole process of booking and dining could not have been better. Special shout out to Eva who made it easy and efficient from booking to serving us. Eating in the space under the arch made it feel like a private room, and all our food came out hot, correct and delicious - mean feat for such a large group. Prices were really reasonable too, especially for London. Couldn’t fault it from start to finish and will definitely book again!

La Barca was our first dinner in London and it did not disappoint! The waiting staff was extremely friendly and took care of us as if we were family. The food was incredible and super authentic. The lobster ravioli I had was delicious and in some sort of cream sauce that had hints of pumpkin that just really worked. Would 100% recommend stopping in for a meal!

My God !!! What a restaurant.
Visited last night for dinner with work colleagues and without any doubt had the best Italian food I have had for years.
Service was superb and the food was sublime.
All the fish tasted like we were by the ocean and the pastas were cooked perfectly.
The steak simply melted In the mouth.
I’ll be back as soon as possible.

Went here for lunch last week. Only had a starter, main and still water.
Service was friendly and attentive and they looked after me well.
The salmon starter with crab etc was delicious and a fairly sizable portion. Good quality salmon.
For the main I had duck supreme and as you can tell from the photos it was awesome. Great flavour. Great texture. Great smell. Was a top top dish. Didn’t realise you could eat so well here. It was a real treat.
Will definitely go again.

every aspect of our meal was executed to absolute perfection. I had the branzino and it was perfectly cooked and wonderfully fresh. The service was spot on from seating through dessert. Their wine recommendation was perfect. When I get back to London, I will definitely return.
*they typically de-bone the branzino. I requested it as a whole fish.
