Modern, centrally located hotel, five minutes walk of Waterloo Station and within sight of Westminster Bridge and The London Eye.
Public areas of the hotel were clean and bright.
Good buffet style breakfast with a large varied selection of options, from a Full English Breakfast, omelettes made to order or a selection of fresh fruit, pastries or cereal.
The bedrooms were adequate, but looked very tired and in need of serious refurbishment.
Would I choose to stay there again, probably not. Plenty of other hotels to choose from in Central London, which offer better value for money

Pros:
- Nice, clean hotel.
- Great rainfall shower and comfy beds
- 3 minute walk from London Eye, London Dungeon, Aquarium, Waterloo Bridge & Station
- Welcoming staff
- Great amenities in hotel room: hairdryer, iron and board, safe, etc.
- Gym and steam & sauna rooms available
Cons:
- Twin room had window view of the small courtyard / other walls of the hotel. This was not communicated to us. We had thought we would get a nice view of London from our window. For the price we paid (expensive for us) it would have been nice to have been told in advance that our room was not overlooking London.
- we needed extra toilet paper, towels, etc, and did the quick elevator ride down to the lobby to get these ourselves but were told staff would bring them up to our room. Once we got back to our room empty handed, staff took around an hour to bring these things to our room during a very quiet period (11pm) and forgot half of what we asked for. By this point it was late so we went to bed and asked for the rest the following day.
- Breakfast buffet varied and nice food but in my opinion not worth the cost unless you plan to eat £30 worth of food for breakfast. If you just plan to get a croissant, yogurt and fruit or even a full English, it would be cheaper to eat breakfast out each day and better quality.
- we were told the spa with massages and whatnot was under renovation so could not use it during our stay. Directed across road to sister hotel who had working spa, but same treatments cost double. Again, the spa not being open at County Hall was not communicated to us in advance and would have influenced whether we booked here had we been told as it was an element we were looking forward to.
- Plug socket in corridor broken with wire hanging out, was not fixed.

Stayed here for one night recently and have to say the service was second to none. Had been travelling for 9 hours and when we got there they treated us to a complimentary free drink at the bar. Slight confusion with check in but sorted in no time. We got a small suite with a mini kitchenette. Bed was really comfortable, only issue was some of the plug sockets in the room did not work. Ideally located next to Waterloo train station. Would recommend staying here if ever in London

I have stayed at this hotel twice now. Once in 2019 and once last week (2024). It’s the perfect hotel for visiting London due to its close location to the Waterloo station, Parliament, and Big Ben. Lots of great food options available along the water as well.
The hotel is clean, staff friendly, and the location is excellent. It’s also a good pricing when compared to other hotels in the area.
This most recent stay, we were upgraded to one of the pent houses, so we had the balcony to enjoy some of Londons best views. It was a nice surprise and I really enjoyed being able to sit outside in the mornings and afternoons.
Hoping to return to London in another few years and stay here again. Highly recommend Park Plaza County Hall London.

An amazing birthday dinner! We had the set menu with starters and mains and both were delicious! Portion sizes and value for money were excellent. The atmosphere was great with live music playing but it wasn't too loud upstairs so we could still have a conversation. Table by the window was lovely as we could see all the lights outside and it was cool hearing trains go over above. Staff were excellent and really attentive, they really made our evening. Thank you!

Great restaurant under the railway arches. Fabulous live jazz. We enjoyed the Louise Messenger Quartet. My steak frites were delicious. Friendly service.

Visited this restaurant with work colleagues for lunch and I must say, I was very impressed with everything. The food was outstanding. I had a vegetarian dish from the main menu with mushroom and cheese. This service was excellent and very quick. I would totally recommend this restaurant to anyone working nearby as well as tourists. I will also visit here again.

Nice place for dinner. The food was good but seemed to vary based on what you got. The rotisserie chicken was a great value and amazing meal. Nice drinks and wine. They had live jazz that was enjoyable. Service was good but not above and beyond.

Unique experience dining under the railway track and having the place rumble ever once a while. It sort of help digest food a bit better. Joke aside, was there for a planned dinner for a party of 20ish and the order taken were accurate and well prepared. There were no mix up and the steak came at the right requested done-ness. Appetiser were good, except the prawn which were overly fried. The fillet steak can be slightly bigger perhaps as it doesn’t do justice to the experience. Dessert, well, there is always room for more.
Drinks were good with selections of local and foreign beer. A good place for group eat if planned ahead with the restaurant!

We went during dancing time so we did not try their food. It was pretty dead for a Friday night. Only one more couple there when we arrived and later on a group of 5/6 arrived as well. If you’re looking for a lovely spot displaying Cuban pride and music though and don’t mind bringing your one people it’s a nice option. The bartender was great!

Had a beautiful experience dining here. The food was delicious. The ambience isn’t bad but I love it; one can see the streets from inside the restaurant. There’s lots of posters and “graffiti” from old times on the walls which gives it an even more interesting feel. I wish it was slightly bigger because it felt cramped inside. The waiters were helpful and polite. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and would definitely recommend it.

Good happy hour deals. Yum food! Very busy during happy hour so took awhile to get help. Our waiter Emily was so lovely, always smiling and tried to help us as best she could!

Food was good, starter we chose, 3 different humus was really tasty.. went at happy hour, so pleased with our extra drinks ! One wine was full of grunge, but staff were excellent, apologetic and quick to get a replacement one. Rest of food was tasty but not spectacular. It was quiet when we went, but I'm sure would have a great vibe when busy. Staff were very helpful and nice. Would go again..

Went here for my sisters birthday and was served by Alex. He was so great with us, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food and drinks were 10/10, everything tasted so fresh and flavorful so big compliments to the chef. Thankyou for such a memorable meal, we will be back again soon.

My first visit although I have been a member for a while. I had a lovely visit. My room was perfect, wonderfully clean and just right. The food was good. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone was most helpful and friendly.

Just home from staying at the UJC for the first time. Safe to say most definitely not the last. Our early arrival at the front desk, meant we were able to use the baggage room prior to check in. Being unfamiliar the staff were as expected well turned out and extremely helpful in pointing us in the right direction. From the get go, I felt at home and relaxed. The family room was spotless and ideal for what we needed. A very warm weekend, but not a drama, decent fans were provided in the rooms.
The bar and restaurant facilities, the friendly staff and decent quality of food and drink selection absolutely made our weekend. Our young daughter was a bit dubious about coming, but she loved it!! Apologies to anyone nearly tripping over her on the floor as she went about perfecting her camera skills in the various areas of the club.
For a first visit, it exceeded everything, now looking at when we can come back.

I've stayed a couple of times. The bedrooms are ridiculously hot. We had breakfast the next morning and the restaurant was also far too hot. The air-conditioning was either broken in here or just didn't exist.
The location is fantastic. The rooms are clean.

What an amazing place, perfect for veterans and serving members of the Military.
The rooms are absolutely spotless and super comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay.

Unlike any other hotel, this place really feels like a home away from home. The staff are very professional and hardworking, especially the servers in the restaurant and there is a real sense of community here.
We got a room on the 20th floor and the views are unmatched in central London for a hotel of this price point.
The price is literally unbeatable in this part of London and being across the road from Waterloo station we were able to travel to any part of the city with ease, I hope to be back again soon.

We had a good time here; the service & vibe was great. The food was fine, I remember it being better in the past. The dumplings were great, as were the katsu chicken bao buns, but the crispy chicken & chilli chicken rice bowl just lacked a bit of flavour.

My first time dining at a Ping Pong restaurant.
Was a pretty average experience overall.
Everything about it was OK and standard.
3/5 is ideal mark. If you want something straight forward, good value and an easy lunch then this is the place to go.
Properly won't be going back as there is too many other restaurants to try in London.
Joe Stoker - 4 months ago
The food was great and we opted for the lazy sumday. The staff might have been overworked and the place was extremely busy, came off as a bit cold and rude. Would definitely emphasise to check your bill - we were charged for three items that were a part of the deal. When pointed out the staff made a face and did not even apologies for this mistake. Halal options available

Best place to visit if you love a good happy hour with cocktails and dimsum. Be warned that not everything on the menu is half price during happy hours, only those with "HH" next to it. There's a decent amount of selection, and the cocktails are great with a bit of asian fusion to it. Although, I ordered the elderflower sakitini, and it had the lychee flavour to it with everyone in my table ordering the lychee and roses cocktail. Service is quick, perfect if you're starving already. Great place for conversations with friends. You can drink asian cocktails and nibble on some prawn crackers and edamame for half the price.

London celebrates its culinary diversity and this is one of them.
Their dim sum's flavours aren't exactly what I called traditional or authentic, but their textures were superb. The dumpling and har gau skins were all fresh, chewy, and well made. The crust of their spring roll and cake were fried to perfection--crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. A harmonious balance of yin and yang. Great effort indeed!
Although the flavours aren't traditional, the taste is still delicious and creative at times.
All female members of staff (including the manager-looking lady and Aiswarya) were very attentive to customer needs when I was there; while, strangely, the male members never looked at my way when I needed something. No smile on their faces, neither.
For first timers, I recommend the set menu (available all day) to try.

We visited here on a Monday around 6pm, wasn’t too busy so didn’t have to wait long for a table.
Our waiter was lovely and checked on us throughout the meal. We went straight in with the pizzas, all of which were cooked perfectly and were delicious. the favourite was the BBQ Burnt Ends Pizza so would definitely suggest a try!
We finished it off with a Biscoff ice cream sundae which was a lovely sweet treat.
We have been here many times and always had a good experience with the welcoming staff. Look forward to coming again soon!

The pizza is nice, but I had to ask them to cut for me into pieces. I don’t know if it’s the norm here in London, but I was surprised that it wasn’t already cut into slices. Overall chill place to hangout in. Got those bread appetizer dough, but I personally wasn’t a big fan.

Good size pizza, great service.
I was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere after at first expecting it to be a little claustrophobic due to there being a lot of seats close together and it being on the lower ground. We were sat near the window and it didn’t feel crowded at all.

Love Pizza Express pizzas. Quick bite after the theatre. Not very busy but was told only one waiter was on. The others came on at 5pm. Took a while to get order in. Pizzas were lovely but very hard to cut. Not sure if that was th3 base or the blunt cutlery. Used the pizza cutter but ended up just tearing it to pieces! Used Tesco Clubcard points towards the total cost so happy. Waiter and service was fine.

There was a group of about 40 middle school students and teachers out front as we approached the restaurant. My first thought was, uh oh, I hope we don't have to wait too long for a table. Nope... this place was huge. It looked modern and clean. Our server looked a little stressed because he said he unexpectedly had a huge group to serve, so we made sure to put our whole order in before he got to them.
This place definitely caters to kids. They have a kids' menu with cups filled with colored pencils. They also had a good deal for a kids' meal: app, main, and dessert. The app was the dough balls, which was a plate of four round bread, butter, cucumber, and Thompson tomatoes. His main was an American pizza (pepperoni pizza), which was large enough for him. For dessert, he chose the brownie, which was pretty small.
My first drink was Raspberry Cosmo Spritz. It tasted like Sprite. I asked to switch to something else, so I got a margarita. That was also awful. If you get a drink here, you'd be better off with beer.
The calamari we ordered was like onion rings; lots of bread. The Padana pizza was pretty good.

We fell over this place randomly while walking, and went inside. The place seems small from the outside, but it's actually very big.
We got served by some lovely staff members, who where helpful, one in particular, named Monika. She was very sweet, and ended up serving us, whenever we visited. The food was lovely.

Location, atmosphere, company was great. Carbonara was not like Florence. The grilled steak tasted burned unfortunately. Was cooked perfectly on the inside, but the grill marks were too pronounced with burnt.
Larry Barron - 2 months ago
Service and atmosphere were as expected. The food was disappointing and overpriced. The chicken Milanese at £21.95 was "dry as a bone". My spaghetti carbonara was nice, but at £17.45 I expected a larger portion.
The restaurant relies on its convenient location, and the fact it was half empty on a Saturday evening speaks for itself.

Nice venue, we ordered 2 pasta’s, the sauces were good, but the prawns in my pasta was tiny, it was definitely just shrimps. Service was ok but lacked attention to detail, the staff were talking to each other a lot, we had to get up to get attention a couple of times. Think this place would be good for drinks, not sure I’d eat there again.

Nice place, Has a lovely decor inside and a nice atmosphere. Food is a decent price for central London but still a lot for pasta. Had a nice family lunch here. They are welcoming to small children which is good and service was good.

Went here for lunch last week. Only had a starter, main and still water.
Service was friendly and attentive and they looked after me well.
The salmon starter with crab etc was delicious and a fairly sizable portion. Good quality salmon.
For the main I had duck supreme and as you can tell from the photos it was awesome. Great flavour. Great texture. Great smell. Was a top top dish. Didn’t realise you could eat so well here. It was a real treat.
Will definitely go again.

I thought this was a fantastic restaurant with great service very good food and cheery atmosphere. Only reason the food was rated a 4 instead of a 5 was the mayonnaise based sauce for the Octopus special was a little too heavy and the Octopus itself was mixed between cooked just right and over done.

Great pre theater setting. Lots of fun actors photos adorn the walls.
The food was ok. Bruschetta needed more flavor. Duck Paperdelle was a bit rich. The sauce overpowered the duck. The outstanding dish was the pasta with clams. Nice clams. Tasty sauce.
Service was fine. Thankful they moved our food along as we were headed to a show afterward.
