We just returned from an 8-night stay at the Clermont Victoria. We had a very pleasant stay. The location is brilliant. We were able to access all of London and beyond via Victoria Station, which was accessed directly from the hotel into the Hall. We opted for breakfast, which was good, but nothing special. By the last day, we were ready to have different tastes. The staff was very attentive and knowledgeable. Paddy was extremely helpful and definitely a customer service gem. The ONLY real criticism and the reason we would NOT stay at the Clermont again is the fact that there is absolutely NO drawer space, and precious little shelf space for clothing storage! Considering an 8 night stay, we just assumed being able to unpack - not the opposite. We lived out of our suitcases and packing cubes for the entire time. We booked an upgraded room that was large and had a sofa - but we never sat on it because our clothing was spread out on it. So much for the cocktail party we had hoped to host! PLEASE management - try to address this issue. We are SURE that this is not the first time you have heard this critique.

Our stay was very comfortable at the Clermont and the staff were very attentive and friendly! The location was perfect and the station being right around the corner was so convenient. Only downside was we had a very small room so hard to lay out luggage.

Very well appointed Hotel situated in a great location in Victoria. Room sizes vary and we wanted to match the US standard size, thus the Superior room was perfect for us. The room interior was very quiet while having a busy street just outside our windows. Room cleaning was impeccable but I'm docking one star for the service provided in the afternoon tea. I must say, it was underwhelming and left us disappointed on how we were treated.
I highly recommend the Clermont London, Victoria to anyone looking for quiet and spacious rooms and key location. It's not the cheapest hotel in the area but it's worth its price - just skip the afternoon tea and go somewhere else.

Highly recommended to any travelers. Beds are super comfy, with soft sheets, and very nice comforter. We stayed for 7 nights and there was not a single night I didn't enjoy my sleep.
Receptionist and doorman were very friendly and patience with our questions.
Location is also very convenient, right next to Victoria train station (don't worry noise level is very minimal) and underground, also bus stops nearby. Short walk to Buckingham palace and Hyde park.
Overall we were very satisfied with our stay and would recommend to anyone who's looking for a place to get some good rest during your journey.

This is a very charming hotel, with a stately atmosphere. The staff are very friendly. We had the breakfast, but we were not impressed. That may just be because we’re American. It is more than one building that are connected, so it’s a bit disjointed. So one floor in one section, does not equate with the same floor in a different section. We were quite disappointed with the room. It was very small, and there was nowhere to put any clothes. We were essentially living out of our suitcase. We wound up having to pay another hundred pounds per night to get a reasonably sized room, which we were happier with. Location is excellent.

Hospitality at its finest. The stay was amazing in every way possible. The staff was top notch. The room was incredibly clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good. I felt like a long lost relative being welcomed home. The staff were so nice and friendly. They called cabs and helped with our luggage and even found me a power converter so i could use my hair tools. great location within walking distance of many great London sights.

One of the most pleasant stays of my life. Unbelievably friendly staff, room service was delicious, proximity to everything was great. I would love to stay here again. The gentleman who works there that is a Chelsea fan, he was amazing. I felt like the staff cared about my wife and I. We stayed for 8 or 9 days and wish we could’ve stayed longer. Highly recommend staying here, Victoria is a great little neighborhood. Loved it, 1000/10.

The service at the Rubens is very good! They truly go out of their way to try and help you. During my visit I had nothing but good things to say about the staff however you can tell they are definitely going through a change in staff/service because there were a few hiccups that we experienced and that I witnessed others have. Let me be clear though the main front guest staff were all fantastic. Overworked and understaffed but fantastic. I hope management reads this because they need to make sure to provide more support to their team. Multiple guest around me witnessed how overworked and overwhelmed the staff were.
Now the rooms need a lot of love. They are very dated and not in a good way. The hotel needs renovations. A good place may be to start with the mattress it was definitely not good enough for a 5 star hotel.
This could truly be a 5 star hotel with renovations to the room and if they continue to tighten up the overall service of all their staff but for now I would consider looking elsewhere if looking for the 5- star experience.

A true classic that has continued to remain upscale, hospitable and exquisite. The staff at this hotel is amongst some of the finest, most attentive and truly friendly. Raj who works the door was a true gentleman and a stand out person from our arrival through departure. Leo who works in the main restaurant went above and beyond for us. Anyone would be lucky to stay at this property.

My recent stay at The Reubens at the palace was exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm and genuine hospitality. The staff here felt like a family creating a warm and welcoming environment.
This was my first experience in a luxury hotel which itself was immaculate and the rooms were beautifully designed and had some wonderful historic features.
The culinary experience was equally impressive. The breakfast was delicious especially the hash brown and the homemade smoothies. The evening cocktails were also a highlight and it was a pleasure to experience a talented singer performing in the bar.
I can honestly say that this was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had, and I can't wait for my next visit.

What a pleasant surprise. Good service and really good Thai food. Summer rolls were exceptional and the drunken noodles and papaya salad were both punchy, spicy and hit the spot. £38 was reasonable for the amount and quality of food. 2 people could have shared that…but I was on my own. Would definitely go again.

Stopped in for lunch on Sat. Both Bell and other chap very attentive and helpful. Food was delicious and presented well. Had Classic Sharing platter to start, followed by Tom Yum Goong and Clear Noodle Soup with Chicken. Would highly recommend

We ordered Pad Thai (King Prawns) and Classic Platter for sharing, the food was great. That's perfect for 2 people. I like the Chicken satay & Honey-marinated pork skew, must try! The iced milk tea was not as usual, it is milky and you can taste milk more than tea.

Excellent place near the theater and train station. Stopped in before a show. Service staff was very helpful in pointing out good combinations from the menu. We had the green curry, Tom ka, and pad see ewe, all were excellent. The Thai tea was amazing too. Prices were very reasonable. If you like Thai food, well worth the stop.

Nice hotel in a great central location. We arrived early and were able to check in which was greatly appreciated. There was a lot of construction during our visit so the buses weren't operating normal routes.
We were offered to forgo house cleaning for 3days in exchange for $30 towards the restaurant. You still get fresh towels, tea and such so we accepted.
The rooms were clean and the shower had rainfall and handheld option with solid pressure. The whole room can be controlled by bedside controls which was a great touch.
The hotels in London can be quite expensive, this was great value and great accommodations. I would stay again.

I stayed at this hotel due to its convenient location, but unfortunately, it was one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. The rooms were outdated, and there wasn’t even a minibar. To make matters worse, the fridge was completely empty—not even a complimentary bottle of water provided.
When I went down to the reception at 8 a.m. to ask for some water, I was told none was available at reception and that I should go to the bar. The bar, however, was closed with a sign indicating it would only open at 9 a.m. I was left speechless, especially as I needed water to take my medication. Thankfully, a kind staff member in the restaurant helped me out.
The coffee in the bar was terrible, likely made from the cheapest beans available. To top it all off, I was rudely woken up at 7 a.m. by room service, even though I wasn’t due to check out that morning. I’ve never encountered room service disturbing guests so early on a non-checkout day.
I cannot understand how this hotel has a 4-star rating; it wouldn’t even deserve 3 stars in my opinion. While the location is great, there are plenty of hotels in London near underground stations and central spots, so I definitely won’t be staying here again.

Nice hotel, clean and well kept! Nice staff for the most part, a bit dated in the rooms and they were a bit dark and had kinda weird lighting. Glass for a bathroom door was a bit strange. We enjoyed our stay though!
Sean Penner - in the last week
At check-in, Oksana was quick to take care of us and was amazing. While the staff has been lovely, the rest leaves something to be desired. We are paying 4 star prices for a 2 star hotel. We have been bothered by the renovation noise that seems to be happening all around our room. The room we were giving needs desperately to be updated as well. The shower head does not move, the water leaks out onto the floor and is a bit on the small side. The mattress needs to be replaced and possibly the frame as well. The toilet is low to the ground and may or may not flush when you push the handle.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Park Plaza Hotel Victoria, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience! The hotel's location is perfect, just a short walk from Buckingham Palace and Victoria Station.
The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, particularly Mohamed at the front desk, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. Dhatchu, the concierge, was also extremely helpful in recommending local attractions and making reservations.
The rooms were modern, clean, and well-appointed, with all the amenities one could need. The breakfast buffet was delicious, with a wide variety of options to suit every taste.
But what really made our stay stand out was the exceptional service from the entire team, including Mash, who ensured our room was spotless and well-stocked every day.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Park Plaza Hotel Victoria to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in London. We can't wait to return.

Traditional London pub down a back street near Victoria station🍻🍺
Friendly staff and good selection of drinks. Didn’t look at the food selection.
The tables outside have QR codes to order to the tables. Toilets are upstairs which seem to have been refurbished as they are nice and clean.🍻 two ciders costed £13

I usually drop into the Buckingham Arms when in this area but because the Phoenix was less than an 12 year old’s shot put distance from my hotel I decided to darken their door. Glad, no thrilled I did. The lads behind the bar were excellent and the Cider was frigid on a bloody humid day. You can see by my included photos what I had for lunch. I can say without hesitation, if you are in the neighborhood that you would be doing yourself a disservice if you walked by without at least ordering a pint. Come here! Drink here! Eat here! I would have rated the atmosphere a 5 as well but I arrived early and I was one of very few day drinking. Fools! Retire early and day drink! I recommend that and the Phoenix! Top shelf.

You know what you’re getting with a Young’s pub, they often just do the job without fuss. The Phoenix is no different, it’s classy but not OTT, the beer is decent and the clientele are a nice mixed bunch (with a slight tilt towards old money). Dependable.

We went yesterday for a team fish & chip afternoon tea for 10 people. The food and service was fantastic. A big thank you to our waiter. There was so much food and we had plenty to take away. We were there at 2.30 so the place was very quiet and did lack a bit of atmosphere but I’m when it busier it would be buzzy.

Attended yesterday with my mum for the fish and chip afternoon tea. We were very warmly greeted by all staff upon our arrival as they were standing by the bar and taken to our seat. Huge portions of afternoon tea were quickly served within minutes alongside our drinks made to order. Food was amazing and the atmosphere was lovely, nothing too much trouble. Totally worth every penny. Our main waitress was a lovely european lady with red hair, her service was immaculate, she was extremley friendly and attentive but not too much that we couldnt enjoy our time. We were also served by a younger african lady with long hair, she was also faultless and so kind when speaking to us. Both of these ladies are a credit to the team. Apologies for being descriptive about staff members but they didnt have name badges and I wanted to give them a special mention. I overheard a conversation between one of the male staff members, i think the manager? And another table who had a lot of requests+. Both myself and my mother noted how accomodating he was and went above and beyond to give the customers a great experience. We have already recommended to friends and family and look forward to returning! Thankyou for a great time.

Carbonara was a little dry, otherwise, very nice.
Was given a glass with a large crack in it, but this was replaced immediately without any fuss. Staff behind the counter had a huge backlog of bottles and glasses to deal with, and did so very noisy, one glass fell on the floor and smashed. Expensive.

Had the spaghetti Bolognese, a leafy salad with Caesar dressing, garlic flatbread. Everything was very good. Service was quick. Servers were very friendly and helpful when we asked about several dishes. Definitely will go back again when I am in London. They also gave us an order of crisps sprinkled with paprika powder before our meal arrived.

The food is very tasty and worth the money!!! However, the staff is just awful. They made at least 5 mistakes during dinner (brought different drinks/food compared to what we ordered). For example, when we ordered red wine they brought rose and vice versa. Also, when we paid in cash, the manager told us that she doesn’t have 5£ to give for change (when our bill was over 400£), and told us that she can’t give us the change. I think that’s totally unacceptable when you pay that much money. The waiters were also looking at us as if we own them something: would recommend this place for good food, but not good service.

A large pub, located near Victoria train station. The interior is quite nicely decorated, in the style characteristic of English pubs. Quite crowded. I didn't stay long, just had a beer. An OK experience, a good place where you can wait for the time to pass while waiting for the train.

Fresh off Gatwick Express, this was my inaugural London Pub experience 😀 A sympathetic bar goddess explained the ropes…1) Buy a drink at bar…2) find a free table and note the number…3) review menu…4) leave drink and coat at table and go back to bar and order food with the table number…5) Sit back down and make friends…6) Food arrives…7) Repeat as necessary.
This lesson worked at most pubs there after…but The Shakespeare was my first kiss ❤️ Food and drinks were excellent.
