An absolutely delightful experience. I would like to thank the fantastic team at the Afternoon Tea service for the kindness and for finding a table even though I did not have a reservation. They were very professional and the tea experience was impeccable. The Christmas decoration of the team room was particularly nice. As far as the hotel room is concerned, I had a very comfortable stay. The staff at the front desk gave me useful tips for visiting London in Christmas time. Also, I’d like to thank the team at The Soak restaurant: very kind and smiling (Roy) - had a nice late dinner! Would recommend overall.

Gorgeous hotel in a superb location! Staff are so friendly and welcoming, we had a wonderful stay. Only one thing I would give out about is, the hotel is right next door to Victoria station which if like us you get a room at the back of the hotel you will here the trains and the voice over repeatedly.

Very well appointed Hotel situated in a great location in Victoria. Room sizes vary and we wanted to match the US standard size, thus the Superior room was perfect for us. The room interior was very quiet while having a busy street just outside our windows. Room cleaning was impeccable but I'm docking one star for the service provided in the afternoon tea. I must say, it was underwhelming and left us disappointed on how we were treated.
I highly recommend the Clermont London, Victoria to anyone looking for quiet and spacious rooms and key location. It's not the cheapest hotel in the area but it's worth its price - just skip the afternoon tea and go somewhere else.

We just returned from an 8-night stay at the Clermont Victoria. We had a very pleasant stay. The location is brilliant. We were able to access all of London and beyond via Victoria Station, which was accessed directly from the hotel into the Hall. We opted for breakfast, which was good, but nothing special. By the last day, we were ready to have different tastes. The staff was very attentive and knowledgeable. Paddy was extremely helpful and definitely a customer service gem. The ONLY real criticism and the reason we would NOT stay at the Clermont again is the fact that there is absolutely NO drawer space, and precious little shelf space for clothing storage! Considering an 8 night stay, we just assumed being able to unpack - not the opposite. We lived out of our suitcases and packing cubes for the entire time. We booked an upgraded room that was large and had a sofa - but we never sat on it because our clothing was spread out on it. So much for the cocktail party we had hoped to host! PLEASE management - try to address this issue. We are SURE that this is not the first time you have heard this critique.

Nice room, okay breakfast.
But lift was very slow and only one was working.
Staff at breakfast reception asked me “did you stay here last night”, which is a bit strange as I told her the room number 🤷♀️

Hospitality at its finest. The stay was amazing in every way possible. The staff was top notch. The room was incredibly clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good. I felt like a long lost relative being welcomed home. The staff were so nice and friendly. They called cabs and helped with our luggage and even found me a power converter so i could use my hair tools. great location within walking distance of many great London sights.

Stayed here for 2 nights & loved every minute. Amazing location on Buckingham Palace road, to the rear of the Kings residence. We were treated like royalty from the minute we arrived. Doormen, check-in staff, Concierge, waiters & bar staff were so friendly & always had time chat & couldn't do enough for us. Hotel oozed class & everything was in tip top condition. The carpets, furniture & furnishings were unblemished & the bedding, pillow cases & bathrobes all had the Rubens logo in gold embroidery. We didn't eat here but did have drinks in the bar which was unfortunately very busy & loud. Wonderful experience though. Definitely would have a return visit. In my opinion it beats The Waldorf, The Strand Palace & The Shard based on our experience.

My recent stay at The Reubens at the palace was exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm and genuine hospitality. The staff here felt like a family creating a warm and welcoming environment.
This was my first experience in a luxury hotel which itself was immaculate and the rooms were beautifully designed and had some wonderful historic features.
The culinary experience was equally impressive. The breakfast was delicious especially the hash brown and the homemade smoothies. The evening cocktails were also a highlight and it was a pleasure to experience a talented singer performing in the bar.
I can honestly say that this was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had, and I can't wait for my next visit.

My mother in law was visiting from Cape Town and I took her for Sunday Service at the Guards Chapel before coming to Ruben’s for coffee and a nibble.
I’ve always loved this hotel. I lived and worked at Buckingham Palace for many years so Ruben’s was on my doorstep.
The bar is so warming and welcoming with exquisite fabrics and furnishings.
My Mother-in-law loved everything about the experience.
Thank you so much for making her day so memorable.

Absolutely loved Rubens at Palace. Close to Buckingham Palace, the Mews etc, great dining room with sensational food. Breakfast was fabulous. The only downside was the size of the room. Very small but very clean and old world. I would stay here again when visiting from Australia in a heartbeat. Staff were sensational.

What a pleasant surprise. Good service and really good Thai food. Summer rolls were exceptional and the drunken noodles and papaya salad were both punchy, spicy and hit the spot. £38 was reasonable for the amount and quality of food. 2 people could have shared that…but I was on my own. Would definitely go again.

Excellent place near the theater and train station. Stopped in before a show. Service staff was very helpful in pointing out good combinations from the menu. We had the green curry, Tom ka, and pad see ewe, all were excellent. The Thai tea was amazing too. Prices were very reasonable. If you like Thai food, well worth the stop.

Nice hotel but the rooms are a bit dated and lacking in maintenance ( we stayed in a superior king room )
The real let down was communication, I emailed the hotel on 3 separate occasions prior to our stay and did not receive a single reply to any of them.
The saving grace was the fantastic breakfast, smoked mackerel, Stilton, salad as well as a perfectly cooked full English Breakfast and an abundance of fruit.
Would I stay here again ?
Yes I probably would, however, there are better hotels within the Park Plaza group.

Nice hotel in a great central location. We arrived early and were able to check in which was greatly appreciated. There was a lot of construction during our visit so the buses weren't operating normal routes.
We were offered to forgo house cleaning for 3days in exchange for $30 towards the restaurant. You still get fresh towels, tea and such so we accepted.
The rooms were clean and the shower had rainfall and handheld option with solid pressure. The whole room can be controlled by bedside controls which was a great touch.
The hotels in London can be quite expensive, this was great value and great accommodations. I would stay again.

We had a lovely experience at the Park Plaza Victoria. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly and approachable staff. A special mention to Oksana, who checked us in with a smile and even gave us a complimentary upgrade. It was a nice touch and really got our stay off to a great start.
Our room was comfortable and well-appointed with some tech features which controlled blinds, AC and lighting. The breakfast offered a good variety of choices to set us up for the day. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was great.
The only slight downside was the lighting in the room. It was a bit dim, which I assume was intended to create a relaxed atmosphere. However, due to the location of our room, it didn’t get much natural sunlight, which made it a little tricky when getting ready for a night out. But honestly, this was a minor issue in what was otherwise a great stay.
We’d definitely stay at the Park Plaza Victoria again and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay in the area!

Another disappointing park plaza experience. This was an attempt, after a recent negative review for another hotel in the group, to see if the chain could redeem itself but, alas… save for a handful of committed staff who are trying really hard to create a positive customer experience, the owners/management need to question their interest in the hospitality industry…. Rooms & decor are tired, response to queries and/or complaints was nowhere near dynamic or efficient. The level of dirt takes weeks to build up - this is not dirt simply left over from the previous tenant; when the infrastructure is old and tired… it’s impossible to clean effectively.
Our friends complained about a wet carpet on arrival (3pm) due, again, to tired decor and poor maintenance allowing seepage of water from the shower, beneath the door and onto the carpet beyond.. the room smelled of damp & mould (a health hazard to anyone with sensitivity to aspergillus niger) and was uninhabitable. When we returned to the hotel just before midnight, nothing had been done to correct the matter. No offer of a room change; we were told that there was no room to move to…
Undeterred, our companions insisted that something be done and suddenly, there was a room available. They were eventually moved around midnight, reluctantly!!!

Nice hotel, clean and well kept! Nice staff for the most part, a bit dated in the rooms and they were a bit dark and had kinda weird lighting. Glass for a bathroom door was a bit strange. We enjoyed our stay though!

Traditional London pub down a back street near Victoria station🍻🍺
Friendly staff and good selection of drinks. Didn’t look at the food selection.
The tables outside have QR codes to order to the tables. Toilets are upstairs which seem to have been refurbished as they are nice and clean.🍻 two ciders costed £13

I usually drop into the Buckingham Arms when in this area but because the Phoenix was less than an 12 year old’s shot put distance from my hotel I decided to darken their door. Glad, no thrilled I did. The lads behind the bar were excellent and the Cider was frigid on a bloody humid day. You can see by my included photos what I had for lunch. I can say without hesitation, if you are in the neighborhood that you would be doing yourself a disservice if you walked by without at least ordering a pint. Come here! Drink here! Eat here! I would have rated the atmosphere a 5 as well but I arrived early and I was one of very few day drinking. Fools! Retire early and day drink! I recommend that and the Phoenix! Top shelf.

We went yesterday for a team fish & chip afternoon tea for 10 people. The food and service was fantastic. A big thank you to our waiter. There was so much food and we had plenty to take away. We were there at 2.30 so the place was very quiet and did lack a bit of atmosphere but I’m when it busier it would be buzzy.

Attended yesterday with my mum for the fish and chip afternoon tea. We were very warmly greeted by all staff upon our arrival as they were standing by the bar and taken to our seat. Huge portions of afternoon tea were quickly served within minutes alongside our drinks made to order. Food was amazing and the atmosphere was lovely, nothing too much trouble. Totally worth every penny. Our main waitress was a lovely european lady with red hair, her service was immaculate, she was extremley friendly and attentive but not too much that we couldnt enjoy our time. We were also served by a younger african lady with long hair, she was also faultless and so kind when speaking to us. Both of these ladies are a credit to the team. Apologies for being descriptive about staff members but they didnt have name badges and I wanted to give them a special mention. I overheard a conversation between one of the male staff members, i think the manager? And another table who had a lot of requests+. Both myself and my mother noted how accomodating he was and went above and beyond to give the customers a great experience. We have already recommended to friends and family and look forward to returning! Thankyou for a great time.

I ate here while staying next door at the Rubens (they are connected). I wanted something casual & fairly quick for dinner & can highly recommend this place. The service was excellent, my waiter (I think it was Geoffrey) was very friendly, as were the other staff. I had the burger which was so tasty & with a brioche bun (and better than the photos on here show). There was sports on the TV screens but it wasn't noisy. I'll definitely go back.

Perfectly 'safe' venue to visit. The menu is familiar and the service is quick. Being able to take home bits of pizza too was a win. It did feel at times that there was a lot going on and it was tricky to get a server's attention, though all very pleasant. The atmosphere is daytime and feels like you're at an airport. Quick for lunch though.

I recently visited and wanted to share my thoughts. The staff were incredibly nice and attentive, making our experience enjoyable. However, I think the menu could benefit from a greater variety of meats. Additionally, the pizza dough tasted like cardboard; I’d suggest adding some herbs and a bit of salt to enhance the flavour. Also, it could use more tomato sauce, as it lacked flavour (Margarita). On the other hand, the pasta was delightful and packed with flavour. Each bite was rich and satisfying, making it a standout dish that truly impressed! Overall, a nice place with room for improvement.

They have a QR code on their menu directing you to specific items on the menu that contain an allergen. That being said, this restaurant is very precautious when it comes to food allergies! The food was also delicious and we will be returning.

Carbonara was a little dry, otherwise, very nice.
Was given a glass with a large crack in it, but this was replaced immediately without any fuss. Staff behind the counter had a huge backlog of bottles and glasses to deal with, and did so very noisy, one glass fell on the floor and smashed. Expensive.

The food is very tasty and worth the money!!! However, the staff is just awful. They made at least 5 mistakes during dinner (brought different drinks/food compared to what we ordered). For example, when we ordered red wine they brought rose and vice versa. Also, when we paid in cash, the manager told us that she doesn’t have 5£ to give for change (when our bill was over 400£), and told us that she can’t give us the change. I think that’s totally unacceptable when you pay that much money. The waiters were also looking at us as if we own them something: would recommend this place for good food, but not good service.

A large pub, located near Victoria train station. The interior is quite nicely decorated, in the style characteristic of English pubs. Quite crowded. I didn't stay long, just had a beer. An OK experience, a good place where you can wait for the time to pass while waiting for the train.

Fresh off Gatwick Express, this was my inaugural London Pub experience 😀 A sympathetic bar goddess explained the ropes…1) Buy a drink at bar…2) find a free table and note the number…3) review menu…4) leave drink and coat at table and go back to bar and order food with the table number…5) Sit back down and make friends…6) Food arrives…7) Repeat as necessary.
This lesson worked at most pubs there after…but The Shakespeare was my first kiss ❤️ Food and drinks were excellent.
