The Service was incredible, they are all super friendly, kind and try their best to provide you with a good experience.
Definitely need a reservation before going.
They have several different food options and also different tea options depending on your preferences. The atmosphere is bright and fresh, truly recommend!

We had the champagne afternoon tea which was delicious. The sandwiches scones and desserts. The service was very good and the waitress replaced our jam and cream as needed a refill without us needing to ask. The choice of teas was lovely, would have loved to try them all!

Went for afternoon tea. Was immediately treated like we were intruding when we entered the hotel even though we asked politely where the afternoon tea room was (we were not dressed crazy or improper and we also had a reservation). The garden was lovely and very pretty, but the service throughout was subpar with no one asking how our meal was nor could we get a refill on tea since we could not find our waiter. The tea itself was very nice and the scones were very good, but the rest was average at best. Considering this is an expensive hotel, I expected it to be more accommodating or at least friendlier.

Quite a mediocre hotel, especially for the price. I was in a luxury room, but it was quite small and there was no coffee machine and I was told I had to pay 10 pounds if I wanted a coffee machine. During the day there was construction work that made it hard to do any reading or anything in the room. There was no available water except for a single bottle unless you wanted to pay for it at the tiny “bar.” This would be a fine hotel at half the price but it is definitely not a five star hotel.

Afternoon tea for our Silver Wedding anniversary was just splendid. Staff were attentive, friendly and made the occasion feel special with their congratulations. Would definitely choose Number Sixteen again for a special occasion

Great and well served authentic Spanish food (said by Spaniard), intense and delicious flavours.
Fast service and a good choice for a Sunday night when there are few places to dine in around.

nice food and service. we were served by the waitress who we don't know her name but her hair is a bit dyed pink. she serves us well and recommend some nice dishes. the octopus and the shrimp are must order, so yummy!

It never disappoints!
Good choice for tapas!
Especially the prawns aioli are insane!!
We also tried patatas bravas, pork cheeks, tortilla, that were well prepared and tasty.
Good selection of wines!
Staff is friendly.
There was very intense fish smell in the restaurant, maybe something to work on.

One of my favorite Spanish spots in London! I've been here several times, and it never disappoints. The gambas al ajillo are always a highlight – juicy, garlicky, and full of flavor. The croquetas are crispy perfection, and the Spanish tortilla hits the spot every time. Also, the chorizo is a must-try – smoky, rich, and pairs wonderfully with the rest of the dishes.
Good selection of wines.
The cozy atmosphere and friendly service make it a great place to relax and enjoy some authentic tapas. Definitely recommend for anyone craving a taste of Spain in London!

I stayed here for my 5 days in London for my Honeymoon. We had never been to London before and did research and thought this would be a great choice. The hotel is in a good location, close to the tube for travel but everything else fell short. Our honeymoon was not acknowledged even though we mentioned it, and signed up for the stars rewards where there was supposed to be a fun included promotion for us on this once in a lifetime trip, we also did not receive the discount at the restaurant for the stars and the restaurant food was as bland as humanly possible. I would not include the breakfast here as it’s overpriced and bad, we did not use it everyday and they would not refund us the difference. There is better breakfast in walking distance for a half of the price. There was no view to our room, just a back ally. The bed was comfortable but that’s about as good as it gets. I am super disappointed in this hotel pick, if you go. I would definitely do research and find a hotel much cheaper, as this was absolutely not even worth half the price of our stay, and long as you’re close to a tube you’re completely fine. I am baffled to read this is a 5 star hotel, I give it 3 stars and that’s being generous because everyone was actually very nice. It fell very short of what I wanted an amazing honeymoon stay to be and was definitely not 5 star service.

Nice location, close to the tube station. Arrived early morning and there was no sign of a doorman, so I had to lug my luggage up the front stairs all by myself. Anna at the front desk greeted me warmly and soon enough multifaceted porter Thomas came to relieved me from my suitcases. Later when I came back to properly check in, he brought them to my room, moved the beds further apart at my request and from that moment on I felt at ease. There is nothing more effective to feel welcomed, than to have a professional staff on the premises on a consistent basis.
Our double room faced the main busy thoroughfare which made me fearful the traffic would keep us awake, but Thomas pointed out the double paned windows, and we never felt disturbed by outdoor noise during our stay. By double I had wrongly assumed that the each bed would be a double (American size). But they were each a twin, which was a lesson to be learned.
An ample, well lit built in closet was a big plus. But as usual when one goes on a shopping trip, space is of the essence and we had to ask for some of their amenities (large tray with mugs an what nots on the table) and wingback upholstered chair to be removed as they were quite constricting.
The bathroom space was immense but it could have used some shelves by the sink so we could store our toiletries. We just had to find space around the sink to place them and it just looked cramped. The one thing I suggested at the front desk is that in the winter that bathroom needs a space heater, as using it in the middle of the night, felt like entering a meat cooler. A sleep disturber if there ever was once.
In contrast the elevator to the rooms is miniscule, enough for two persons only.
The breakfast offerings were very limited, run of the mill and overpriced. The staff looked rushed and overwhelmed.
The fresh fruit comes in a cheap, pickle glass jar that presentation wise, was a let down. Clever device that should be welcome in a diner, but a slap in the face to a customer staying at a 5 star hotel. We had also mentioned to our waitress that we would be paying in cash, but it was charged directly to our room, so we had to go upstairs to the front desk, pay cash and have the charge cancelled. Too much of a hassle and we never went back for breakfast.
The common areas on the first floor were large and well appointed, with clever use of upholstery.
Will only go back to The Pelham if Anna and Thomas are still working there, because it is always the way one is treated that makes the experience memorable. And they both did.

I have stayed for few times before in this property prior to Covid and it was always a top class experience. I came back this year and staying for few days. It is an absolute shock how the service level has deteriorated! Nothing can be attributed to a 5 stars English boutique hotel. Clearly the management decided to cut cost on the expense of customer experience. No 24 hours laundry service , no housekeeping after 6pm, limited in room dining menu, inexperienced staff in the night shift and it goes on. I certainly feel extremely disappointed having paid premium rate to get that level of service! The only thing prime about this property now is the location
Mushtaq Al Waeli - 4 months ago
Great location, the bus stop and tube station is right in front of the hotel. I would not rate this a 5 star hotel. Rooms were tiny and needed a refresh ( stained carpets, worn furniture). This is a 3 star hotel at best. Service was mediocre. You have to leave your key when you leave the hotel and there was not always a person at the front desk when you needed them.

Great Thai food!!! From my Thai’s perspective, this place filled with authentic taste of Thai. The food are very tasty and flavorful just like I had in Thailand. Peachy is very nice for the service.I’ll be back again for sure!

One of the best thai food i have eaten. The crispy squid was crispy and fresh with a nutty flavour. Atmosphere was just right, not too noisy nor quiet. Amazing service from Peachy who greeted me with a warm smile and was very knowledgeable about the food in their menu!

One of my favourite Thai spots, never disappoints. Went there to try my favourite pad thai and likewise it was absolutely delectable and the service by the lady was absolutely amazing, she was very attentive, kind and helpful. The whole restaurant is proper clean including the toilet, it's super clean and tidy despite being so busy, kudos to the management for that. All in all, it was a wonderful experience, highly recommended.

This wasn’t my first visit to this restaurant, and once again, it exceeded my expectations. The food is consistently delicious, offering that comforting, homemade taste that’s hard to find elsewhere. The service was excellent, and my friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our time here. We’ll definitely be coming back! The restaurant has a warm, cosy atmosphere that makes you feel as though you’ve stepped back in time. It’s truly a hidden gem for anyone craving authentic Polish cuisine and a unique dining experience.

Simply delicious food served in a unique atmosphere that feels both lively and homey. The service was great from start to finish—attentive, accommodating of extra requests, and genuinely kind.
The food was fantastic too, with bold, authentic flavours that truly shone in dishes like the borscht and the cheese-filled pancakes. The cozy, welcoming ambiance makes it feel as though you’re dining in the home of a talented Polish cook.
A true gem amidst the many touristy, mediocre spots in South Kensington.

If you want the feeling of being in a Polish grandma's kitchen, come here, because she's working.
I opted for a three course dinner, starting with some lovely Rye? Bread. My appetizer was a sausage with a crisp casing and a delicious, sour, cream sauce that was incredible.
The Duck Confit dinner was large and delicious with wonderful crisp skin. The ligonberries? (Not sure what was on the side) were lightly sweet which complemented the well seasoned duck and grain on the side.
The Apple Fritters were loaded with real apples and they were deliciously sweet. I'd come back just to try those fritters. They were such a real treat.
Very grateful to the kind and helpful staff working!

Solid food considering the prime location, prompt service.
Borscht is pleasantly peppery and served straight from the pot, rabbit more average, current menu didn't have venison dishes so disregard their online menu.
Prices are decent (mains for 20-25 pounds), reservations recommended for groups of 4+. Limited toilets, it seemed 1 per gender, too little given the high number of covers.

Not always easy finding choices for a vegetarian in a Polish restaurant but we had no problems here. It's a while since I was here but the food is as delicious, the service swift and charming. Sadly this terrace is under threat of being knocked down by TfL so get here whilst you can, it's an institution.

The best Indian food I’ve ever had! The lamb pasanda is incredible—rich, flavorful, and remind of my homemade curry lamb, but with an extra touch of creaminess, possibly from coconut milk? It truly elevates the dish.
The Indian bread is a huge hit with the kids—they can’t get enough of it and practically wipe their plates clean with every bite!
The only downside was the chicken, which was a bit dry, overcooked.Otherwise, this would be a perfect 10/10 meal!

⬇️Ordered the grilled prawns for £19.95 and got 3 on the plate. Perhaps the price was too steep for this one, even though they were tasty.
⬇️They also forgot my veg order and I had to wait for it. It was not fun eating one veg portion alone while my party finished with their meal.
⬆️good service, professional staff, checked on us a few times

A nice Italian restaurant near South Kensington station.
It’s a lot bigger on the inside than it looks.
The service is friendly and efficient. The food is good too.
Arancini was slightly under seasoned, but very crunchy and nice. The selection of bread was really good.
The pasta with pesto sauce was OK. It was good, but I’d prefer a bit punchier seasoning. But then, I am picky when it comes to pesto.
For a proper sit-in restaurant, the price tag is reasonable. I would happily go back and try other dishes.

Lovely ambiance. Husband got carbonara and I got the rigatoni. We were curious about it as it was near our hotel and we are in a journey to find the best carbonara outside Italy. I wouldn't say it was lackluster but it was not unforgettable that's it. Lovely interior though!

Had a fantastic lunch at Rocca! The food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The staff were amazing, so lovely and friendly. We tried the Americana pizza, lasagna, and linguine allo Scoglio—all were excellent, and we highly recommend them. One of the staff recommended the tiramisu, and we’re so glad they did—it’s an absolute must-try! We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend!

Good parmigiana di melanzane and galletto al mattone. Good burrata but I was expecting it as per the menu with pickled onion and instead it only had half a grilled tomato and grilled sourdough slice on a bed of oil, so much I couldn't eat the bread as it was soaked in oil.
I found the menu on the website different from what I got and also different from the downloaded pdf, basically they've got three menus (very confusing if you are planning ahead).
Pizza was not Neapolitan style so I didn't really like it, I found it dry and a bit hard to eat.
The lobster tortelloni were amazing.
The tiramisù was very good and came in a big portion!
It's unfortunate that there are some foreign influences (probably to sell more) which make this restaurant a bit on the tourist side and less authentic (e.g., cream in pasta dishes, cheesecake, salad served together with the main in the same plate) which makes sense for the area it's in.
The espresso was not bad which is a win in itself.
Service was great and very fast (it was not busy when I got there).
I would give half a star more but cannot give 4.

I like the seating area for some tables where you get to sit on tatami like structure.
I went around 1:30pm for lunch and it was very busy, and peaks off around 2pm. I ordered Beef Nabe (or AKA Sukiyaki, hotpot like dish), there was also Pork Nabe, waited for half an hour for food to come. The staffs were friendly and helpful.
It was my first time having Sukiyaki, the soup base is soy but sweet, plenty of udon noodles, beef and tofu and little bit of enoki mushrooms and fish cakes. I really liked the udon, chewy and smooth texture, tofu was soft, the beef slices were average, you could dip it in the two sauces provided: the Kewpie mayo or spring onion soy sauce. Overall great heartwarming dish for autumn.

Super nice atmosphere, delicious meal, good drinks. I liked it so much that I went back the next night to try another dish - on the first night, I ate the traditional fish and ships (which here is called Atlantic Cod & Chips and has a very special touch); the next night I ordered the Beef & Raclette Cheese Shortcrust Pie (my goodness, how delicious). To drink, a good beer and an aperol. Highlight for excellent quality service

We had a great time here. The Atlantic Cod and chips were some of the best I had in dining at several cities in the U.K. The staff was friendly, and the manager is completely awesome; he took care of a SNAFU and made it right. The upstairs dining gets you a little more privacy, while being downstairs puts you in the night life. Go check it out!

An absolutely gorgeous building. Food was delicious, we had Fish and chips, hamburger and a veggie side, the tartar sauce was outstanding!
Very clean and beautiful loo and the atmosphere was just what you want from a historic British pub. Could not recommend enough!

Lovely little pub located in South Kensington, not far from the station. The food selection was very appealing, it was hard to choose what to order. We ordered the steak ciabatta sandwich, which was very good, however the steak pieces were very large and a little tough. They could have cut the steak slightly smaller to make it easier to eat, however, overall it was still very tasty and I would 100% order again! The wine was also very nice, and such a gorgeous location.
