5 Star Rating We had the champagne afternoon tea which was delicious. The sandwiches scones and desserts. The service was very good and the waitress replaced our jam and cream as needed a refill without us needing to ask. The choice of teas was lovely, would have loved to try them all!

2 Star Rating Went for afternoon tea. Was immediately treated like we were intruding when we entered the hotel even though we asked politely where the afternoon tea room was (we were not dressed crazy or improper and we also had a reservation). The garden was lovely and very pretty, but the service throughout was subpar with no one asking how our meal was nor could we get a refill on tea since we could not find our waiter. The tea itself was very nice and the scones were very good, but the rest was average at best. Considering this is an expensive hotel, I expected it to be more accommodating or at least friendlier.

3 Star Rating Quite a mediocre hotel, especially for the price. I was in a luxury room, but it was quite small and there was no coffee machine and I was told I had to pay 10 pounds if I wanted a coffee machine. During the day there was construction work that made it hard to do any reading or anything in the room. There was no available water except for a single bottle unless you wanted to pay for it at the tiny “bar.” This would be a fine hotel at half the price but it is definitely not a five star hotel.

5 Star Rating It never disappoints! Good choice for tapas! Especially the prawns aioli are insane!! We also tried patatas bravas, pork cheeks, tortilla, that were well prepared and tasty. Good selection of wines! Staff is friendly. There was very intense fish smell in the restaurant, maybe something to work on.

5 Star Rating One of my favorite Spanish spots in London! I've been here several times, and it never disappoints. The gambas al ajillo are always a highlight – juicy, garlicky, and full of flavor. The croquetas are crispy perfection, and the Spanish tortilla hits the spot every time. Also, the chorizo is a must-try – smoky, rich, and pairs wonderfully with the rest of the dishes. Good selection of wines. The cozy atmosphere and friendly service make it a great place to relax and enjoy some authentic tapas. Definitely recommend for anyone craving a taste of Spain in London!

3 Star Rating I stayed here for my 5 days in London for my Honeymoon. We had never been to London before and did research and thought this would be a great choice. The hotel is in a good location, close to the tube for travel but everything else fell short. Our honeymoon was not acknowledged even though we mentioned it, and signed up for the stars rewards where there was supposed to be a fun included promotion for us on this once in a lifetime trip, we also did not receive the discount at the restaurant for the stars and the restaurant food was as bland as humanly possible. I would not include the breakfast here as it’s overpriced and bad, we did not use it everyday and they would not refund us the difference. There is better breakfast in walking distance for a half of the price. There was no view to our room, just a back ally. The bed was comfortable but that’s about as good as it gets. I am super disappointed in this hotel pick, if you go. I would definitely do research and find a hotel much cheaper, as this was absolutely not even worth half the price of our stay, and long as you’re close to a tube you’re completely fine. I am baffled to read this is a 5 star hotel, I give it 3 stars and that’s being generous because everyone was actually very nice. It fell very short of what I wanted an amazing honeymoon stay to be and was definitely not 5 star service.

2 Star Rating I have stayed for few times before in this property prior to Covid and it was always a top class experience. I came back this year and staying for few days. It is an absolute shock how the service level has deteriorated! Nothing can be attributed to a 5 stars English boutique hotel. Clearly the management decided to cut cost on the expense of customer experience. No 24 hours laundry service , no housekeeping after 6pm, limited in room dining menu, inexperienced staff in the night shift and it goes on. I certainly feel extremely disappointed having paid premium rate to get that level of service! The only thing prime about this property now is the location

3 Star Rating Great location, the bus stop and tube station is right in front of the hotel. I would not rate this a 5 star hotel. Rooms were tiny and needed a refresh ( stained carpets, worn furniture). This is a 3 star hotel at best. Service was mediocre. You have to leave your key when you leave the hotel and there was not always a person at the front desk when you needed them.

2 Star Rating I had an appalling experience at this hotel, it is meant to be a five star hotel, I can assure you it is not. It's a low four star at best. It reminds me of the old bed and breakfasts you used to get in the area with a makeover. Was promised a bottle of sparkling wine in the room, it never appeared. The walls were covered in fabric, which had holes and questionable stains. The bathroom was tired, limescaled, and the wooden bath panel was rotting. Breakfast was appalling. Firstly, drinks: they were ordered at the same time as the food. It took over 20 minutes for the food to arrive, when we were asked if we would like a refill of our drinks, would help if the first round arrived! This was after prompting a number of times. The food was style over substance, and overcooked. I asked for brown sauce and fresh items of the overcooked items. Ten minutes later and I was given brown toast instead of the sauce. By now my breakfast was cold, and I had lost any desire I had to eat, and reception were already aware of the issues. I asked for a croissant as a simple replacement, after ten minutes no croissant, so I chased this up also, I was told that the wait staff had forgotten to place the order. I asked them to pass this along to the management, to then be told that they had in fact ran out of croissants and they were being baked. I had a good sit down chat at check out with the manager, Adella, about the issues. And we agreed that she would contact hotels . Com to arrange a refund, but told me it would take up to six weeks. Well it's been six weeks and I have had no refund. The only matter that was resolved as a bottle of prosecco was given to take home. Abolsutely appalling service for a supposed five star hotel. Location wise if you're wanting South Kensington/Albertopolis it's great but don't stay there for that

4 Star Rating Solid food considering the prime location, prompt service. Borscht is pleasantly peppery and served straight from the pot, rabbit more average, current menu didn't have venison dishes so disregard their online menu. Prices are decent (mains for 20-25 pounds), reservations recommended for groups of 4+. Limited toilets, it seemed 1 per gender, too little given the high number of covers.

5 Star Rating We went for a late lunch on Saturday and had the best time. The restaurant is beautiful inside and has a distinct charm, like a place frozen in time. The food was delicious. We had the dumplings and salmon starters, pork and veal meatballs for main and a cheesecake for desert. Absolutely everything was perfect and the dumplings were so good we ordered more! Service was perfect, everyone was very friendly and attentive; topping up wine and water without us having to ask. They even threw in some free vodka shots at the end! Very much recommend to anyone and we’ll certainly be going back!

4 Star Rating A Polish friend suggested this restaurant and we didn’t regret. Great dinner overall. The dumplings as starters are a must, loved them, especially the one with meat and the other with mushrooms. Also the rabbit as main was good. The pork was a bit too small compared to the rabbit portion. Overall happy with the food and service. The waitress kindly offered four shots of cherry vodka.

4 Star Rating A great meal. I'd love to go back and explore the menu thoroughly, but it's a little pricey for what you get. Great service and atmosphere. All 3 types of dumplings were tasty but especially the cabbage and mushroom. Chicken soup was cracking. Veal escalopes cooked a touch more than I would like but with a great sauce, cod was tasty and well cooked but the raw spinach served with it is not particularly exciting. The fish doesn't come with anything else, and I felt both mains could have used another little something on the plate (veg or carbs respectively). The cheese pancake was wonderful and generous (other desserts looked substantial too) and reminiscent of the Topfen that appears in Austrian sweets. Good quality homely food, cooked well. Service was high quality but not aloof and honestly in terms of atmosphere, Daquise is absolutely how a restaurant should be - filled with conversation but not crowded, classy but not austere, and homely without feeling dingy. Thank you for the lovely lunch.

3 Star Rating A sit-down kind of Indian restaurant. It’s a bit expensive. The service is ok. The waiters have proper shirts but seem a bit off. I sat after another group. One of the waiters came to take my order, and I pointed out that the other group was waiting to order before me and offered to go next. I don’t know if he heard me or understood me. But he glanced at the other table briefly, and continue with my order anyway. I don’t know. Something about their manners seem dismissing and disrespectful. They also missed one item in my order. Seeing that it wasn’t listed in the bill, I guess they didn’t hear it to begin with. The food was decent. I wouldn’t say they were the best Indian food experience. But the spinach curry was good. The naan was a bit on the dry and tasteless side. It seemed like more show than substance kind of establishment.

Aside from this, the food was good: the chicken from three various dishes were all flavorful, some a little dry, the naan bread was very good, and the rice was flavorful and warm. The staff was polite and accommodating as well. Not a bad place to go if your in the neighborhood and need a solid meal.

4 Star Rating A nice Italian restaurant near South Kensington station. It’s a lot bigger on the inside than it looks. The service is friendly and efficient. The food is good too. Arancini was slightly under seasoned, but very crunchy and nice. The selection of bread was really good. The pasta with pesto sauce was OK. It was good, but I’d prefer a bit punchier seasoning. But then, I am picky when it comes to pesto. For a proper sit-in restaurant, the price tag is reasonable. I would happily go back and try other dishes.

4 Star Rating Dining on a Friday evening meant there was a lovely atmosphere even though we sat down at 5pm. We ate the arancini and the caprese salad, carbonara and spaghetti bolognaise, and shared the tiramisu. The food was nice overall but the caprese salad was lacking - lots of tomatoes but one small slice of cheese with a few olives on the side, they only grated a small amount of Parmesan on the pasta even though we asked for more, and the arancini did not have the cheesy middle I was expecting as is usually the case. Also, although the staff were attentive, as we arrived at 5pm when they were quiet, we were asked 7 times in 10 minutes of arriving if we were ready to order our food although we repeatedly asked if they could slow down. So this was not a great start to the experience. Would recommend, but book in advance.

4 Star Rating I like the seating area for some tables where you get to sit on tatami like structure. I went around 1:30pm for lunch and it was very busy, and peaks off around 2pm. I ordered Beef Nabe (or AKA Sukiyaki, hotpot like dish), there was also Pork Nabe, waited for half an hour for food to come. The staffs were friendly and helpful. It was my first time having Sukiyaki, the soup base is soy but sweet, plenty of udon noodles, beef and tofu and little bit of enoki mushrooms and fish cakes. I really liked the udon, chewy and smooth texture, tofu was soft, the beef slices were average, you could dip it in the two sauces provided: the Kewpie mayo or spring onion soy sauce. Overall great heartwarming dish for autumn.

5 Star Rating Lovely little pub located in South Kensington, not far from the station. The food selection was very appealing, it was hard to choose what to order. We ordered the steak ciabatta sandwich, which was very good, however the steak pieces were very large and a little tough. They could have cut the steak slightly smaller to make it easier to eat, however, overall it was still very tasty and I would 100% order again! The wine was also very nice, and such a gorgeous location.

But for me, the shining star was the staff : every staff member with whom our group spoke was very kind.
