5 Star Rating Restaurant is consistently good. Quality steak, very friendly yet professional service & portions are excellent. We really appreciated the additional gesture for our anniversary. The Ice cream Sunday was huge and we had to walk it off. Thank you for taking great care of us!

5 Star Rating I visited Goodman Restaurant on Maddox Street yesterday for dinner with my wife and some friends. While enjoying our meal, an unfortunate incident occurred—a lady at the table beside us accidentally knocked over a glass of red wine from our table with her handbag, spilling it all over my wife. She offered a brief apology, but that was it, despite the obvious mess on my wife's clothes. What truly stood out was how the restaurant staff handled the situation. The team immediately stepped in to assist, helping my wife clean her sweater. The manager also came over, genuinely apologizing even though it wasn’t the restaurant’s fault. They thoughtfully offered my wife another glass of wine to replace the one that was spilled (we refused...). Later, the manager returned, again apologizing, and provided their contact information to arrange reimbursement for the cleaning costs of her clothing (we politely declined again...). On top of that, when they bring the bill, they kindly offered a discount on the £100 bottle of wine we had ordered. I was genuinely impressed—not just with the gesture of a discount, but with the level of professionalism and care shown by the staff throughout the evening. I’ve dined at Goodman several times because it’s one of London’s top destinations for a perfectly cooked steak, and this visit reaffirmed why it remains a favorite. The food, as always, was 5-star, but this time, the service truly stole the show. The staff and management went above and beyond to ensure we felt taken care of, turning what could have been a frustrating moment into an example of exceptional customer service. Highly recommend Goodman not just for their incredible steaks but for their outstanding service. Thank you for making a lasting impression once again!

5 Star Rating Wonderful experience we had at the Goodman, Mayfair. The service from Lara was simply awesome, she’s really sweet and attentive. The food was great, and needless to say, the steaks were perfect. Both my partner and I truly enjoyed ourself and thank you Goodman, for the birthday surprise. It was a really sweet gesture!

5 Star Rating Our group of five—four adults and a teen—dined at Goodman Mayfair last night to celebrate a birthday, and while the evening started with a few small hiccups, it ended on a memorable note thanks to the exceptional food and thoughtful service. We had an early dinner reservation at 6:45pm, and upon arrival, the restaurant was relatively quiet, with a handful of diners. However, by the time we left at 9:45pm, it was absolutely buzzing—a fantastic atmosphere for a celebratory evening. We were initially seated at a rectangular table, though I’d hoped for a round table (perfect for chatting and seeing everyone during a birthday celebration). Amani, the manager, explained that the round table was needed for a larger party. While this felt slightly disappointing, it turned out to be a non-issue—Amani later came to our table and graciously moved us when the other party cancelled. It was a small gesture that made a big difference to our evening. Thank you, Amani! Our server, Saffron, introduced “The Cut” – their specials board, showcasing steaks selected daily at their peak. While her explanation was a bit difficult to hear due to the background music, she was attentive and knowledgeable when we asked questions. We ordered fillet steaks for the whole table, along with a selection of sides, wine and cocktails. The food? Outstanding. The steaks were beautifully cooked (the stilton gravy deserves a special mention—it’s heavenly!), and the sides were absolutely mouth-watering. Unfortunately, one steak, ordered medium, arrived slightly undercooked and had to be sent back. While the staff handled it politely and efficiently, it did mean that one member of our group was left waiting while the rest of us tucked in. The wine service was also slightly bumpy—the first choice wasn’t available—but the alternative “orange” white wine we selected turned out to be excellent, so no complaints there. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the food itself, coupled with the wonderful atmosphere as the restaurant filled up. We also loved the quirky touch of the “100 Club”—a cabinet full of knives with regular diners’ names engraved on them. Only 99 more visits to go! To top it off, the birthday celebration was rounded out with a surprise cake and candle, which the restaurant very kindly took off the bill—such a thoughtful gesture. Overall, Goodman Mayfair delivers delicious food with friendly, professional service in a warm and lively setting. Yes, it’s on the pricier side, but it’s worth it for a truly special occasion. A little less pretension and a touch more attentiveness at the start would make this a perfect 10, but by the end of the night, we walked out happy, full, and lighter in the wallet—exactly what you expect from a top steakhouse experience. ;0) Highly recommended.

5 Star Rating I love this department store. So many lovely displays! And Christmastime is all the lovelier sparking tinsel and shiny ornaments a delight although my advice is to take the lift all the way to top floor then make your way down to each floor via the stairs at the back of the store.

From unique boutiques to delightful cafes, every corner offers a special experience. The attention to detail in the architecture and the warm, welcoming vibe make it stand out. 5 Star Rating One of London's finest shops, dating back to the 19th century and built in the Tudor revival style. The building is an attraction in itself, with attractive details imitating a Tudor manor house, and rooms built around a central open space. Liberty is famous for its print fabrics, but also offers a great range of product lines beyond these. Visiting in the pre-Christmas period was a memorable shopping experience, and the range of high quality Christmas gifts and decorations was second to none.

5 Star Rating Ping Pong is a great place to come for gluten free dim sum and more! The menu is very straight forward as to what is gluten free, with a good amount of options. I highly recommend trying a little bit of everything since the portions are sized to where you can do this. The food comes out piping hot and fresh, and is extremely tasty. The place itself can be a little noisy, but worth it for the food!

Service was on point, never a minute there wasn't staff walkong about, clearing plates and offering more food or drinks. Food was awesome, some of the best we've ever had. Sad there was no draught but a large beer followed by a few cocktails soon dulled that negative!! Buzzing atmosphere woth a mix of clients which always allows for some good vibes.

3 Star Rating I came with a group for bottomless brunch. My food, the vegan menu, was decent and well served. Some of the group that had the original menu didn’t enjoy every dish, with almost everyone didn’t eat the chicken truffle gyoza. My biggest issue were the cocktails and service. Since you have to pay extra (42,50 pounds per person) I expected a decent quality cocktail, but it didn’t meet my standards. The waiters were also slow and rather dry. They never came to check up on our table and it almost felt like they were actively avoiding us.

4 Star Rating Came before dinner time so it was nice and quiet. The service was good, and most dishes were fine. Churros were nice and the octopus was cooked well. We also got the seafood paella and the waiter said it was salty (which we thought would be fine) but that was an understatement; it compared to eating the ocean with each bite! Could not finish it.

4 Star Rating Aqua Nueva offers a chic Spanish dining experience with a modern twist. Firstly, the service was exceptional. Despite us mixing up our scheduling—arriving a week early on a bustling Saturday evening—the staff graciously accommodated us without delay. Their professionalism and willingness to explain the menu and each dish added a touch of sophistication to our evening. Secondly, the food presented a mix of highs and lows. The octopus main dish was stellar; I had to hold myself back from licking the plate clean. My wife was looking at me weirdly while I was in throes of passion. Their renditions of patatas bravas and truffle croquettas were also impressive, though I wished for more than the few drops of sauce provided. The duck breast was tasty and not gamey at all but unfortunately became dry halfway through the meal. The pulled pork sliders were disappointing as the pork lacked salt and needed more seasoning, and the buns seemed undercooked or not properly browned. The ambiance is sleek and glamourous, featuring low-lit tables beneath an arched, copper-clad ceiling, creating a sophisticated yet inviting atmosphere for dates, work dinners or pre drinks before a long night out. While the overall experience was positive, the high prices for food that didn't blow my mind make me hesitant to return soon. However, Aqua Nueva would be a perfect venue for professional get togethers or special occasions where ambiance and service are paramount.

Even dishes I wouldn’t normally order, I tried here because I wanted to see what they’d do. Lamb, duck, pork, turbot, crab, prawns, ham, sardines, churros and Catalan crème.

2 Star Rating RECENTLY: Updating my review as we visited again recently and this time the experience was utterly bad. Unfriendly staff, far too loud music that we had to shout to be heard, incredibly slow service - it was an hour before we had food on the table, and terrible food! The waiter tried to convince us that the dangerously salty prawn paella was normal- if you have to warn people before they order a dish, then you need to change the dish not double down that "that's how it's made". The portions were significantly smaller and dishes were either underflavoured or over salted. And despite asking how we wanted our meats cooked, came out with incorrect dishes. We didn't even bother with a second round of drinks or dessert. Utterly bad second experience. It was a real shame because I was particularly excited to revisit, to be let down so colossally. PREVIOUSLY: Such a wonderful experience! The location was ba little difficult to find as Google basically sends you across the street but once I noticed the aqua sign, I came to ask for directions and found the place! Nueva & Kyoto share an entrance. We were welcomed warmly at every step, and shown to our table. The decor was beatiful, the dj was great and the vibe was chilled and classy. Our server Magdalena was lovely and attentive throughout our entire experience. Glasses were never empty- be it water, wine or the delicious cocktails. Our table loved the tapas dining style - we were able to sample so much on the menu. Our faves were the hake, the manchego and the mushroom croquettes (the seafood one was a bit lacklustre), and the bikini sandwich. Apart from the croquettes which came as 6, everything was served in portions for 2. Sadly the seafood paella was sold out, which was a real shame for an early Saturday evening booking, and the lamb was lacking a little something. However the desserts were lovely! I loved the flan, and my guests were won over by the crema Catalana. The churros could have been a little sweeter to counter the dark chocolate sauce but the citrus marmalade was a great touch. We left very happy after taking many photos on the beatiful terrace of course. Thanks to the whole team for a wonderful and beautiful and DELICIOUS evening! We'll be back in the summer!

5 Star Rating There are two restaurants/bars with amazing views on Oxford Street. I went to Aqua Kyoto last time and loved it. This time, I tried the Spanish restaurant next door, Aqua Nueva. The décor is modern and chic with Spanish characteristics. There’s a big bull statue at the entrance, which I think is artistic and very cool. We went for their Brunch Menu with drinks option and I had: Rustic tomato bread,Chorizo iberico, Manchego cheese and Padrón peppers (my favourite!). These are classic tapas, but they tasted really good. We also tried other very tasty tapas also included in the menu: Goat’s cheese marmalade and Iberico ham,Fried cod with tartar sauce and langoustine Gilda and beef skewer with potato spiral. Personally I like seafood and the flavours of those tapas were well-balanced and delicious! The main courses were very impressive. We tried Braised beef short rib with potato gratin and pan-fried salmon with grilled seasonal vegetables Both dishes had a great mix of flavour, and I enjoyed it very much. There is one dessert on that brunch menu which is glazed churros with orange marmalade. I'm not a fan of overly sweet desserts, but the orange marmalade had a slight bitterness that balanced the sweetness perfectly. I really liked it. Service was excellent. The staff were super friendly and helpful. There was a live band playing Spanish and Southern European-style music, which added to the great atmosphere. I’ll definitely come back!

I recently tried their naked burrito, which allows you to customize your meal by choosing your style of rice, beans, meat, and salad. The options were plentiful, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. While you can add extra toppings for an additional cost, the large bowl I had was already quite filling and reasonably priced at £9. 5 Star Rating Wonderful restaurant in a quiet corner of Oxford Circus. Friendly atmosphere, delicious Italian food, and excellent service. Annamaria ensured we were well looked after, despite arriving at peak times for Sunday lunch. Highly recommended for value, quality, and service. Thanks for a great time!

5 Star Rating Good Breakfast and Good Pasta In busy London, there are a lot of cafes that serve pastries and coffee. All of them are small without toilets. The customers must be living or working nearby. Not a big fan of cold pastries anyway. Finally found Ponti's that serves hot food. With toilets. Nice, cosy and clean environment. Different to most of the London's restaurants, the tables are not too close to each other. What a good place to take a break. Friendly staff. Delicious breakfast. Excellent pasta. I cannot ask more.

4 Star Rating Second time we've been here. It's a lovely place to go to. Our waiter (Ifti) was a great guy, very attentive. Only criticisms is that my plate & my Calzone should have been warmer - both were on the cool side. Still, nice tasting food & lovely atmosphere.

4 Star Rating We were underwhelmed with our afternoon of tea and cakes but the staff were so attentive that I've boosted what would have been a lower rating. We started with a glass of fizz which was surprisingly crisp and refreshing. Our initial round of espressos were lukewarm but our friendly server made adjustments and they were perfect for the rest of our visit. Desserts were almost all disappointing, which was a let down after enjoying such fresh, tasty sandwiches. The macarons however, were excellent. A pleasant experience though I'm not sure that we will return.

5 Star Rating Absolutely loved our experience of the area. Tried to hire a scooter each but it deemed to difficult to achieve. None the less. Visually it's a real treat. Being tall gives a huge advantage

5 Star Rating I don't know what they do to beef, but it is the bomb. It made me cry tears of joy. I'm not joking. I have visited this place 4 times and never been disappointed. The service is exceptional - they even always remember which is my favourite wine The chips and side dishes are also really good - I particularly like the onion & tomato salad with fresh herbs. They could improve their limited beer selection...

4 Star Rating Great eclectic mix of shops and you'll most probably find a new brand that you like there. Food stalls are also scattered around for the tired shopper.
