This place brings to mind Tina Turner with her anthem 'Simply the Best.' It’s an outstanding restaurant with amazing food, impeccable service, and a fantastic location—truly faultless. The staff are incredibly welcoming and have great suggestions, showcasing their extensive knowledge. The atmosphere and ambiance are something you have to experience for yourself. And let's not forget the breathtaking view! All of this comes at a reasonable price. Going back to Ms. Turner, it's definitely, 'better than all the rest.'

Great view and polite staff/good service.
The Christmas decorations were also very nice!
The food though was average. The steak was kinda rare than medium rare that I ordered, and it was quite cold.

We’ve celebrated my mom’s birthday here. It is very cozy and the staff was very kind and got us seated even without a booking.
We enjoyed tasty truffle fries and cocktails with a great view on Saint Paul’s for lunch. And even when we’re not from the area ourselves we enjoyed escaping tourism for a while. Thanks for having us !

I took my partner here last night for his birthday dinner. We had a very warm welcome from the staff and were taken to our Al fresco table over looking the magnificent St Paul's cathedral. It had a cosy feel and great music from the DJ. The wait staff we had were a little quiet but friendly. After a slight confusion on prices of the set menu (online is says from £29 for 2 courses, but its actually £46 for 2 courses unless you specifically found and chose the other option) so make sure you're aware of what booking you make. The service was quick, the food was good although mu steak wasn't rested long enough and I had a salad drenched in blood. The Prosecco was lovely (free glass with meal) the cocktail presentation was wonderful with the St Paul's image on it but the flavours let it down.
Spectacular views of St Paul's and great photo ops.
Dishes were served quickly, with a friendly smile.
I think the drinks are somewhat over priced for what is being offered.
However all in all we had a lovely night and I'd probably go back or take visitors there for a special occasion..

Want to have Chinese style lunch at this area, found this dim sum restaurant which nearby the cathedral! But the food not so nice and portion pretty small, dumpling also normal only! Personally will not recommend.

Service was quick and attentive. Food was good but I cannot comment on authenticity.
Good experience and will visit again.

My colleagues and I recently attended our Christmas meal at this establishment, and I was struck by its cool, eclectic vibe. The low lighting created a cozy ambiance, though it prompted me to use my cane. The decor was an intriguing blend of traditional Asian elements and modern touches, and there was even a robot serving customers, which added a unique and futuristic twist to the experience.
For my meal, I ordered the Honey Chilli Chicken rice bowl and the pork bao buns. The Honey Chilli Chicken was delicious, but I found it leaned more towards sweetness than spiciness. A touch more heat would have elevated the dish to another level. In contrast, the pork bao buns were absolutely delightful—precisely what I had hoped for in both flavor and texture.
The service was impressively quick and efficient, aided by the use of paper menus for ordering. Prices were reasonable, especially considering the location near St. Paul’s Cathedral.
I would gladly return, this time with my wife, as I’m eager to try their chicken and black truffle gyozas, which, unfortunately, were unavailable during our visit. Overall, it was a memorable dining experience that I look forward to revisiting.

Excellent service! Food is always delicious, it's a shame some of the older items have been taken off the menu. Definitely recommend the griddled beef gyoza and chicken xiao long bao.

Let's just start with the punchline: I highly recommend this place. We were just casually walking around enjoying the after work pub environment that tends to spill out onto the streets. After grabbing a beer, we decided to walk around and see what other pubs and restaurants were in the area. We tend to enjoy the "small plate" meals during our work trips to London because it gives us a chance to enjoy a variety of foods. Ping Pong Bow did not disappoint. We selected several items, and they came out in sequence, allowing us to enjoy a few things at a time with the table not being overrun with dishes. Everything we selected was great, and we were only disappointed because we were full and have to wait to come back to try more items. This place is best enjoyed with a small group, which will just increase the variety of options you can try.

I recently had dinner here with a few colleagues, and while the food was a bit of a mixed experience, the service left much to be desired. Our waitress seemed uninterested and quite grumpy, which put a damper on the overall atmosphere. That being said, the rest of the experience was fine.
I personally enjoyed the scallop and pasta dishes I ordered—both were delicious and well-prepared. However, my colleagues weren’t as lucky. They found their meals underwhelming and the portions were so large that it became more of a chore to finish than an enjoyable meal. So, while my dishes hit the mark, the inconsistency in both service and food quality left some room for improvement.

Authentic Italian food in London, best fried zucchini I can remember, recommend linguine and clams. Great Italian restaurants always have grappa…this place does.

Second outdoor dining experience since lockdown easing. So grateful to be able to drink a pint of peroni with some friends. The food is delicious and service excellent, especially with one of the managers who was super friendly. Service speed is also pretty good. Location is in the alley so not ideal but works, sadly it was quite cold as not enough heaters to go round. Also, we asked for a beer from two different waiters for a friend, and although the 5th beer ever came we were charged. Nevertheless, the super friendly manager came to the rescue. A three course with a beer, and a bottle of malbec between 4 came to almost £60, definitely not cheap but probably reasonable with the alcohol. (PS sorry for the bad looking second photo, was too hungry and forgot to take the photo first)

Authentic Italian food tucked away in an atmospheric alleyway in the centre of the city. Yesterday at lunch time this osteria served a daily special menu which is incredibly good value. Some of the reviewers who have taken stars off for a large portion should understand that in Italy you would share dishes. However, even so the daily menu was very generous. The linguine alla vongole, tomato veloute and prawn risotto were all delicious. The wine menu is short but good. The tiramisu was very creamy and thiugh large, difficult not to finish. Staff were friendly and efficient.

Great food, although the fries are a letdown. If you're doing Wagyu and pair them with fries, they would need to be better than what you get in McDonald's.
The staff were amazing. Would definitely come back.

We recently enjoyed the express lunch, which offered excellent value for money. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. The food was delicious, and as a special touch for my sister’s birthday, the server acknowledged our request and surprised us with homemade chocolate truffles. To top it off, the server kindly arranged for us to access the roof garden for pictures, making the celebration even more memorable. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!

Friends and I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. It’s a hidden gem in the city. The views from the rooftop are spectacular. The areas are well maintained and many photo opportunities for memories.
The staff were wonderful and catered to our every need above and beyond they were led by head waiter Lenny who was fantastic in his service.
Lenny was interested in his guests and gave pleasant conversation which we were delighted by and just hearing how much of the world he had seen was a great pleasure adding to the delight of the dining experience in such a lovely atmosphere.
The rooftop views are spectacular and time was still spent taking photo opportunities to save happy memories.
We will definitely go back there again and we will have lunch and stay till it closes. Drinks were perfect and selections plentiful. 10/10 all day long.
Well done team.

Having been invited to Sunday Lunch, I was as impressed with the staff as well as with the menu and the location. The 3 course Sunday Lunch option is more than fairly priced for the excellent food you get. All the staff was very friendly and the location is great. Can only highly recommend this restaurant!

This is the best experience in London. I went to some fancy restaurants but I wasn’t happy with the service and food. This establishment has everything on a high level. The food, the wine selection and the service were excellent.
I had reservation for a lunch but now I am going to be back for dinner because I want to try more of their food. The place is located on the roof top so you have to find an elevator. Just use google map and it will take you to the lift.

The Golden Fleece is a good city pub. Large ground floor area with another large area downstairs. Decent beers on tap. Visited on a Saturday so quite quiet like most of the actual city on a weekend. Suspect this place gets very busy on week nights. Nice pub. Recommended.

Having first visiting the Golden Fleece when meeting some friends in the city, it has become a regular haunt for our catch ups.
It's a beautiful , traditional pub, with a really good lay out, great atmosphere, with the bar located in the middle, and so it never feels empty but also, with plenty of space never feels crowded.
The bar staff are always friendly and welcoming, they have a great selection of beers, and if your peckish, they have a great kitchen, and I highly recommend the warm scotch egg.

I have been to this pub many times for work lunches and for drinks after work. The food is always delicious and there is a great selection of beers and wines. The service is prompt and friendly and this is one of my favourite pubs in the City.
Amy Johns - 3 weeks ago
My wife, mother, sister and I stumbled upon the Fleece looking for refreshment after a walking tour of Roman London. The pub is a lovely old traditional pub with plenty of seating - not many London city pubs have as much. We sat up behind the bar for some table service lunch. Even for a weekday lunch time we we able to get seated and were served quickly.
The food was great. Every one of us enjoyed our meal and ale. Proper good old English pub far like fish n chips, sausage roll, scotch egg, steak pie. And a dizzying array of drinks available on the menu.
As you enter the pub you see the bar in the center of the room with wood panelling all over the place. It's a very typical old London pub vibe, very welcoming. What is less typical of my memory of London pubs is the quality of the food. They've sure come a long way since I as last back in old Blighty. Everywhere we ate was top notch, the Golden Fleece included.
If you are in the City on business or visiting an attraction like the Amphitheatre or Mithraeum, I definitely recommend the Golden Fleece for a pit stop.

A very nice place to visit on a quiet weekend evening.
During the week this place is busy, but weekends are super chill 👍🏼
Nice design, friendly staff and good food. This time round my wife and I decided to share a lobster and we were pleased with our choice.
A starter and a large lobster to share + two glasses of 🍷 + a cheesecake cost us just over £100. Not cheap by any means, but 🦞 is not something we order often.
Seems a solid choice if you are in the area and price is not your main concern 👍🏼

I can't praise this restaurant enough! Friendly, welcoming, super cool! Went for dinner yesterday for my birthday after climbing to the top of St Paul's! I had never had Lobster before, I was very keen to try it, and this was the best place to do just that! We had the set menu with the upgraded mains, I had the whole lobster meal, my better half had half lobster & burger meal, lobster croquettes to start and the moose and sticky Toffee
pud for desert, some oysters to celebrate my birthday and drinks. Tone was our waiter, we could not have had a better atmosphere, better service - Tone was simply the best! The food - WOW - I don't know what else to say, the taste, portions, presentation, service was just amazing from start to finish, my birthday dinner was an amazing experience, i would recommend this restaurant with the highest regard, can't wait to return and honestly can't find fault with anything and I'm very hard to please! Huge thanks to Tone, best waiter!
Thanks guys, my birthday dinner was unreal! 🙂

Disappointed with the same menu’s, nothing special for Christmas or New Years no new menu for the Festive Holidays?!
The same atmosphere nothing Christmasy no decorations and nothing for New Years celebrations 😕absolutely boring place for the holidays and businesses as usual during the week?!
The food is good quality but the portions and the burger size are getting smaller 🤨 basic ketchup may mustard in very small dishes , lobsters also are becoming the same size as in Lidl 😁
Professional service but the staff is king of snobbish not friendly and not smiling 😐
No corked wine by the glass anymore despite the new prices and no organic wine available anymore?!
It use to be good value for money for the quality food but not anymore with this portions 👎
The prices the portions are

Had a great experience here. My first visit so ordered the half lobster/smashed burger combo. The smashed burger, salad and fries were delicious 😋 The half lobster was so small that it wasn't worth the faff to crack the claw and get the small piece of meat from the shell. Next time I'll stick with the smashed burger and fries. Great service from our server.

Came here for lunch with my husband and two small children (2 under 2) and the staff could not have been more helpful or accommodating. I tried a wine that I was not keen on and the sommelier went out of her way to bring me two other wines which she thought I would like after asking my taste. Food was lovely as always. Will be returning.

South African inspired menu, filling and leftovers can be wrapped in foil to bring home. I had the burger, cheese and bacon were extra. Tasty, but bacon a bit overcooked for my liking.
Drinks were good and it's a nice quiet location (north bank of Thames, close to Millennium Bridge).

I recently visited Thai Square Mansion House for dinner and had an excellent experience. The food was of exceptional quality and absolutely delicious. While the prices may seem a bit high, I believe that’s expected given its prime location. What really stood out was the service – Ratchel, who attended to us, was incredibly efficient and provided excellent customer care. Overall, a wonderful dining experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for top-notch Thai food in a great location!

We ordered the Drunken Noodles and they were very tasty and nicely spicy. However the noodles were broken into small pieces (difficult to pick up with chopsticks) and the beef was tough.
The green curry was delicious and deserved its 2 chili rating. It was pricey, but atmosphere was nice. $82.60 US for those meals, including two drinks.
