This review is for their afternoon tea.
I attended their special Halloween Afternoon Tea in October last year (sorry, forgot to review at the time), and was very impressed.
The setting was lovely, a quiet and plushy comfortable area off the lobby. The staff were great - very welcoming and really looked after us.
And the food? Amazing. Their pastry chef is very creative and talented!
We both really enjoyed a delightful and memorable afternoon, and were recently talking about how much we wanted to go back.

The service was beyond my expectations I am so amazed of the services and the hospitality. All my inquiries and requests were immediately answered. Rooms are super cleaned. All is amazing about this hotel except the size of the room was too small even for solo traveller i would recommend to book an executive room or the suite. Location is definitely perfect.

We had booked an afternoon tea for 3 adults and 1 baby. The ladies at the service were very polite and helpful and the location of the hotel is amazing. However, the hotel offered no treat for our baby or any refill of sandwiches despite our request. We have tried afternoon tea in pretty much most of the hotels in London and this is the first time that they did not offer a refill. We are also not sure why the afternoon tea area is squeezed at the back of the reception instead of the first floor which offers amazing views over the park. Service was quite slow and the price very expensive for the limited food. We might come back for the location, but not for the tea.

Excellent hotel, perfect location, nice atmosphere, room is little smallish but acceptable .
service is good but it could be better, you get to wait a long time until someone attends to your call.
Worst part is the food, in room dining and breakfast buffet have very limited options, and food was tasteless.

The Royal Lancaster London is undoubtedly one of the finest hotels in London, offering an exceptional experience from the moment you step through the door. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a warm and gracious welcome by Mr. Amer Al Kawadri, whose hospitality and friendly demeanor made us feel instantly at home. His attention to detail and genuine care for guests truly set the tone for our stay.
The room was impeccably clean and well-maintained, with housekeeping ensuring it was refreshed daily, which added to our comfort. The hotel's dining experience was another highlight—both the food and service were outstanding, and breakfast each morning was a delightful spread of fresh, flavorful options that catered to a variety of tastes.
The overall ambiance of the Royal Lancaster London is elegant and inviting, making it the perfect retreat in the heart of the city. Whether you're visiting for business or leisure, the level of service, cleanliness, and attention to detail make this hotel a standout choice. I highly recommend it for anyone seeking a luxurious and memorable stay in London.

**Review of Roseate House London**
The **Roseate House London** is a true oasis of elegance and comfort in the heart of the city. The hotel stands out for its welcoming atmosphere and extremely kind and professional staff. A special thanks goes to **Oleh**, who made our stay even more pleasant with his helpfulness and friendliness.
The property is well-maintained and equipped with all the comforts you would expect from a hotel of this caliber.
However, during our stay, we noticed a few minor inconveniences: unfortunately, there were some noises coming from the upper floor that slightly disturbed our relaxation. Another aspect that could be improved is the decor, particularly the **carpets**, which I would personally replace to give the rooms a more modern and fresh look.
Despite these small details, our stay was overall very enjoyable, and I would recommend the Roseate House to anyone looking for a luxury experience in a refined setting.
Ciro Cortese - 2 months ago
Great location and lovely staff but not good value for money. Our room was spacious and the bed was comfortable but all of the amenities were dated and in disrepair. Carpets were worn and furniture was threadbare and stained. Some of the knobs were coming off of the cupboards. The bath had a poor quality shower head that didn't spray evenly. At 1/3 of the cost this would have been OK but unacceptable with the rates they charge.
Overall, very disappointing. I am not sure how this property merits a 5 star rating.

4 stars feels a little light but I have always felt that 5 has to be reserved for times when every single thing is perfect and there were free puppies and rainbows.
It's in a great location and everything is neat and tidy. A nice place to come back to after tromping around London all day. We would definitely stay there again.
The front desk was extremely helpful, and the bellhop (Oleh I think he was called?) was really nice. The bartenders were incredibly kind but at times seemed stretched too thin. Wait times for drinks were a tad longer than they should have been.
The rooms were well-appointed and clean. This is super minor but it's a pet peeve of mine when hotels offer coffee pods: figure out a way to label them OR just leave the original packaging. The pods are often unmarked and it's nice to know if you're getting decaf or regular.
The plumbing fixtures are really nice and I liked that they were older/solid, but they need a tune-up. As does some of the bathroom caulking.
But again: GREAT place and very good value. I will be recommending Roseate House to friends and family.

We recently had an amazing stay at Roseate House London. The entire experience was exceptional, thanks to the incredibly courteous staff. A special shout out to the chef, the housekeeping team, and Daria at the front desk, who all went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. Do ask for Lesya at the restaurant for her amazing food recommendations and her services. She is the best.
The location is fantastic, right next to Hyde Park, providing a perfect spot for leisurely walks. The nearby train stations made it very convenient to explore the rest of London. Overall, a highly recommended place to stay for both its prime location and outstanding service.

We had an unexpected long weekend so thought we would have a night away in London.
The room initially looked nice, but on closer inspection there were someone else’s hairs stuck to the wall in the shower, the bed was very soft, and felt quite 'used'.
The breakfast in the morning was awful. I had eggs benedict - one egg was hard boiled (not poached as it should have been) the other poached egg was not cooked and still had clear (egg white) running in it. The muffin was hardly toasted, and the whole breakfast was cold.
Overall the staff were brilliant, but I didn't feel this hotel was worthy of it's 5* status.

Went for dinner there with my wife. Waiters were very professional and welcoming, food was great and the atmosphere was good, however I do believe they can change something to make it better. It seems very open instead of cozy. Nonetheless I recommend you stop by for a meal.

One of the better chain restaurants in my opinion. The Nduja and cheese dough balls are delicious. I also love the grande lasange. I have put 4 stars as the prices are a bit extortionate. The lasange is £19.50 which for a chain restaurant is very expensive.

Excellent service, lovely atmosphere and great food! I came here with my girlfriend who is coeliac and the staff had excellent knowledge of her Gluten intolerance. My food was great and the gluten alternatives looked just as great.
Shoutout to our waiter Laszlo who went the extra mile. First restaurant review I’ve ever left because this place was a 10/10 - couldn’t recommend it enough.

The house lemonades are a must, especially the raspberry lemonade. Everything tasted amazing and was well done, definitely my favorite Italian chain in UK so far

Had dinner here yesterday! They were awesome at accommodating our table request and we had quick service. The food was pretty good but the pomodoro sauce was a little bland. A little odd that there wasn't salt/pepper on the table, but it was still delicious without. Highlight of the meal was the dessert! The blood orange and chocolate tart was super delicious and came with raspberry sorbet. The salted caramel gelato sundae was also delicious.

The restaurant, located inside the Lancaster Hotel in an upscale area of London, offered the perfect setting for a business meeting with its excellent service and atmosphere. The food was decent, but the drinks were outstanding.

This is a sophisticated Glatt Kosher restaurant that stands out as a rare gem in the heart of central London, distinguishing itself from the offerings in the North. The impeccable combination of exquisite food, top-notch quality, and attentive service effortlessly hits all the right marks, creating a memorable dining experience. Moreover, the availability of good-quality Kosher wine makes it an exceptional and satisfying experience.

Incredible place, that I imagine for most of us, would seldom be a treat!
Amazing front of house, very helpful with any needs and suggestions for meals and what might compliment it. We ended up chatting to our waiter after the meal as she was so engaging.
Food was amazing as you would expect for the price. Melding jewish cuisine with fine dining in a way that you couldn't tell of any limitations.
I was also surprised by how filling the food was, given connotations as to portion sizes for nicer restaurants in general.
I had the chicken soup which had an amazing balance of flavours, as well as the duck in orange sauce, which was so delicate but packed so much taste.
My favourite was the dessert, which was an Eton mess, generally no idea how they made it as good as it was, with the meringue having an unreal chewy texture and the overall dish feeling refreshing after the meal.
If you can afford to go or as a celebration I could not recommend Tony Page any higher.

When we arrived, only a few tables were occupied. Our host assisted with a great table location and presented today's menu. Previously, we reviewed the menu online and discovered that one of our choicrs was being featured. Our drinks were on the table before we could order, and our salads followed quickly thereafter. The kitchen must be running quickly upon finishing our salads. The main course appeared. Impressive zero wait time between. After dinner, the cleanup was prompt, and the desert menu was presented. Yes, cheese cake with coffee put the finishing touch on a perfect evening. Now, as leaving the restaurant, there wasn't a free table, inside or out, everyone was being treated to exceptional World Class Customer Service.

We went there twice and enjoyed ourselves both times. Staff is lovely. Portion sizes are big, so one won’t leave hungry. Food is really good

It's a lovely little restaurant just off Bayswater Road. Now run by the 4th generation of the same family. They continue to offer genuine Italian food.
The Scalope Escalope that I chose as a main was served with spaghetti and tomato sauce - all cooked to perfection and perfectly balanced portions.
As I write this, I can taste the subtle taste of Italy. My wife has the same experience. She enjoyed her Spaghetti All'Arrabbiati followed by Tiramisu.
The restaurant is of a size that allows privacy and sufficient space. It also ensures that the kitchen and servers can deliver reasonable service.
If you want a relaxing dinner, then this is ideal. Equally, if you want to enjoy a party experience, nobody enjoys a family party than the Italians.
If you are ever in London, put this restaurant on your list. You are assured of an enjoyable experience and spending a little less.
If you enjoy my independent reviews, read my other reviews.

Excellent dinner. Thank you Giancarlo and staff.
We booked the dinner through The Fork app and sent a message earlier in the day about our kids, allergies to eggs and nuts. Giancarlo responded via email to let us know what pastors and pizza did not have eggs. We were able to order, spaghetti, rigatoni, and any pizza. We really appreciated the early notice.
We each ordered a pasta or a pizza, and also split lamb chops at the table. Everything was yummy.
The kids ordered the spaghetti all'Amatriciana, Rigatoni alla Genovese, and the Diavola pizza. They all finished their healthy sized portions (especially the pizza) and joked with the wait staff about the amount of Parmesan that our youngest had on his pasta.
My wife had the Gnocchi con Nduja e Salsicca (which was so good! And she didn’t finish and we brought some home) and I had the Margherita pizza with some of the Lamb Chops. The pizza was a little more doughy than we thought it would be, but it was unique and so flavourful! My eldest som even had a bite. The Lamb Chops smelled and tasted amazing, just the perfect amount of char grill on it.
All the staff were friendly. The waitress working the desserts was prepping them right beside our table. That convinced us to get three desserts to share. We had the Gelati, the Belgium Apple Flan, and the After Dinner Mint. Our youngest licked the Mint dessert clean, loved it. The wafers in the Gelati may have had eggs so the allergy free folks in our group ate them. Everything was scrumptious.
Great spot, great ambience, and really friendly staff. we reserved our table through The Fork to get extra discount as well. This place was steady, and it looked like there were a number of locals who frequent the spot. That doesn’t surprise him because everything but the spirits was just excellent. Thank you so much to the staff for a wonderful night.

One of the best Thai restaurants in London, could not recommend more!
The staff are incredibly talented, being polite, efficient and friendly, and the venue is simply fantastic, with a suiting atmosphere and attention paid to the minute detail, already with the hotel being in the Royal Lancaster Hotel, one can assume that the aesthetics will match the overall aesthetic of the hotel, but it had its own personality.
We ordered a prawn pad thai, a classic which was just great, the Chicken and aubergine green curry, which was the perfect level of spicy and creamy and coconut ice cream to balance it, which was the perfect level of sweet, and served in a coconut shell.
Would recommend!

Me and my daughter were lucky 🍀. We got a table by the window overlooking Hyde Park 🙌. The journey started therefore very well. A bit classic as atmosphere and this the only reason why I could not give the full pack of 5 stars 🌟. That said the food is simply excellent with a very good quality price ratio! The staff, kind, attentive and efficient. Good call if around.

This is the best Thai food I’ve ever had. We found this place through Google and when we arrived and noticed it was in a hotel, we were skeptical… But walking into Nipa transported me to Thailand. The decorations and big windows overlooking the Park are just lovely. The service and waiting staff was impeccable. I wish I was able to remember our server’s name, because she was so amazing. All of the staff were so accommodating and kind, and even made food preparations special for my mother who is extremely averse to coriander — and they did it happily! And finally, THE FOOD. They started us out with a complementary fried mushroom with sweet chili sauce. Amazing way to start! We tried all of our normal go-to Thai dishes as a true test — some form of rice wrap, chicken satay, and green curry chicken — as well as their Koong Pao King Prawn special. This food was truly extraordinary. So delicious and flavorful, yet so simply executed. You can tell they take their cuisine very seriously. I have no hesitation saying that this is the best Thai food I’ve ever eaten. I cannot wait to come back for takeaway and dinner many, many, MANY more times! :)

Tukdin was the culinary highlight of my recent trip to London. Malaysian laksa curry is a dish I seek out and theirs is Malaysian good, which is extremely difficult to find in many other cities, even Washington, DC, from my experience. The Laksa curry featured fresh and delicious seafood like large mussels, making it somewhat Malaysian and British fusion.
Beef rendang is another favorite Malaysian dish, and I’d love to return someday to try Tukdin’s take.
One thing to note is that the laksa curry is extremely spicy and during my lunchtime visit I didn’t see British diners. If you don’t enjoy very spicy food, let the staff know and they can probably direct you to a dish that suits your palate.

For a Malaysian this place is a home away from home, get hold of your Malaysian food cravings here. It obviously isn’t 💯 % like in Malaysia but it’s close enough. We tried the satay goreng, ayam masak merah, grilled fish, oxtail soup and mixed veggies. I’d say the winner was the grilled fish. Would recommend this place any day of the week.

Small, popular family owned restaurant, serving authentic Indonesian food.
Really delicious, freshly made, served with a smile. Chilled ambience although usually full. Went there several times with friends & the food was consistently good. Tasty medium to spicy curries & lovely rice dishes. Serves halal meat as well.

I remember popping over after a little trip away, so was keen on some authentic Malay food.
Now bearing in mind, I’ve been there and know what the cuisine should taste like and is capable of delivering.
The place had a funky smell to it and the food was quite disappointed - lacked flavours and freshness, and the icing of pain was that it was super pricey for the portions/quality provided. It was microscopic for my appetite.
The staff were kind and friendly, but it’s really not an appealing spot that is inviting or has a welcoming feel. As for the food itself, I’ve made better at home. 4/10.

I was helped over dinner by a lovely gentleman with gray hair. The lamb achari was really good, with a heat and kick without being overwhelming. I had never seen it at other Indian restaurants so it was a great new experience. The vegetable samosa was well stuffed with a fluffy inside and crispy outside. The weather was great for dining outside and service was attentive without being pushy.

Overall good experience, I am not sure why people are complaining about staff, we haven’t faced any challenge, in fact found staff very courteous and supportive. Food quality was good, enjoyed the lamb kebabs and spinach. Also butter chicken was refreshing and tasteful. Cost wise it was ok, because of its location to Paddington station.

The service and food was amazing! Very friendly staff; the food came out quickly and tasted delicious. Plenty of different options and worth the money. Would definitely eat here again and I highly recommend. We had: prawn and lamb biriani, chicken korma, chicken jalfrazi, cheese naan and garlic naan - all were very nice!

The food was amazing like I extremely enjoyed it, but the rest was debatable… the service was interesting, the waiter didn’t smile at all and kept telling us to get the extra rice even though we kindly refused and was unhappy when we said no. I understand recommendations buts insisting this much was strange. Then when we got the bill we were unpleasantly surprised by the price, as we checked later, we ordered £87 worth of food and we got charged £100! When we asked for the itemised bill, they just gave us the receipt without the itemised bill. When we asked again, they refused.
I do not recommend and I would not come again

I am a regular visitor of their Hounslow branch, so I can make a very good comparison. This place is very centrally located near Paddington station but is much smaller than the Hounslow branch. It would be may be one fifth by size. Food is okay but not as good as compared to the Hounslow branch. May be because the chefs are different, that's why there is that difference. But the overall food was good as well. Though the preparation was totally different from Hiunslow but I can't call it bad. The place is very small and has a retro effect. The service was okay but could have been better. It is very popular among the locals, as when I was there the restaurant was totally full and the manager had to return 5-6 customers for non availability of table. Overall, it didn't disappoint me.
