Exceptional Stay at the Royal Lancaster London!
We can't say enough great things about this hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly polite, helpful, and accommodating, making us feel truly welcome. The rooms were beautifully designed, clean, and comfortable—just what we were looking for.
One of the highlights of our stay was enjoying a drink at the hotel bar. The ambience was warm and inviting, creating the perfect setting to unwind.
The location is another huge plus! Just a few minutes’ walk to the tube, the hotel is conveniently situated yet tucked away in a quieter area, allowing for a peaceful retreat from the bustle of the city. It’s also within walking distance to fantastic restaurants and charming pubs.
We had a wonderful experience and are already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend the Royal Lancaster London!

A Welcoming Oasis Near Paddington & Lancaster Stations
Our recent evening check-in at this hotel proved to be an exceptionally pleasant experience. Situated conveniently near both Lancaster and Paddington stations, the location is ideal for travelers. From the moment we stepped into the beautifully decorated and welcoming lobby, we felt at ease.
A special mention must go to Ricky, the receptionist, who went above and beyond to secure us a reservation at the hotel's Thai restaurant, Nipa. This turned out to be a culinary highlight of our stay. Kaseam's expert guidance through the diverse menu made our dining experience truly memorable; each dish was a burst of flavour. Nipa is undoubtedly a must-visit for anyone seeking authentic and delicious Thai cuisine in London.
Our room, boasting an excellent park view, provided a serene backdrop to our stay. Waking up to the sunrise over the park was a delightful experience. The breakfast, served in the same floor as Nipai, was a well-managed buffet with attentive staff who ensured everything was constantly replenished. Their eye for detail was evident.
Check-out was seamless, and Rossella's thoughtful recommendations for Hyde Park attractions were greatly appreciated, allowing us to make the most of our remaining time.
Overall, the hotel's warm and friendly atmosphere, coupled with its excellent facilities and exceptional staff, made us feel right at home. We will definitely be returning. Highly recommended!

We had a mixed experience during our stay at this hotel. Starting with the positives, the cleanliness of the room and the entire property was excellent. It was clear that the housekeeping staff took great care to maintain high standards, which we really appreciated.
However, there were some notable downsides. The room was extremely small, leaving very little space to move around or store our belongings comfortably. We had specifically requested two separate beds, but unfortunately, the beds were positioned so close together that it barely made any difference—they felt more like one large bed. This was disappointing and not what we had expected.
The staff, on the other hand, were very friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. They seemed genuinely eager to assist us, which created a pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, despite their kindness, they were not always able to resolve some of our issues or provide the assistance we needed in certain situations.
Overall, while there were some positive aspects, such as the cleanliness and the friendliness of the staff, the room size and bed arrangement, along with the limited effectiveness of the support we received, left us feeling that our stay fell short of expectations. With a few improvements, this hotel could offer a much better experience.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London, and it was truly a first-class experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with exceptional service from the team. Every detail was taken care of with such attention and care, making me feel completely pampered throughout my stay.
The room itself was a haven of comfort, with the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in and a shower that was nothing short of luxurious. The water pressure was perfect, and the temperature was always just right, offering the perfect start or end to my day.
The views over the city were absolutely breathtaking. Whether it was day or night, looking out over London’s skyline was an unforgettable experience.
Overall, my stay at the Royal Lancaster Hotel was nothing short of perfect. The combination of exceptional service, luxurious amenities, and stunning views makes it a standout choice for anyone visiting London. Highly recommend!

Fantastic hotel! I am a little invested with nice hotels and this one was amazing.
Firstly, it’s amazing for the value. If I paid £300 a night I would have been disappointed, but for £150 it was outstanding value. I was surprised at every step by how good it was for the price.
The reception is smart with a welcoming doorman and very lovely staff. We managed to get a check in 3hrs early which was much appreciated. The room was large and well appointed with a huge, comfortable bed. We had room service for dinner which was delicious. Even the check out time of 1200 was generous. Some of the furniture had some chips and marks etc, but for the price this was totally fine when you account for how everything else was so spot on. All in all a wonderful experience and located a few steps from Paddington Station.

Very well located boutique hotel, next to Hyde Parc, on the less busy side, so very calm to relax after a day full of impressions. Underground just 3 min away. The hotel is nicely decorated, the breakfast excellent, it is served, so no buffet, but plenty of choice!
We had 2 rooms for our family, both nice and good size. Bathroom with all commodities. And last but not least the service is outstanding, at the reception, the restaurant, the manager. The whole team is well trained and has always a smile and a solution, this made our Christmas stay really special. Thank you!!!

Great boutique hotel conveniently located between Paddington and Hyde Park on a quiet street. Spotlessly clean. Wonderful, attentive staff. Only dined for breakfast, but it was excellent. 5 minute walk to Paddington, so great stop between trains and flights. We will absolutely return.

Great location and lovely staff but not good value for money. Our room was spacious and the bed was comfortable but all of the amenities were dated and in disrepair. Carpets were worn and furniture was threadbare and stained. Some of the knobs were coming off of the cupboards. The bath had a poor quality shower head that didn't spray evenly. At 1/3 of the cost this would have been OK but unacceptable with the rates they charge.
Overall, very disappointing. I am not sure how this property merits a 5 star rating.

We enjoyed afternoon tea here, service was a bit unprofessional for a 5 star hotel, it was still fine, but people working had little experience. The afternoon tea was not very special in our opinion, but was still good. Just the price quality of afternoon tea is overrated in entire London area.

Went out for a nice dinner with the girls and we were greeted with the loveliest service. The food came very quickly and was delicious. We got some drinks on the house which was really nice. Perfect place for a fun night out!
Thank you so much Laszlo for making sure we had a good night!

Roomy place with a great atmosphere. Only negative thing is the ambience. It can get noisy. There is also a fan in the roof that makes a lot of sound.
Food was served fast and the menu was very kid friendly. Good menu and great selection for the season.

Came here on a Saturday lunch time and was promptly greeted and seated. It wasn’t busy with lots of seating available.
You are offered a small shot of homemade lemonade on arrival which is very nice.
The server was nice and the drinks were given very promptly with frozen ice glasses to ensure an ice cold beverage. The food was not much longer of a wait.
I got the stromboli pizza which was very good, they give you a proper pizza cutter which is rare for a lot of places. The pizza was really nice, and what seems to be manager made sure everything was good and asked if we needed anything at all.
Afterwards we were not rushed to leave, and the bill was promptly delivered which is a big plus as a lot of places recently it’s a chore to get the bill.
Overall this restaurant is great for just outside of Paddington, the pricing for the food is reasonable and great tasting.

Ask Italian near Paddington Station is a gem! Friendly staff and personalized service (such a relief not having to order through an app). The food was delicious, portions were generous, and prices were reasonable. Definitely the best Italian spot in the Paddington area!

Warm & cosy restaurant with friendly staff. We didn't have a reservation for a thursday night, but the night was early and there was plenty of room for a oarty of three. The food was good and had a genuine, italian home-made zing. Very good value for the money, not too posh. Would visit again.

We ordered carry out. First of all, the website offers 20% off all day everyday on takeaway but that was not honored for us (something about taxes and needing to update the website). That felt like a scam - I was surprised they advertised the discount and weren’t willing to honor it. The portions were tiny. We paid £3.75 for 5 little sprigs of broccoli. Not much meat in the meat sauce. No salad dressing came with our insalata mixta. We ordered the spaghetti pesto genovese and got spaghetti with meat sauce - when I called to let the restaurant know the server said “you said genovese, that’s meat sauce”, even though the menu item is “spaghetti pesto al genevese” and I specified pesto when I ordered. They did re-make it for me, but I had to walk back to pick it up and return the incorrect dish. Overall way overpriced and disappointing, though you may have a better experience dining in.

When we arrived, only a few tables were occupied. Our host assisted with a great table location and presented today's menu. Previously, we reviewed the menu online and discovered that one of our choicrs was being featured. Our drinks were on the table before we could order, and our salads followed quickly thereafter. The kitchen must be running quickly upon finishing our salads. The main course appeared. Impressive zero wait time between. After dinner, the cleanup was prompt, and the desert menu was presented. Yes, cheese cake with coffee put the finishing touch on a perfect evening. Now, as leaving the restaurant, there wasn't a free table, inside or out, everyone was being treated to exceptional World Class Customer Service.

Excellent dinner. Thank you Giancarlo and staff.
We booked the dinner through The Fork app and sent a message earlier in the day about our kids, allergies to eggs and nuts. Giancarlo responded via email to let us know what pastors and pizza did not have eggs. We were able to order, spaghetti, rigatoni, and any pizza. We really appreciated the early notice.
We each ordered a pasta or a pizza, and also split lamb chops at the table. Everything was yummy.
The kids ordered the spaghetti all'Amatriciana, Rigatoni alla Genovese, and the Diavola pizza. They all finished their healthy sized portions (especially the pizza) and joked with the wait staff about the amount of Parmesan that our youngest had on his pasta.
My wife had the Gnocchi con Nduja e Salsicca (which was so good! And she didn’t finish and we brought some home) and I had the Margherita pizza with some of the Lamb Chops. The pizza was a little more doughy than we thought it would be, but it was unique and so flavourful! My eldest som even had a bite. The Lamb Chops smelled and tasted amazing, just the perfect amount of char grill on it.
All the staff were friendly. The waitress working the desserts was prepping them right beside our table. That convinced us to get three desserts to share. We had the Gelati, the Belgium Apple Flan, and the After Dinner Mint. Our youngest licked the Mint dessert clean, loved it. The wafers in the Gelati may have had eggs so the allergy free folks in our group ate them. Everything was scrumptious.
Great spot, great ambience, and really friendly staff. we reserved our table through The Fork to get extra discount as well. This place was steady, and it looked like there were a number of locals who frequent the spot. That doesn’t surprise him because everything but the spirits was just excellent. Thank you so much to the staff for a wonderful night.

This review is based on my experience at the restaurant on my previous birthday. I have got a warmly welcome upon arrival and was seated at the table I requested for. Food is hot and well presented. However, the signature dish seemed to be not beautifully outstanding as before. Nevertheless, we are totally satisfied and highly appreciated by the service provided.
Highly recommended.

We dined in this restaurant with a few friends. The quality of starters were very standard but the main course was a different experience. I had sea bass with petit aubergine… absolutely delicious
Dessert was amazing as there was different taste in every dish.
Staff are quite in rush for serving the food and clear up.

I went here recently to celebrate my birthday and it was quite lovely. The host who was looking after us was quite irritated and just seemed very uninterested to communicate with us. Perhaps they were just having a bad day.
The food arrived very quickly, but we had to wait quite a while for the cocktails. The dish I would most definitely go back for - Kaeng Ka Ree Gai! The creamy texture of this curry was insane. I just wish they had an extra large portion!!
They gave complementary birthday treats and candle, which was very sweet. There was nice background music going on, but it was in general very quiet mellow atmosphere for dinner.

At last we found a restaurant that serves quality malaysian food. We had sup ekor that was so delicious i wanted to praise the cook personally. Unlike many malay sup ekors, this one wasn't too oily and only lightly salted, the flavours were perfectly balanced. A rarity. Pajeri nenas took me back home. The rendang daging however was a crime. It tasted like an instant dish made by mixing the beef with a pre-made rendang sauce. The meat wasn't tender and didn't fall apart when pressed, the flavour just didn't come through. Luckily this didn't ruin our experience. The waiter was very friendly.

Always come here when in London to get my Malaysian food fix. The price is expected as it's London but still reasonable when compared to other London Restaurants.. further more it's Halal..so no worries in that department. This time I tried the Oxtail soup also the Chicken Sour Egg and the fried rice. As usual it doesn't disappoint my taste buds. Additional added bonus is that it has a praying room downstairs with ablution area. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed.

Great food - everything fresh and well-prepared. Pappadums not oily at all and come with a nice selection of chutnies.
Only downside is a really poor beer selection - just one lager (Cobra) - no IPA, ale, stout or cider.

Overall good experience, I am not sure why people are complaining about staff, we haven’t faced any challenge, in fact found staff very courteous and supportive. Food quality was good, enjoyed the lamb kebabs and spinach. Also butter chicken was refreshing and tasteful. Cost wise it was ok, because of its location to Paddington station.

Thank you for a fantastic dinner. They saw us struggling with the decision and promised us that it won't be too spicy (one child) and it turned out perfect.
The Peshawari Naan was sweet and soft, so was the butter naan. The chef's special lamb was amazing (must try) and the meat was so soft. The Rogan Josh lamb was so flavorful and mild. They remix the spice for the Chicken Tikka!!
Amazing meal. We ate alot of Indian Cuisine in Toronto and in Asia, my hats off to the chef for blending the spices that each dish has its own unique flavor.
Greeter, waiter, servers - all excellent service.
Great meal for our 1st day in London. Thank God Hyde Park is few mins away... we need to walk off the calories.

I am a regular visitor of their Hounslow branch, so I can make a very good comparison. This place is very centrally located near Paddington station but is much smaller than the Hounslow branch. It would be may be one fifth by size. Food is okay but not as good as compared to the Hounslow branch. May be because the chefs are different, that's why there is that difference. But the overall food was good as well. Though the preparation was totally different from Hiunslow but I can't call it bad. The place is very small and has a retro effect. The service was okay but could have been better. It is very popular among the locals, as when I was there the restaurant was totally full and the manager had to return 5-6 customers for non availability of table. Overall, it didn't disappoint me.

This was the best breakfast we had in London. My Father-In-Law is a bit of an egg snob, has 2 a day every day. He said the scrambled eggs were the best he’s ever had. Do NOT be dissuaded by the fact the space also operates as a laundromat. Staff was super friendly with our little daughter and you could tell the owner really cares about his customers.
Might look weird after walking in but TRUST ME, give this place a chance.

Amazing random encounter in London.
The atmosphere is great, the Elvis tunes, the humming of the machines in the back, the simple decor makes you feel at home. The occasional massage from the machine vibrations while you eat the delicious breakfast is only very soothing.
Love this place and will probably come back during my trip.
