Love this place. We found it on the off chance last year while driving home through Kew and went back today, and it was just as good.
The area is really nice and the restaurant has an authentic French feel. Staff are all friendly and helpful, and the food was fresh, well presented, and super tasty. The liver was soft, perfectly cooked and tasty, the Hake was fresh with a lovely prawn sauce, everything was amazing.
Thank guys, I'm sure we'll be back.

Very well cooked food, French classics. Service a little too keen to clear away mid meal, but the food is very well done. Not inexpensive, but a good Sunday lunch option

In a 19 degrees Celsius evening, I had a lovely dinner with a lovely lady. We had the goat cheese for starters to share with was the perfect sharing portion, and deliciously so. We then order a coq du vin special which was perfectly matched with a red wine. We couldn’t leave out their niche spectacular crème brûlée made of coffee and Kauhla liquor. It was truly a special evening sitting outside with the pleasantly optimal temperature provided by nature. Recommend. Enjoy. Write a review. Support local business. The waitress and waiter were both pleasantly polite and helpful. I would definitely return here. My smile can’t lie!

Great Wi-Fi quality, is full signal! I liked the Irish beef fillet very much😄and the light 💡 in restaurant too, there’s a butterfly style one. The server was cute and humorous haha.

Great! We live nearby and have eaten here many times over the years. The food is always amazing and freshly prepared. For breakfast we regularly take the eggs Royale. For lunch I have had the fish cake, pie, chicken burger and pizzas and can recommend them all. It is not the cheapest restaurant in Kew but the atmosphere is great and the food very good quality.

We were rather underwhelmed by this place. The food is good, but not outstanding and it certainly does not meet the high prices. We (two adults and one child) tried the pizza, which was fine, three starters, the Whisky & maple cured pork tomahawk, duck fat chips and one glass of wine and this came to over £90. The pork was around £25 and it was basically a few cuts of meat and two bits of grilled corn. It certainly didn't feel like a £25 entrée. Value for money for us wasn't there and the service was average.

I’ve been coming here for 5 years but have felt let down by it recently. I tried to give it one last go and was so disappointed. The new evening menu is overpriced and the 3 meals that came were not worth there price, the picture is for Taco’s at £26! They told us 5 things on the menu weren’t available, including the reduced pizza choice because there was no ‘pizza chef’. The service was clumsy and slow, with the final final frustration being the automatic addition of 15% for service on overpriced food. The UK has minimum wage for all industries and I chose not to pay it. We need independent restaurants in the village but they need to provide a good experience.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Antipodea in Kew, and it was an outstanding experience. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a vibrant yet cozy interior that instantly made me feel at home. The staff were friendly and attentive, always ready with a smile and happy to help.
The food was simply delicious, with a menu that creatively blended classic dishes with unique twists. The coffee was top-notch, providing a rich and satisfying start to the day.
Overall, Antipodea in Kew is a must-visit spot for anyone looking for great food, excellent coffee, and a relaxed vibe. I can't wait to go back and try more of their offerings. Highly recommended!

It was busy when I got there, and definitely easy to see why. The barista still took the time to give everyone some latte art in their coffee. Really nice place to visit.

Amazing scenic atmosphere by Kew Gardens. We were visiting the area on a quiet rainy day so it was quaint and empty. Really enjoyed the sandwiches and the coffee. Friendly service as well. Great value for the price!

Nice latte and mocha. Service was efficient albeit a little brusque. We also got a raspberry brownie, but there was no discernible raspberry flavour. Ambience was relaxing.

Lovely place, great coffee, nice outside area when warmer. Friendly staff normally. Music often vibes funky Mediterranean or Middle Eastern.
Shame they STILL don't have a hook in the toilet for a handbag etc after I have mentioned. Must have been designed by a guy right? Huh? Will they read this ...? Let's see

Stopped by for lunch. The owners and staff members were friendly. Ordered fish and chips, and chicken kebab. Both were delightful. The fish was great but the chips were just OK. The price was decent for the amount of generous portion. Both dishes came with some veggie on the side. This restaurant is right by the Kew station.

I seriously love my fish and chips and this was hands down the best fish and chips I’ve ever had in my life.
Everything was completely made to order and boy was it worth the wait.
The batter was so crispy but not greasy and the fish was so juicy and succulent in the middle. It was literally cooked to perfection.
The chips were amazing too. Not to crispy and not to soggy. A perfect blend and you can tell they use really good potatoes.
Really friendly service in lovely little area. Just a shame I don’t live closer as would be here every Friday!
Highly recommend!!

The best fried fish I’ve ever had in my life. The fish was freshly fried. It has a thin and crispy coating and a very tender interior. People there are also very friendly. Absolutely amazing. Highly recommended!

Dined in, sitting at one of the tables. Fresh tasting cod and good chips. Crispy batter. Courteous and friendly staff. There’s a small extra charge for dining in (menu in the photo is the dine-in menu). Fish in the photo is a large sized cod. Would recommend 👍

Absolutely delicious with extremely friendly staff with a smile. If you're visiting and want fish and chips -- look no further!! The fish is fresh and tender and the batter crisp and just right. Portion size is great too. You can't go wrong with the haddock or cod. 10/10!!

The place is very crowded on Sunday, but the drink are totally worth waiting. Had caramel waffle latte with whipped cream, my weekend guilty pleasure. It is very tasty and very sweet

Nice Starbucks! Stopped by to grab some drinks and snacks. Had the Matcha Frappuccino and Peach Iced Tea. Both were great and the baristas/staff members were friendly and very speedy. One of the few stores that open a bit later in the area but with limited seating especially after 6/6:30 PM. Overall it was great and not too crowded while we were there.

Ordered drinks and then 2mins later told "we are closing this section off". Given that the space is limited and some of the available space had the stools already on the table this was a shabby thing to do. This was over an hour before the closing time. The place is run for the convenience of the staff rather than customers. Fortunately there are plenty of alternative coffee shops nearby, so bye bye Starbucks in Kew.

5 stars for the brewed coffee. Fresh, hot, tasty. Staff will brew a fresh pot if needed. Dogs allowed. Honestly, sometimes you just need 20oz of coffee. 😳

Attractive Italian eatery in close proximity to Kew Gardens. Service was friendly and attentive. Although the pasta was well cooked we felt that we could have produced a similar tasting dish at home for a fraction of the price. The orange chocolate cake was luxurious and a decedent was to end a well rounded meal.

Me and my husband eat here at least once a month, more in the summer. It is a family run restaurant and you really feel that - the staff all feel like friends and it is the warmest of places. The food is absolutely gorgeous, I always feel like I am on holiday when I eat there - it’s like one of those hidden gems you find on your travels and then you end up going back there every night. Recommendations? That’s tough because I love everything. I always enjoy the truffle ravioli and the risottos, but then sometimes I’ll opt for something different from the specials board - I had swordfish tagliatelle last night which was divine.

Amazing experience! It is a family runt restaurant and therefore it we could say that it has their heart in it. The dishes were top noch! I have been to different Italian restaurants in Europe but i have never experienced something like that. Very Italian service - lively, lovely, friendly and caring. We will definitely go back when visiting our friends in Richmond. Thank you Q verde family. Recommended special - chicken liver! ❤️

I've been looking forward to visiting this restaurant for quite some time, based on previous Google reviews.
Honestly, it was a little disappointing when we did manage to get some food here. The staff are extremely friendly, can't complain about the service at all. The atmosphere was good but could be better.
The real disappointment was the food. It wasn't at the level I was expecting. Though the starters were good, the mains were mediocre. I've had better food at many other Italian restaurants.
Please don't take this as negative criticism, that's not my intention. I would suggest looking into hiring another chef to elevate the taste. Or drop the prices. You can't have both mediocre food and absurd prices.
