5 Star Rating 6* Absolutely amazing restaurant located in Kensington. Came here a couple of times previously and unfortunately they were fully booked, tried our luck again and thankfully they were able to squeeze us in.(BE WARNED- if you haven't booked you'll be lucky to get in, definitely so at peak times). The menu looked great, rustic English fare.We went for stilton mousse and cheese and leek tart for starters followed by rump of lamb and fish pie. The food was faultless. Every dish tasted gorgeous. The wine (just went for Malbec and Chablis by the glass) was very nice too. The service was friendly, attentive and helpful. The atmosphere was warm, cosy and romantic with a very rural theme. Prices were reasonable considering the quality of the food and the location of the restaurant. Overall we had a great time and I'm so glad we were able to get a table. We'd both like to go again, soon. My thanks to the gentlemen on the door, they were very busy so I didn't get chance to get his name (owner, manager, maitre d, greeter?) But he was amazing and a real credit to the restaurant. I'd highly recommend this restaurant.

5 Star Rating Fantastic service, ambience, and food. The food itself is good, but it's really everything else that puts the experience over the top! It's a little pricey, but specially compared to other pubs, but in my opinion, completely worth it! I had: - Stilton mousse: fantastic! - Sausage and mash: good. The onion gravy had fantastic depth - Chocolate pot: dense, but silky

5 Star Rating I made this last minute booking through email and got the confirmation within minutes so that was a good start! Very responsive even over emails. The place is unpretentious but you get more than you would expect! I chose this place for a catch-up with my friends whom I haven’t seen for 10+ years! We were led downstairs which was a surprise at first but it was the perfect place and my friends really liked it too — what with it’s rustic charm and English food. The food was fantastic (we even had a vegetable dish on the house, thanks!). Service was superb and very patient with us when we delayed our order because one of my friends was running late. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely come here again with my family next!

5 Star Rating We were accidentally a day late for our reservation, but the staff was happy to move some tables around to accommodate our party of five! The food was outstanding. We all chose to do the prefix menu, and I had the quiche/tarte, the sausage & gravy, and the apple crumb w/custard. All were excellent. They serve magnums of wine & charge you according to how much of it you drank, which is a brilliant idea! They also do glasses, but for our group the magnum made sense. Service was super friendly. Highly recommend!

5 Star Rating Absolutely amazing! Can't really think of a single negative aspect of our visit to Maggie Jone's. The place is beautifully decorated, which kind of takes you back in time. It was also interesting and fun to eat at a restaurant that is almost entirely lit by candles. Our waiter Louie was an absolute gentleman, very courteous and helpful with recommendations. Last but not least, the food was probably one of the best we've had during our stay in London. My partner and I went for the 3 course menu, which was so plentiful that we ended up sharing one dessert.

4 Star Rating One of Green King pub at just off busy high street Kensington. Nice to pop in to have a cold pint in this cozy old little pub after a long walk for shopping. The food is traditional pub menu and nothing special, but is variety, reasonable and tastes good. The bar staff are friendly and good service. TV's on for watching sports games. No garden or courtyard for smokers.

5 Star Rating Genuinely some of the best nigiri my wife and I have had. Every piece was balanced perfectly and as their cheeky slogan states, skip the soy sauce here, as you definitely do not need it. The uni was melt in your mouth incredible with a touch of wasabi. To follow we both ordered the eight piece omakase which again, was incredible and left us wishing we had got the eleven piece. The service was perfect and everyone in the staff was so kind. 5 Star Rating Update: We decided to visit the pub again and really glad we did. The gammon steak and 8 oz. sirloin were superb. I would recommend these if you wish to try the classics. It wasn't busy at the time of our visit and staff gave us an overview of the Greene King brand. The place was clean and the ambience was relaxed. It was a pleasant experience, very many thanks to the team (huge credit to the chef for the fantastic meal). Previous review: Booked a table for 2, arrived only to be told kitchen was out of order which was fine as these things do happen, however, we received no notification that this was the case, otherwise, we wouldn't have made the journey. Interacted with 2 staff throughout, one was friendly and nice, one staff was a bit off with his customer-facing skills towards us. The decor is nice and I can only imagine the ambience when watching live sports on tele. I may visit again to give the place another chance to redeem itself and will definitely home in on customer-facing skills. I believe in second chances. In the meantime, 3 stars is fair.

5 Star Rating This is the best schwarma place. The meat, the sauces, the portion size to price ratio, and most importantly: the flavours. The food is freshly made and the kitchen area is visible, giving confidence in the food being made. They give you everything you need to create the perfect meal to your liking. The service is great, the workers and cooks are very friendly and are very hard working. I get that the dining area itself is a little cramped but what can you expect based on property size. What they've made is plenty spacious enough for families and couples. I don't even live in London, but I visit just to go here, it's the best one.

5 Star Rating Ranoush is a great little Lebanese spot with a traditional menu and well-cooked flavourful food. I’ve been several times and it’s consistent and straightforward which is great. I will say the dishes are pricey in my opinion even accounting for the premium location. Portion sizes are decent, and the service is great. Never had any problems getting a table. It may be difficult to find parking nearby but it’s very close to a tube. Would recommend if you like Lebanese food.

They were all very well dressed and clearly cared about their business and the service they offered. We ordered the afternoon tea which was very good, especially the desserts. I think they could do with cleaning the floors more often, and give the restrooms a bit more attention. 3 Star Rating Whilst the service was impeccable here, the evening was slightly let down by the food. Somethings we had were excellent, Pani Puri, Avocado dumplings, Chatt (starters) however the mains didn't live up to the preclude to the meal. The panneer was watery and the lamb chops were mainly bone. The Desi salad wasn't chopped, it was sliced tomato, onion and cucumber which was just odd and disappointing. I expected a bowl of refreshing salad. The prawns were stand out, however there were only three. For the price, I would expect more. All in all, not a complete disaster, with a few tweaks this restaurant could be great, but right now, it's just not worth the premium prices they are charging.

A minor issue is that I informed the waitress that my son has a mild egg allergy to ensure nothing with egg, but when we ordered dessert, they forgot, and my son had a slight reaction. It's manageable, but please be careful, as this could be a significant issue for people with food allergies. The rest was fine, and the food was tasty.

3 Star Rating Average experience at our first time visit! Dinner time. Firstly, the staff judged us because we didn’t have reservations, however, during our time, the only 10-15% table were full. Secondly, the waiting time was not good, longer than we expected. Mushroom soup was tasty, lamb steak was okaying. Pesto aubergine was not good, the aubergine does not enough, was kinda eating only pesto. Service charge can be seen and it is higher for this service.

5 Star Rating Really enjoyed our lunch here. Staff were helpful and there was a good choice of food, all of which was very tasty. The place has an interesting casual vibe, which is relaxing, with wooden tables and a buzz of chatter. There is a tree in the centre, which was seasonally decorated, which added to the sense of place. My mushroom soup (soup of the day), came with two pieces of toasted sourdough, and was an excellent soup. My companions were equally happy with their options, the breakfast burrito, fish and chips and a cheese omelette. The bathrooms are downstairs, and I did like the sign on the doors, oddly a lady having to cross her legs.
