5 Star Rating A wonderful building, staff were amazing. Breakfast was great. Rooms were very tidy, very comfortable. Shower was one of the best I've ever experienced in a hotel. A great hotel by any standards. The building is jaw dropping at times on the inside. But .. External sounds were penetrating into the room. From AC units to the subway trains and the people on the street. However, I can't complain... I slept like a log. So just goes to show how the body adapts. Lastly, the TV channels didn't work but I wasn't there to watch TV so it didn't bother me. Just something to bear in mind. Overall I'd definitely stay again.

5 Star Rating The location of this hotel was excellent for everything we wanted to see. It is right off of Trafalgar Square so we were able to walk to Westminster Abbey, Parliament and Big Ben, and Buckingham palace very easily. We also didn't mind the walk to Tower of London and Hyde park, but could have easily taken public transportation as well. The bed was very comfortable and the restaurant has a beautiful breakfast room. We would absolutely stay here again!

5 Star Rating We had a lovely hotel room here. We opted for the Deluxe Double and had a good amount of space. The view wasnt great but we were on a side that overlooked another building. If your room was at the front then you'd have a great view. We were surprised by how quiet it was. We didn't hear anything outside despite it's busy location, and I don't know if we had any neighbours but we did not hear them! Breakfast was included for us which included a buffet style English breakfast, but continental options and many more were also available as part of the price. We booked on the day, having tracked the prices in the build up and it saved us a good chunk of money! Overall a great experience!

5 Star Rating Great location - we walked everywhere to see parks, major landmarks, shopping, dining. Front desk staff is the biggest part of our experience. We arrived early and they helped us multiple times throughout the day. They were friendly and attentive. We took an upgrade on the room and it was quite nice. Breakfast was included and way beyond expectations for what you would get with a free meal. The hotel bar was nice / friendly environment. Overall, it was a great value. We’ll be back.

2 Star Rating For the price, this hotel is not worth it. We were told our minibar was stocked and free of charge but it wasn’t. Ours also wasn’t working. The two waters that were in there were warm. We called and they sent a maintenance person who said he’d be right back with a replacement but he never showed. We were never told about an airport shuttle upon check-in and when we asked about it the next day, the check-in rep said we needed to request it the day prior. But who knew that? The air conditioning is also bad. We didn’t expect a really cold room but we did expect comfortable. Finally, we requested a late check-out and was granted one at noon, but they called us after 11 and told us we had to check out at 11. When I explained we had been granted one until noon by the desk representative, he said it wasn’t in the system. Not my problem and I wasn’t lying about it! I’d never stay here again. Service is really, really bad from our experience.

4 Star Rating I have used this restaurant often. 5 star review for the team. However, two very terrible ladies, both from India have us our first unacceptable Experience on July 7, 2024. The poor treatment we got from the ladies was received from the two bartenders on duty between 12:15-12:20 AM on July 7, 2024. This incident occurred at the Boyd restaurant and bar, which is situated within Club Quarters. As we approached the bar, one of the bartenders, a lady, began shaking her head and smiling while informing us that the bar was closed. This was done in a dismissive manner that felt both unprofessional and disrespectful. To make matters worse, she then proceeded to walk away, leaving her colleague behind who openly laughed at us. I typically refrain from leaving negative reviews, but this experience was particularly upsetting. The dismissive and unprofessional behavior displayed by these two individuals is unacceptable and does not align with the standards I have come to expect from your establishment. Their conduct not only tarnished our evening but also left us with a very negative impression of the restaurant and bar. It is crucial that such staff members do not continue to represent your organization, as their behavior could severely impact the reputation of both the restaurant and the hotel. Based on this experience, I regret to say that I will not be returning to the restaurant, and this incident may also affect my continued patronage of the hotel which houses Boyd.

5 Star Rating Pre-booked a table for lunch, on arrival the sun appeared from behind the clouds. Asked if we could sit on deck rather than in the restaurant (which looked fabulous). Yes, of course, was the reply but it's silver service here or you order at the bar on deck with less choice on the menu. Found a table on deck and enjoyed that rare event recently, the sunshine! The Buxton Pale was delicious and the meal was piping hot served in a box with recyclable utensils. Brilliant.

5 Star Rating We first visited Sherlock Holmes about 15 years ago and decided to return this month for a meal and a couple of pints. As great as we remembered! From the kitschy Sherlock decor and his study to the quality English pub fare to the efficient and warm service upstairs, we were quite pleased with this most recent visit. Shout out to the upstairs dining staff — Natalie, Jo, and Kaitlin — for making our visit perfect! (And a HOT TIP - the kids’ fish & chips is the best value!)

5 Star Rating This is the third place I've had fish and chips at in the past four days visiting London, and I finally found objectively good fish and chips! The chips were bland as is normal for Bri'ish chips (sorry, England, just being honest), but finally a place where the fish is still crispy and not soggy on the bottom. Nearly rated the food a five because of it, but the typically bland chips and bland peas keep the overall food rating at a four for me. Definitely recommend this place for beer AND fish and chips, though!

Would recommend for a lunch meal or a place to bring visiting family for a cool and good British food experience. The food was also very flavorful, I love what I had, (but forgot the name I’m sorry it was Duck something 😅) but it was really good. Pretty good portion and the duck was tender. Thanks for the food!

4 Star Rating Lovely quirky pub with good range table sizes. They do do food but I didn't look at the menu. Drinks are about average price for that area of London. Good quiet spots to read your book and enjoy your pint. Service wasn't great. Asked which Stouts and Porters were on and got a blank look - just ordered a Guinness as that's all I could see. I suspect there were some real ales but perhaps not dark ones? Either way the bar keep didn't seem to know what I was asking for which isn't the best for a real ale pub.

5 Star Rating Dinner here a number times previously. This time it was election night. Had cocktails in adjacent bar prior to dinner, table for three. Had the dinner three course- great value. Cocktails are very good - standard London hotel price of £20. Dinner was well priced:2 courses for £39 and three for £45. Food was generally above average to good. The green pea volute was very nice as was the lamb cutlet albeit the portion for the lamb was tiny. Desert of strawberry and lemon Millefeuille was good too- beautifully presented. Service was very good . All in all a very pleasant night with good option for food and great cocktails. Previous review: A quiet Wednesday evening for them. Excellent from Start to finish. We had an amazing sommelier called Selina who was engaging and wonderful to talk to about her knowledge of wine. The ceviche starter was good as was the chicken mains .both presented beautifully. Desert of gateau was also very good. Had the most amazing wines- the amarone and the pipparello. Will be back next month when the set dinner menu changes.

5 Star Rating Our meal here was absolutely stunning and the service was phenomenal. We came to celebrate our wedding anniversary and did not leave disappointed! We tried the house cured salmon, the ricotta and pine nut ravioli, the pork tenderloin, and the veal, as well as some wine. Everything was exceptional, from the sourdough that came out with an artichoke cream and decadent salted butter, all the way through the mains and the dessert selections offered. There was a small hiccup with the side not arriving with our mains (which wasn’t an issue to begin with.) and our server removed the charge without even being asked. I would return here in a heartbeat and wish to thank all of the staff for making our first meal in London and our wedding anniversary special, and certainly a meal to remember!

3 Star Rating Nice pub at a nice location. The food and the house beer need some improvement though. I ordered nachos but it wasn’t close to being a proper nachos plate. There was no guacamole, instead it was big chunks of avocado. Salsa tasted wrong. Cheese wasn’t enough. The spicy flavour was from chips itself not the pepper - there was no pepper. Smashed potatoes could be better with a different presentation. Fries were ok. BLT was ok, nothing special though. That applies to the house beer as well. The atmosphere is good. It makes you thirsty :) The staff is friendly but for some reason some seemed in between rush and panic. I have also seen an apparently senior server roasting another server quietly but in the middle of the tables. This was not nice. They show PL games and F1 races which is great. Thanks!

Definitely is a touristic place. Food is very average, nothing wow or even good. The chicken breast I ordered seemed overcooked. The steak pie is interesting, although the taste wasn’t that good. Something I liked, is that you pick a table, then order and pay from the bar, they will bring your food to the table. You can add the tip amount that you want, since is not required.

4 Star Rating Pizza Express mains are always great, no complaint. The service here needs some improvement; staff don't want to help, don't want to make eye contact, and they seem only concerned with strictly their own tables and, I guess, some kind of commissions system. The wrong order was brought out too, and we had to pay extra due to the waiting staff not understanding our order. Nevertheless, it's Pizza Express, so it's still great.

2 Star Rating Against my better judgement we decided to visit Pizza Hut after a viewing of the 1990 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film, as pizza seemed appropriate and we hoped to double up on some early 90s nostalgia - back to a time when Pizza Hut dominated the UK pizza scene with it's thick oily bases before better alternatives arrived. We had to queue for a short while surprisingly, it was early in the evening so I assume people were looking for a quick and easy pre-theatre meal. We were unfortunately sat in the gloomy windowless downstairs area, on a tiny table stuck between a till point and a wall adorned with ancient peeling artwork of pizza-themed super heroes. The table was so wobbly we had to put a total of three napkins under to steady it. Waiting staff were fast but impersonal, with ordering done via a QR code and online menu as though we were back in pandemic times. Everything felt geared to turning over tables as quickly as possible. Once we'd ordered the waiter brought glasses for our self-serve drinks and they were absolutely disgusting - covered in fingerprints, smears and lip marks, as though they hadn't been washed in days. I asked for cleaner glasses but the ones we received weren't much better. The infamous salad bar was just as you remember it, tastes have changed but it has not. The produce was of an extremely low quality - browning lettuce, limp cucumber and the blandest tomatoes I've ever tasted - I've had tap water with more flavour. The pizza itself was just as I remembered for better or worse - thick, doughy, oily base and a reasonable amount of cheese and toppings. I found the prices startling, around £30 for a large pizza and £13 for a small, medium no longer an option. The atmosphere was abysmal - the couple behind us were having an extremely unpleasant argument during which he told her to 'sit down or I'll drag you down', not the restaurant's fault - unless the flaccid salad had put them in such a foul mood that they had resorted to verbally abusing each other. It's hard to find much to recommend about the the Hut - the pizza was edible but you'd be better off at one of the many other pizza restaurants in the area. Unfortunately as the queue showed there will never be a shortage of tourists and theatre-goers who don't know any better to keep the place churning out overpriced, below average, mass-produced junk food.
