We went there for fish and chips. We had to make a reservation. They take your coat to the front desk and give you a number to return it. The food was the best fish and chips that we tried in London.
The atmosphere is cozy and calm, considering we are in Europe, and everything is smaller and tighter than in the US.

Loved it so much. Great service amazing vibes in a beautiful, characterful and vintage interior. Liked that it is fairly relaxed while feeling sophisticated and food prices and very reasonable. Food was fantastic too. Great shepherds pie and steak tartare!

I had the pleasure of dining at The Ivy recently, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious. it's clear that the chefs take great pride in their craft.
What truly stood out, however, was the service. From the moment we arrived, the hostess Ms. Binta, made us feel right at home. She greeted us with a warm smile, was attentive without being overbearing, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening. Her friendly demeanor and professionalism added a personal touch that really made the experience special.

I recently had lunch at The Ivy in London with my girlfriend, and it was a fantastic experience. I opted for the Malaysian Curry, which was really flavourful and perfectly spiced, while my girlfriend enjoyed the Tuna Steak, which was cooked to her perfection. Both meals were delicious felt of high quality. The atmosphere was pleasant, with a traditional & stylish setting that made our lunch feel special. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience, and we can’t wait to return!

Their pre-theatre menu is amazing! Two courses for £29.99, we opted for mains and dessert.
Everything was full of flavour. The portions are on a smaller side but that’s expected. You’d need an extra side dish also.

We always visit Hawksmoor seven dials when we are in London, the steaks I would say are going to be hard to beat the service is really good the place is always packed so I would always suggest you book well in advance, the portions are slightly larger than you might imagine we usually only mange two courses. You won’t be disappointed but it can be a quite loud in my opinion but this is definitely not a negative point purely my observation

100% recommend. I had a lovely night out for dinner at the Hawksmoor. From start to finish, the food and service was excellent. I had a seasonal kiwi cocktail, lobster and creamed spinach. They also serve the best sticky toffee pudding. The staff were excellent, especially Tika who attended on our table and had a very friendly and cheerful manner, ensuring that we were well taken care of. My husband and I truly enjoyed dinner at the Hawksmoor and look forward to returning again.

I visited Hawksmoor for my birthday, and the meal was exceptional.
Our server Nathan (Nate) was superb, very attentive and kind.
My partner is a vegetarian, I know it seems a weird choice to visit a Carny restaurant but it was 'My' birthday. The choice was limited for him but he settled for egg and chips, which made me lol. he said they were the best fried eggs he's ever had (possibly cooked in beef dripping 🤭)
Everything was perfect and would definitely go back, it beats many steak restaurants I've visited in London.
I rarely eat everything but clean plates all round.

Stopped in for dessert, specifically sticky toffee pudding. We started out with cocktails, a Sour cherry Negroni and Gingerbread Man. Both were excellent. Next up the Sticky Toffee Pudding. One of the best desserts I have had, so rich and moist and the clotted cream was perfect to cut richness of the pudding. Highly recommend!

Had a really good night for my birthday, amazing service via Alejandro as we sat on the bar. He recommended his favourites and so we took the pork belly. Leah also made sure we had everything on point. She is was lovely.
Pork belly was devine & works perfectly if you have a sweet tooth while the cod was tender & completed nicely by the mushroom
Will return for sure

We had Octopus, Pork belly, steak, King prawn, the food was delicious and great service. The salad with the Octopus a bit salty, apart from that , everything was soo good. Small plates and good for sharing.
Aaron was very attentive.

While I had reserved a table seat for an important guest, we were unfortunately seated at the counter. Despite this initial disappointment, the restaurant's busy Christmas party season didn't deter the exceptional service provided by Aaron.
We indulged in delicious dishes like pan con tomate, jamón ibérico, garlic prawns, octopus carpaccio, and so on. To make our visit even more special, Aaron graciously accommodated my last-minute request for a personalized dessert plate, which delighted my guest.
Thanks to the outstanding food and Aaron's exemplary service, I would definitely return to Opera Tavern.

We had a lovely evening at Opera Tavern in Covent Garden, a charming spot specializing in Spanish and Italian tapas. The sangria was delightful, and the selection of dishes—from the indulgent Jamón Ibérico and Manchego croquetas to the fresh yellowfin tuna—was excellent. The Patatas Bravas were tasty, though we felt they could have benefited from a bit more bravas sauce. Service was attentive, with Aaron ensuring we were well taken care of. Overall, a fantastic experience—we'll be back!

First time visiting, Rules Restaurant and it was a great experience form the moment you walk into the restaurant with its classical British elegance and history, the customer service is fantastic from taking your belongs and coats to store away and constant checking if everything is "good" and topping up of your drinks etc, the mannerism from the staff is brilliant and in such politeness and assistance when required, the food was fantastic which we has the aged salt sirloin steak, lamb shoulder and the dessert which was the apple and cranberry crumble with custard which was light, warm and delicious. The toilets are super clean and there is a upstairs sitting area - I will for sure be returning back to the Rules Restaurant and I like that there is a dress code which is smart. Thank you for a lovely experience and a place to take love ones, family and civilised of society.

This has to be the most beautiful festive place to eat over the Christmas period. Stunning decorations and Dickensian food! The portions are huge so I recommend you share a main and add all the sides. Plus you’ll have more space left for the amazing puddings. Service was impeccable.

Rules, the oldest restaurant in London, nestled in the heart of Covent Garden, provides a quintessentially British dining experience. Stepping inside feels like entering a piece of history, with its unique decor that celebrates British heritage—playful touches include portraits of crowned heads, detailed hunting scenes, and classic antique paintings. The comfortable banquettes enhance the cozy, inviting atmosphere, making it easy to settle in for an enjoyable meal.
The menu offers a variety of traditional British dishes, all perfectly executed with an authentic touch that’s hard to find elsewhere. Their wine selection, though concise, is thoughtfully curated and pairs beautifully with the cuisine. The service is exceptional, with staff that are not only attentive but add a personal touch, making each visit feel special.
We return every year, and each time, Rules consistently provides a memorable experience. It’s truly a pleasure to revisit such a timeless establishment.

Gorgeous! Honestly, I had a prejudice against British food. I had traveled to Paris via London, but this was my first time touring London in depth.
And today, I opened my eyes to the world of British cuisine for the first time here. The Roast rib of beef and Dauphinoise, potatos was super delicious... but I was so full that I couldn't eat the pudding bread.
But as you know... I couldn't give up dessert, so I asked her "How about a simple syrup sponge? Isn't not too heavy? " She asked if I wanted the truth and recommended the sticky toffee pudding:)
Oh my... I really experienced a new world that I had never tasted before. It was not too sweet, and the harmony of mysterious flavors and the dreamy custard sauce were very luxurious.
I want to send a kiss of gratitude to Rules for completely destroying my prejudice. They were even really friendly and humorous, which made the delicious meal even more gorgeous. They were super professional.
If you visit England, I highly recommend this restaurant as a must-visit.

Fantastic decor with lots of atmosphere. Food : Starter disappointing (dressed Crab & Onion Soup)
Main: Cod with a mussel curried sauce was excellent & monk fish was good but slightly over cooked but still enjoyable.
We didn't have desert as we were full.
Service was good and friendly.

Did someone say tequila? They have a whole menu of it! Short menu but they really do a great job they know what they do well and stick to it! Very enjoyable evening. Delightful staff, food, drinks and vibe!

We ordered a few dishes and drinks. Apart from tacos, we were satisfied with the food and service. I guess they changed the brand of their tacos as it wasn’t very crispy as I experienced before:( For me, it’s still one of the best Mexican for restaurants in London. Hope they will consider my opinion about tacos. In the meantime, their espresso martini was so good😊

Second time eating here- perfect as usual! Alessandra was a diamond !!!! Amazing service, food came swiftly and so many sauces to make the dishes complete. I personally loved the corn tortillas with the pork - could eat all day. The staff made an extra special birthday song for my boyfriend and free CHURROS! I said I didn’t want dessert BUT those were too good to leave behind! Even though it was very busy, you could see every staff member working their best, cleaning tables and looking attentively if any guests needed assistance. Even the music was also great. Can’t wait got my next meal 🫶🏽

Very impressive. This restaurant gives you a romantic vibe with gorgeous and elegant decorations. The staff is very professional and the service is awesome. I had the lunch weekday set which is really good. Personally the starter is okay but I love the main and the truffle mash potato. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone.

My husband and I visited Clos Maggiore yesterday for a late celebration of our 22nd anniversary, and it was nothing short of perfection! This was our second time dining at this gem of a restaurant, and once again, it exceeded all our expectations.
From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was enchanting. The intimate, romantic setting, especially under the stunning conservatory with twinkling lights, made the evening feel so special. The service was impeccable—attentive, warm, and professional without ever being intrusive.
And the food? Absolutely divine. Every dish was a work of art, from presentation to taste. Each bite was a testament to the chef’s skill, with bold flavors and perfectly balanced textures. The attention to detail was remarkable, and it truly made the evening unforgettable.
Thank you, Clos Maggiore, for making our celebration so memorable. We can’t wait to return again for another special occasion!

Lovely Christmas lunch for the team, went down really well.
Have to say the Venison which I ordered for my main came out perfect, very soft and tender.
Went with the virgin Bellini's, very tasty so ordered another round. Followed by the non alcoholic wine, again really good while in my keep healthy mode!
Our seat in the conservatory was perfect to give us the full Christmas lunch experience, even warmed up by the fireplace right next to us.
Looking forward to trying an evening meal here to see how the ambience differs.

They do a really pretty lunch set menu, at an extremely reasonable price point. For what it's worth, especially if you're able to get a seat at the Conservatory space area, you'll have a really pretty dining experience against the backdrop of an actual fireplace and flowers strewn across the entire ceiling.
Their weekday set lunch comes with a glass of bubbles, and 3 courses. For 35 GBP, it's extremely worth the reservation. Got myself a classic terrine, a slow cooked belly of pork, and their signature apple crumble tart.
With the service considered, against such an attractive price point, there's honestly nothing much to complain about. One thing though: make sure you make reservations earlier, as they get booked out quite quickly.

I found this place by searching for "most romantic restaurants" for celebrating our 1st anniversary with my wife. It's definitely a very romantic restaurant and I'm so glad I chose it for such a special anniversary. I had made a reservation long before and stated that I wanted to get a good table, and the table given to us was one of the best tables in the restaurant. The atmosphere in the restaurant was truly incredible, the food was of high quality and the service was impeccable. The grilled chicken was especially delicious. Our waiter (I don't know his name but he was gentleman with glasses) was very helpful and friendly. After asking for the check, we waited a bit too long for it but it wasn't a big problem. Thank you for this nice dinner 😊

I recently visited this fantastic restaurant in London, and it exceeded all my expectations. The customer service was outstanding; our server was not only knowledgeable but also went above and beyond to help me choose gluten-free dishes with a touch of humor that made the experience even more enjoyable. And the food—truly incredible! Every dish was flavorful and beautifully presented; it’s honestly some of the best I’ve ever had. I can’t wait to go back. After hearing so much about the Dishoom the time we were in London, we decided to go, having turned up the queue was down the length of the building however there was a member of staff walking down the line informing you how long your wait would be also booking you in if you required, we had been told a table for two would be approximately 45 minutes, however within 30 minutes we was seated, the staff, atmosphere and ambience of the restaurant cannot be faulted, the drinks arrived within five minutes and about 15 minutes later our food started to arrive. The flavours were amazing and every plate we tried we couldn’t find fault with, the cocktails are a little bit pricey but well worth a try.

Super cool place to go with a bunch of people to drink, eat , watch sports on the large screens , listen to live bands(when available ) and have loads of fun.
The atmosphere is very Irish ☘️ Steampunk with multi-levels filled with couches, sitting areas, dark intimate corners and long wide tables for loud/merry groups.
They also have a beautiful energetic patio.
The food is good and the drinks are great!
I personally enjoy their fish & chips.(my opinion)
The staff is really nice, welcoming and friendly which elevates the experience for the customers.
The location is also perfect, right in the heart of Covent Gardens area and close to all the theaters venues.
GOOD JOB !! 👏🏻

Very busy on a Thursday night in dec-24. Great location in the Covernt Garden theater area. Still, both service and food could and should be much better in the dedicated dinning room. Waitress forgot half our order, waiting was too long for comfort and food quality and presentation was lacking severe qulity
