5 Star Rating I really enjoyed my stay there, I would definitely come back. The grand, well looked after entrance and hallway set the tone for the rest of the stay. My room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The bar had a cool ‚secret cocktail bar’ ambience. And the restaurant was exceptional! I had a three course meal and everything was so fresh, perfectly cooked and super tasty. In addition, every staff member I interacted with was friendly and happy to help. What a great hotel.

5 Star Rating What can I say, this is a must do place to stay. Wonderful staff from the front desk, concierge, dining, bar, housekeeping, and Starbucks. Everyone wanted to ensure our stay was perfect. Concierge not only gave great suggestions for local places to check out, but arranged our pick up and transfer to the airport. Wait staff in the bar/restaurant were attentive, without being intrusive, and Tonya at Starbucks was simply Marvelous. The location is a great starting point for adventures throughout London. If you want a place where your needs are met, historic and enchanting you need to pay a visit and stay a while. It truly is magical in all its holiday splendor.

5 Star Rating A wonderful building, staff were amazing. Breakfast was great. Rooms were very tidy, very comfortable. Shower was one of the best I've ever experienced in a hotel. A great hotel by any standards. The building is jaw dropping at times on the inside. But .. External sounds were penetrating into the room. From AC units to the subway trains and the people on the street. However, I can't complain... I slept like a log. So just goes to show how the body adapts. Lastly, the TV channels didn't work but I wasn't there to watch TV so it didn't bother me. Just something to bear in mind. Overall I'd definitely stay again.

5 Star Rating We had a lovely hotel room here. We opted for the Deluxe Double and had a good amount of space. The view wasnt great but we were on a side that overlooked another building. If your room was at the front then you'd have a great view. We were surprised by how quiet it was. We didn't hear anything outside despite it's busy location, and I don't know if we had any neighbours but we did not hear them! Breakfast was included for us which included a buffet style English breakfast, but continental options and many more were also available as part of the price. We booked on the day, having tracked the prices in the build up and it saved us a good chunk of money! Overall a great experience!

5 Star Rating The location of this hotel was excellent for everything we wanted to see. It is right off of Trafalgar Square so we were able to walk to Westminster Abbey, Parliament and Big Ben, and Buckingham palace very easily. We also didn't mind the walk to Tower of London and Hyde park, but could have easily taken public transportation as well. The bed was very comfortable and the restaurant has a beautiful breakfast room. We would absolutely stay here again!

4 Star Rating I have used this restaurant often. 5 star review for the team. However, two very terrible ladies, both from India have us our first unacceptable Experience on July 7, 2024. The poor treatment we got from the ladies was received from the two bartenders on duty between 12:15-12:20 AM on July 7, 2024. This incident occurred at the Boyd restaurant and bar, which is situated within Club Quarters. As we approached the bar, one of the bartenders, a lady, began shaking her head and smiling while informing us that the bar was closed. This was done in a dismissive manner that felt both unprofessional and disrespectful. To make matters worse, she then proceeded to walk away, leaving her colleague behind who openly laughed at us. I typically refrain from leaving negative reviews, but this experience was particularly upsetting. The dismissive and unprofessional behavior displayed by these two individuals is unacceptable and does not align with the standards I have come to expect from your establishment. Their conduct not only tarnished our evening but also left us with a very negative impression of the restaurant and bar. It is crucial that such staff members do not continue to represent your organization, as their behavior could severely impact the reputation of both the restaurant and the hotel. Based on this experience, I regret to say that I will not be returning to the restaurant, and this incident may also affect my continued patronage of the hotel which houses Boyd.

4 Star Rating Great stop after a log day of sightseeing. The steak and Ale pie and fish n chips were great. You order drinks at the bar, and there was a good selection. The pub was full of football fans watching the World Cup games. Typical festive pub atmosphere. It was a bit of a wait for the food, but they were very busy.

3 Star Rating Nice pub at a nice location. The food and the house beer need some improvement though. I ordered nachos but it wasn’t close to being a proper nachos plate. There was no guacamole, instead it was big chunks of avocado. Salsa tasted wrong. Cheese wasn’t enough. The spicy flavour was from chips itself not the pepper - there was no pepper. Smashed potatoes could be better with a different presentation. Fries were ok. BLT was ok, nothing special though. That applies to the house beer as well. The atmosphere is good. It makes you thirsty :) The staff is friendly but for some reason some seemed in between rush and panic. I have also seen an apparently senior server roasting another server quietly but in the middle of the tables. This was not nice. They show PL games and F1 races which is great. Thanks!

5 Star Rating We were very happy with our stay at the Thistle. We arrived early before check-in, hoping to leave a bag while we went out to explore, but were told our room was all ready and we could get in early, which was a lovely surprise. The room it self was comfortable and clean. The location was an easy walk to many of the areas we planned on visiting (West End, Chinatown, Leicester Square, Trafalgar Square, The National Gallery, St. James Park, Soho, etc.) The room was fairly quiet at night, considering we were only a few blocks from a busy area. As an added bonus, the room came with water bottles, coffee, tea and biscuits that were refreshed daily. I would definitely recommend the Thistle in Trafalgar Square.

3 Star Rating We stayed here for our family vacation to London. This is a great location, and within mins of everything. Very convenient walking distance to major entertainment and food options. The staff here are amazing and helpful. The place is very clean and our entire room was full windows and views! Now, the only issue I had was the bathroom. Fixtures were loose, I needed to tighten the shower head myself. Some of the tiles were cracked, the toilet seat was loose, and the toilet paper holder fell off the wall. The worst part was that shower controls were very loose and hard to get a temperature every use. Other than that, the bed was very comfortable, we had a lot of closet space and a mini fridge in our room. Across the street, there are amazing options for a quick breakfast, too. And one block up, you will find many options for dining and entertainment.

5 Star Rating Incredible customer service! We checked into our room and found that it was a wheelchair accessible room, the AC was not working and it had a strong odor of glue from the renovations. We spoke with the front desk and although they had no rooms to switch us to, the manager arranged for us to go to their sister hotel (only a block away), he walked us down to the room himself to have us check and see if it was satisfactory, then helped us switch over (even offered to help personally with luggage). He arranged for us to have our breakfast for free and sent up a bottle of champagne to our new room. Absolutely fantastic customer service!

2 Star Rating Great location for where we were going. The room, however, was very disappointing. The bathroom door was hanging off its hinges and the window sills between the double glazing were absolutely filthy. Additionally, the milk supplied in the room was out of date and curdled in drinks. The staff refused to let us buy coffee upon arrival after a show, saying the machine was switched off.

Powerful and refreshing. This hotel is between trafalgar sq and Leicester sq every major attraction is within walking distance. All staff were helpful friendly and professional ,but I have to mention Cyril was extra special, he was friendly ,helping with a ramp for a wheelchair , and welcoming our 90year old motherinlaw.cyril was at breakfast helping every guests needs ,he us a real asset to the hotel. 4 Star Rating This is a busy pub close to Trafalgar Square. I was here at 4.30pm on a Tuesday and the atmosphere was good. I had a double Craggenmore at £9.40, taking advantage of the double up for £3 offer (a single is £6.40). This is a very popular pub with tourist giving it a very cosmopolitan atmosphere. During the day a large part of the pub is brightly lit due to the large windows on two sides. At night it has a more intimate feel. I was here on a cold day and the pub was quite chilly, due mainly to the fact that the main doors were open. Despite the cold there was a lot of people drinking outside. They do serve food and have a large upstairs dining room. There is also a small museum dedicated to Sherlock Holmes. The service was okay. In summary, an OK pub in a great location.

4 Star Rating Lovely quirky pub with good range table sizes. They do do food but I didn't look at the menu. Drinks are about average price for that area of London. Good quiet spots to read your book and enjoy your pint. Service wasn't great. Asked which Stouts and Porters were on and got a blank look - just ordered a Guinness as that's all I could see. I suspect there were some real ales but perhaps not dark ones? Either way the bar keep didn't seem to know what I was asking for which isn't the best for a real ale pub.

4 Star Rating This is a very popular pub with real ale drinkers, evidenced by the 10 cask beers and the hundreds of beer mats above the bar. It is a narrow pub with additional seating upstairs. Being near to both Covent Garden and Soho it is ideally located. I was here at 4pm on a Monday afternoon and it was quite busy. There is a designated standing area out back but many drinkers preferred to drink in the street out front. The toilets are upstairs and accessed by a steep, narrow staircase that could prove problematic for the less mobile.

5 Star Rating Dinner here a number times previously. This time it was election night. Had cocktails in adjacent bar prior to dinner, table for three. Had the dinner three course- great value. Cocktails are very good - standard London hotel price of £20. Dinner was well priced:2 courses for £39 and three for £45. Food was generally above average to good. The green pea volute was very nice as was the lamb cutlet albeit the portion for the lamb was tiny. Desert of strawberry and lemon Millefeuille was good too- beautifully presented. Service was very good . All in all a very pleasant night with good option for food and great cocktails. Previous review: A quiet Wednesday evening for them. Excellent from Start to finish. We had an amazing sommelier called Selina who was engaging and wonderful to talk to about her knowledge of wine. The ceviche starter was good as was the chicken mains .both presented beautifully. Desert of gateau was also very good. Had the most amazing wines- the amarone and the pipparello. Will be back next month when the set dinner menu changes.

4 Star Rating Recently I enjoyed some delicious pizza and bruschetta, and I must say, both were outstanding! The pizza was perfectly baked, featuring a wonderfully crispy crust topped with fresh ingredients that burst with flavor in every bite. The presentation was stunning, with vibrant colors that made it almost too beautiful to eat! The bruschetta was equally impressive, with toasted bread generously topped with a savory mix of ripe tomatoes, aromatic basil, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze. It was a delightful appetizer that set the tone for a fantastic meal. Overall, both dishes were a feast for the senses, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a delicious dining experience!
