★★★★★ Perfect Stay – Exceeded Expectations!
From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. The staff was warm and welcoming, the room was spotless and beautifully decorated, and the amenities were top-notch. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we loved the little thoughtful touches throughout our stay. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of options. The location was perfect for exploring, and we can't wait to return. Highly recommend!

We really loved this hotel. It is such a beautiful building , inside and out. It is centrally located to everything. Walking distance to train stations and to attractions. The only downside was that we wished we had a suite with a separate room, there was 3 of us staying. But other than that everything was great, the staff the cleanliness, etc.

First visit to London and would stay here again for a second visit. Tube station on site makes it easy to get around the city. Close to wonderful theatre, famous London sites and dining.
Staff was wonderful and the room great.
Extra bonus. Stocked refrigerator with alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks and snacks replenished daily at no charge.

Really impressed with this central London hotel. We walked in the door and our daughter was immediately given a teddy. Such a nice touch, not to mention the complimentary mini bar and snacks in our room. Service was excellent, the hotel is nice and clean. It’s in a good central location close to Leicester sq etc. would definitely stay here again. The only small criticism was that the room was a bit tired, the shower head for example had some lime scale, carpet was dirty and there was a little bit of a funny smell. But maybe because the smell outside the room was divine. We asked for some room spray and the hotel staff were very accommodating. We also got given a free drink at the bar. Overall, my partner and I were both very impressed. We stay in London fairly regularly and would come again.

A Delightful Afternoon Tea Experience!
We had the most wonderful afternoon tea experience! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and seated in a beautifully elegant setting. The attention to detail in the table arrangement, fine china, and cozy ambiance made for a truly special afternoon.
The service was impeccable—attentive without being intrusive, and every request was met with a warm smile. It was clear that great care was taken to ensure every guest had a memorable experience.
Overall, our afternoon tea was an absolute delight. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply indulging in a moment of relaxation, this is a must-visit. This is our 2nd visit and will definitely be returning soon.

We loved it at Boyd’s!! Had a pre-theatre dinner and bottle of wine. It’s so nice and quiet / spacious in the restaurant, the server was really attentive and friendly, the food was amazing!! (Had a salmon trio, sausage and mash and the cheesecake). All so delicious and homey/very filling. Would highly recommend!

We visited here after the theatre. Food was nice nit many people in when we were there so not much of an atmosphere. Staff were very courteous. To go to loo we had to get someone to sort the lift as hotel so not anybody could go up we had to have assistance. Overall experience was OK.

Really enjoyed the meal here in a comfortable and contemporary yet still period feeling venue. Cocktails were great but a slightly limited selection. The food had great portions and was perfect in every way and the waiter was friendly and offered great menu advice.

Ate here on 11th Jan 24 evening, service was fine, not many diners for a Saturday so quite quiet, but meat was poor. We have a rib-eye steak and lamb chop, both were tough and the steak was very chewy. Not good sorry, and not good value for money.

Lovely place to go for a meal and a drink. The food was delicious and the atmosphere is great too. The staff is very helpful and the place is never very full so it's great if you don't know where to go but want a good meal. They have a great wine selection too. I see a lot of people having dinner here before going to see a show. Highly recommended

Nice pub at a nice location. The food and the house beer need some improvement though.
I ordered nachos but it wasn’t close to being a proper nachos plate. There was no guacamole, instead it was big chunks of avocado. Salsa tasted wrong. Cheese wasn’t enough. The spicy flavour was from chips itself not the pepper - there was no pepper.
Smashed potatoes could be better with a different presentation.
Fries were ok.
BLT was ok, nothing special though. That applies to the house beer as well.
The atmosphere is good. It makes you thirsty :)
The staff is friendly but for some reason some seemed in between rush and panic. I have also seen an apparently senior server roasting another server quietly but in the middle of the tables. This was not nice.
They show PL games and F1 races which is great.
Thanks!

Great stop after a log day of sightseeing. The steak and Ale pie and fish n chips were great. You order drinks at the bar, and there was a good selection. The pub was full of football fans watching the World Cup games. Typical festive pub atmosphere. It was a bit of a wait for the food, but they were very busy.

Stayed at the hotel during the NYE period and have everything good to say about it. Joao and Olivia were extremely helpful to ensure our room was as per what we booked, and gave us tips on how to avoid the crowd during the NYE countdown. They were extremely helpful, and were willing to go out of the way at all times to ensure our stay was pleasant. Would definitely come back. Thank you for making our stay amazing! Keep the good job up!

We were very happy with our stay at the Thistle. We arrived early before check-in, hoping to leave a bag while we went out to explore, but were told our room was all ready and we could get in early, which was a lovely surprise. The room it self was comfortable and clean. The location was an easy walk to many of the areas we planned on visiting (West End, Chinatown, Leicester Square, Trafalgar Square, The National Gallery, St. James Park, Soho, etc.)
The room was fairly quiet at night, considering we were only a few blocks from a busy area. As an added bonus, the room came with water bottles, coffee, tea and biscuits that were refreshed daily. I would definitely recommend the Thistle in Trafalgar Square.

We stayed here for our family vacation to London. This is a great location, and within mins of everything. Very convenient walking distance to major entertainment and food options. The staff here are amazing and helpful. The place is very clean and our entire room was full windows and views! Now, the only issue I had was the bathroom. Fixtures were loose, I needed to tighten the shower head myself. Some of the tiles were cracked, the toilet seat was loose, and the toilet paper holder fell off the wall. The worst part was that shower controls were very loose and hard to get a temperature every use. Other than that, the bed was very comfortable, we had a lot of closet space and a mini fridge in our room. Across the street, there are amazing options for a quick breakfast, too. And one block up, you will find many options for dining and entertainment.

Hotel is fine- room was clean ish and bed very comfy and very big. Location is everything and the reason for the price tag- far from luxury- and the walls are pretty thin- you can hear people talking straight through the walls.

This is a busy pub close to Trafalgar Square. I was here at 4.30pm on a Tuesday and the atmosphere was good. I had a double Craggenmore at £9.40, taking advantage of the double up for £3 offer (a single is £6.40). This is a very popular pub with tourist giving it a very cosmopolitan atmosphere. During the day a large part of the pub is brightly lit due to the large windows on two sides. At night it has a more intimate feel. I was here on a cold day and the pub was quite chilly, due mainly to the fact that the main doors were open. Despite the cold there was a lot of people drinking outside. They do serve food and have a large upstairs dining room. There is also a small museum dedicated to Sherlock Holmes. The service was okay. In summary, an OK pub in a great location.

I had the opportunity to visit this beautiful and educational place while I was in London on a layover. The waitress was very kind, the food was delicious, and the drinks were refreshing. I was able to sit upstairs by the Sherlock Holmes room which I thought was absolutely amazing. I truly enjoyed myself however, I hope next time they'll have some souvenirs available.

Charming pub with a story to tell. I always love it when there’s a theme.
The memorabilia inside the exhibition room are incredible. I can understand why this place attracts many tourists.
Quality food and pints make of this a lovely place to grab a bite while out and about.

My boyfriend insisted on us seeing this pub and it definitely lived up to the hype. Really cool history throughout while maintaining a fun casual vibe. Although the outside looks busy it’s still very easy to get a drink.

The ship & Shovel is a must.
Present on a Friday evening at 7:00pm.
There is not a singular structure housing the pub. You shall see when you get here but both sides are a vibe, you just have to dive in and select your destination. The right or the left, are you feeling like the right piece of grilled cheese or the left piece? Divided down the middle by the bar buddies congregating in the Craven Passage, here you will find a delicious lager: the Ship & Shovel: hells lager. After drinking a Crisp, clean, light-bodied, hint of lemony lager you become immersed in the British pub culture surrounded by accents, beer and friendly banter. Highly recommend, cheers to your first pint!

Great little pub. Managed to get a seat and had a couple of drinks. The atmosphere was good and drinks resonably priced for London. Lots of choice and room to stand out the front
Beth Hill - 3 weeks ago
This is a small, quaint pub, it only has seating for around 24 people. It has a lot of wood panelling and a dark, tile red ceiling that gives it a cosy feel. The barman was excellent and I opted for a Badgers Fursty Ferret ale at £6.30. They had three cask beers and their selection of spirits was very limited, due to the small bar area. The toilets are in the basement and are accessed by a steep staircase (beware the low ceiling halfway down the stairs). This pub is rather unique, it certainly has to be one of the smallest in central London. For that reason alone it is worth a visit.

This is a very popular pub with real ale drinkers, evidenced by the 10 cask beers and the hundreds of beer mats above the bar. It is a narrow pub with additional seating upstairs. Being near to both Covent Garden and Soho it is ideally located. I was here at 4pm on a Monday afternoon and it was quite busy. There is a designated standing area out back but many drinkers preferred to drink in the street out front. The toilets are upstairs and accessed by a steep, narrow staircase that could prove problematic for the less mobile.

Fabulous pub with a marvellous range of well kept cask beer. Had the Marble Stout myself. Busy every time I've been in here regardless of the time of day. A central London institution. No children allowed. Additional seating upstairs if it is rammed downstairs.

Situated in the luxurious Corinthia Hotel in Westminster, this place did not disappoint from the moment we walked in. The decor, lighting, table setting and general ambience especially after dark spells class. Service was fantastic and their seasonal menu was good too. If you are in the mood, head over to the bar next to the restaurant for great live band and cocktails to end the evening.

Exceptional food complimented with exceptional service. We dined on the first day of their new set menu for the festive period, which contained a great selection to choose from for each course. The atmosphere is not too bright and not too dark, it has a perfect warm ambience, a great setting for dinner. The staff were attentive and the food delivery timings were perfect.

Our meal here was absolutely stunning and the service was phenomenal. We came to celebrate our wedding anniversary and did not leave disappointed! We tried the house cured salmon, the ricotta and pine nut ravioli, the pork tenderloin, and the veal, as well as some wine. Everything was exceptional, from the sourdough that came out with an artichoke cream and decadent salted butter, all the way through the mains and the dessert selections offered. There was a small hiccup with the side not arriving with our mains (which wasn’t an issue to begin with.) and our server removed the charge without even being asked. I would return here in a heartbeat and wish to thank all of the staff for making our first meal in London and our wedding anniversary special, and certainly a meal to remember!

I have been looking forward to dining at PizzaExpress again for a long time. I was especially excited to enjoy their gluten-free Dough Balls once more. The food was absolutely fantastic, service was amazing and the restaurant provided a nice, peaceful atmosphere to relax and enjoy the meal. It can get a bit crowded at times, but it’s not a major issue. Thank you for another pleasant experience and delicious food:-)

We experienced a rude welcome. The waitress exudes negative energy. She is unfriendly and not cheerful. The menu looks appealing, but the pizzas are not good. I’m attaching a photo. The glasses are dirty. I wouldn’t come again and wouldn’t recommend it.

Great pizza and excellent service, though there was a bit of a wait. The only downside was a loud alarm ringing throughout the visit—not the restaurant’s fault, but it did affect the dining experience. Otherwise, a great spot overall.

Had a good time there today considering i went without a reservation on a Sunday at 7 pm. The host was lovely and our server was a polite blonde boy who I believe was named either San or Sam, he was great but clearly very stressed out and needed a break but he was busy with the other tables as the restaurant was full. The food didn't take long to come out, we got the margarita pizza, mac & cheese and crispy potatoes. The potatoes were cold but they replaced them for us as soon as we asked but everything else was great! The pizza and mac & cheese were hot and delicious and the potatoes came with a delightful marinara sauce. The atmosphere of the place was amazing and the staff were all helping each other out which was very nice. I just wished we went in on a less busy day because i know the service would've even better then, if you're in London i'd recommend a visit to it. As for the prices, i included a photo of the check.

Recently I enjoyed some delicious pizza and bruschetta, and I must say, both were outstanding! The pizza was perfectly baked, featuring a wonderfully crispy crust topped with fresh ingredients that burst with flavor in every bite. The presentation was stunning, with vibrant colors that made it almost too beautiful to eat!
The bruschetta was equally impressive, with toasted bread generously topped with a savory mix of ripe tomatoes, aromatic basil, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze. It was a delightful appetizer that set the tone for a fantastic meal. Overall, both dishes were a feast for the senses, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a delicious dining experience!
