3 Star Rating Perfectly adequate pizza. Only had two cask ales. The first one I picked was off. Staff weren’t on top form. Atmosphere a little lacking. Everything just felt a little off. Adequate, but not quite right. A shame. Seems like a cool space. Perhaps it was an off night. Hopefully.

5 Star Rating **An Absolute Gem: The Lansdowne Pub in Primrose Hill** If you’re looking for a perfect pub experience in Primrose Hill, **The Lansdowne** is, without question, *the place to be*. From the moment you step through the door, there’s an unmistakable warmth that hits you — the bustling atmosphere, the charm of the interior, and most importantly, the absolutely stellar staff who bring their A-game every single day. Despite being a large, open bar, **The Lansdowne** manages to feel wonderfully snug and inviting, thanks to thoughtful touches like the **real log fire** crackling away and the **heavy door curtain** that keeps the chill firmly outside. It’s the kind of place that instantly makes you feel at home, whether you’re escaping the cold or simply unwinding after a long day. The team here are a shining example of how exceptional hospitality should be done. Friendly, professional, and so switched on, they make every visit a real treat. They’ve mastered that rare balance of being attentive without hovering and seem to anticipate exactly what you need — whether it’s a perfectly pulled pint delivered with a smile to your table or a recommendation from the **brilliant menu**. Compared to certain other establishments (*only a few hundred yards away*), where the staff can seem disinterested, clueless, or simply lazy, **The Lansdowne** feels like a breath of fresh air. It’s clear this team genuinely care about their customers and take pride in creating an experience that’s second to none. The food? **Top-notch.** The drinks? **Always on point** (wine list +++). The atmosphere? **Electric, without being overwhelming.** Whether you’re stopping in for a quick drink, a leisurely Sunday lunch, or a lively evening with friends, **The Lansdowne** always delivers. It’s a masterclass in how a pub should be run. Do yourself a favour and pay them a visit — you’ll leave with a full stomach and a renewed faith in great service. My only gripe? Charging for a quick squirt of soda in a white wine spritz… just a niggle. **Five stars all day long.** 🌟🔥

5 Star Rating I'm in London to visit friends, but had a day to myself. Because it was Sunday, I was searching for places that served a Sunday roast. So I walked a few miles to this place, through the pulsating Camden. I ended up in this nice and quiet area, at this extremely cozy place, which was neatly decorated for Christmas, and Christmas music playing, adding to the experience in a good way! At the bar, I was met by this lovely woman who showed me to my table. I need to specifically highlight her, as she showed me what great service is. It didn't take long for my roast and beer to arrive. As I dug in, I just started smiling. The food was so good, packed with flavor, some crunch from the vegetables. The carrot and potatoes were perfectly done. And the beer complimented it all really well. I LOVE doing random things like this, and everyone else going here after me, will not walk away disappointed. Thank you for having me!

4 Star Rating We went for a pre booked Sunday roast lunch. It is our local pub, and the actual food, service and atmosphere were really good. Food was great, chicken roast with vegetables and a pud in a nice rich gravy sauce, service was friendly and good enough, it’s a pub not Michelin starred establishment, as well as the overall Sunday roast atmosphere, with that chaotic but alive buzz…

5 Star Rating I popped by the Pembroke Castle recently before I went to a gig at the Camden roundhouse. It’s a lovely beautiful old pub, with friendly staff and a wide selection of drinks. They had launched the new menu this week, and I’m not usually one to take pictures of my food but the glazed pork belly was delicious, and my partner had the lamb shank Shepard’s Pie which went down a treat. We will definitely be visiting again soon! Thank you!

3 Star Rating Came on a busy Saturday afternoon. Had the sharing platter which was basic but satisfying a pint. The crowd at the time was a nice mix of families and younger people. A nice change of pace if you don't want to go into the deep end of Camden market. The beer garden is cozy but well decorated and places together. We wanted to try the picnic menu but it has to be booked 2 days in advance so keep that in mind. Otherwise, we were satisfied with what we ordered and the staff were friendly

5 Star Rating The Pembroke is easily my favourite pub in Primrose Hill. The staff are really friendly and always greet you with a smile, and work well together as a team. There is a great selection of beers and ales on tap, along with a wide variety of spirits. The food is lovely and I particularly recommend the pies - both the steak and venison and chicken and pancetta pies are delicious. The beer garden is a great sun spot and they welcome dogs. I would recommend this pub to anyone visiting the area. Keep up all the great work Pembroke Team

5 Star Rating A large group of us went for Sunday dinner, and everyone really enjoyed their food and drinks. Good portion sizes and everything was well seasoned and flavoursome. Four of us went for the St Lucian platter, and had some Mac & cheese on the side. The jerk ribs, mutton and wings were my personal favourites - but everything on the platter tasted good! So definitely recommend it. Also great service from Tschaka - thanks so much for looking after us. We had a good time.

A few in our group didn’t turn up so I asked to box up for the homeless. I was told this is something they always do. Which give extra stars for me!

3 Star Rating This is your standard affair Nando's in the busy Camden streets. It is close to Camden market and will provide the usual reasonable price for food compared to other establishments. This Nando's is a little small in size and can get busy quite quickly. The staff are a little slow and food can take a little long to arrive at busy periods. However, the staff are friendly and considering everything it is fine.

4 Star Rating Lovely little place with delicious food and friendly service. It drops a star for the eye watering prices… a small burger with NO chops and a beer came to £24! How about £4.99 for the slider and £9.99 for a burger? I was also confused as to why the cheaper Slider was not available when there was no mention of this on the menu? Overall, very nice food but not for those on a budget.

5 Star Rating Really awesome place. Staff came to greet and are very talkative and facilitating. Ensured I have been served well and went the extra mile to make sure I was having a great meal. Owner greets and has a nice chat with all the visitors, very personable service. The burger meat is of very high quality and presentation of my truffle oil fries was good. Milkshake was pretty nice too and they serve a peculiar east London beer called E1 Brew Co IPA. Overall great vibe and very clean! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a pick me up in the area! Better than all the chains and personable service is always the key to building communities. Very impressed and will be visiting again for afternoon tea!

5 Star Rating We purchased a wowcher for this little gem in chalkfarm. We arrived just as the bar was opening. We was greeted by Andrew, who showed us to our table and immediately offered us a 🍺!! Which was brilliant as we thought we would be having bottomless prosecco!! Turned out we could have bottomless beer!!! Andrew went through what our options were with our wowcher. We decided to order 6 different types so we could share them. I must say these burgers 🍔 were absolutely gorgeous! We also got to pick which sweet we wanted with our afternoon tea. The venue itself was having a face-lift so was a little busy and up the wall. However we wasn't put off by this as we had a look around and spoke to the live music manager. It looks like it's going to be a fabulous place and we are looking forward to returning on our next trip to Camden ❤️

5 Star Rating Me and my mum went down to London for a city break at the beginning of July and have to say the experience we had at Bite Me Burger was one of the major highlights of our trip! It was our first visit and we had booked the afternoon tea groupon with free flowing Prosecco! Firstly the food was excellent! We had a fantastic range of mini burgers to choose from and was offered a discount if we wanted to add extras. The burgers were cooked to perfection, were full of flavour and despite their smaller (rather cute) size, were actually quite filling! We loved how with the mini burgers you are able to try a range of different types such as chicken, beef or fish and you are not just limited to one style. I believe they also have a vegetarian option too. Our cakes were delicious and fresh with the novelty of some being shaped like a burger, one having a small hotdog made from icing on top and a recently new addition to the menu of a Kinda Bueno style cupcake which, were all gorgeous! We also added a truffle fries to our afternoon tea which, was a lavish portion size and was served piping hot! Of course the food was so good we had a second round of mini burgers that subsequently completely filled us up. The fabulous and also quite unique food is undoubtedly one enormous selling point for this lovely little independent restaurant in the heart of Camden but, what really made this special for us, was the incredible customer service we received from Andrew the owner. He could not have been more friendly, welcoming and helpful if he tried! After rushing around all week trying to fit lots in, what we really needed was somewhere nice to enjoy/relax and Andrew instantly makes you feel at ease. You can literally have a conversation with him like you’ve known him years. He was also very generous with the free flowing Prosecco and as soon as he saw our glasses were empty. He was straight over to top them up, always with a smile and super up beat attitude! Once the allotted time for the Prosecco had come to an end, we were also given the option to buy the remainder of the bottle for a discounted price which, was certainly an offer we couldn’t refuse. We definitely feel it’s quite rare to find a restaurant that offers so many personal touches as Bite Me Burger or find owners that put in as much care, effort and dedication to their customers as Andrew did for us! We personally whole heartedly recommend paying this little gem a visit and will definitely be returning in the future when we are back down in London! Thank you for making our trip and visit so wonderful!

3 Star Rating After hearing glowing recommendations from my family, who have been frequenting this place for the past five years, I had high expectations. Unfortunately, my visit today left me feeling quite disappointed. The burgers were overly salty, the chips were average at best, and the prices were steep for what was offered. While the food was decent enough to eat and the service was good, the quality didn’t justify the high cost. If the prices were more reasonable, it could be considered a decent spot for a meal. My family, who have always loved this place, even gave feedback to the staff, noting that the standards have noticeably dropped. What was once a favorite spot in Camden now feels like it has lost its charm. Sadly, it’s nothing special anymore.

5 Star Rating I recently had the pleasure of dining at Burger UK on Ferdinand Street in Camden, and it was an absolute delight. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with friendly smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. The star of the show, of course, was their burgers. The Smashed Burger was a true masterpiece, with a perfectly seared patty that was bursting with flavor. The toppings were fresh and complemented the burger wonderfully. I also tried their Chicken Burger, and it was equally impressive – tender, juicy, and seasoned just right. The chicken tenders were a pleasant surprise; crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, they made for a great side dish. The service was top-notch, with the staff being attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The ambiance was relaxed, making it a great spot for a casual meal with friends or family. I highly recommend Burger UK on Ferdinand Street if you’re in the mood for some mouthwatering burgers in Camden. It’s a hidden gem that deserves more recognition. I’ll definitely be returning for more burger bliss!

4 Star Rating A fairly decent Thai restaurant. The food is certainly a westernised version of Thai food reminiscent of many Thai restaurants up and down the country and often attached to pubs. Menu has a wide variety of dishes. Service from the young waitress seemed a little haphazard, bringing out the wrong dish and saying ‘but this is what you ordered’ but eventually bringing us the correct dish.

4 Star Rating Very local for me it's a classic London vintage Thai restaurant. Service is very quick. I nearly always order Tom Yum (Goong) or Som Tum (very fresh and crispy). Pad Graprao dishes are a bit too sweet for me but maybe popular that way. They happily supply me with sliced fresh chilli in light fish sauce to adjust the spiciness upwards. Plain steamed rice to soak up soup or spicy juices. I've not yet tested any of the curries I'm afraid. Unlike some here I found helpings were ample and it's reasonably priced for London.

A prawn pad thai had 4 prawns and a tofu and cashew dish had 5 bits of soggy tofu and 6 nuts. No condiments on the table and service about as mediocre as the food. I wont be heading back. For the money I can eat at many places much better.

5 Star Rating First time trying this place after a quick search on google for Thai food in the area. I actually selected this place over another Thai restaurant just because of the tasty looking food pics from some previous diners and the clean authentic decor! Quick on the spot decisions! So I am really surprised when reading some of the reviews about the “rude lady” and mediocre food! Mine and my sister’s experience was a very different and pleasant one! We was first approached by a friendly waitress with limited English (Bless her!). I enquired about a dish but she had difficulty understanding but another lady came swiftly to assist (I assume this is the ‘rude lady’ that a few have mentioned). Assuming she is the owner, she answered my question and told me that the dish I was looking for is not served the same way in the restaurant, but she was very accommodating and added the extra ingredients to my dish (an fried egg on top! Easy on the spice!) to make it how I wanted it - although this may not have costed her a arm and a leg, it was very nice gesture to offer this complimentary as she didn’t have to. We ordered a starter mixed plate along with a couple of duck dishes with coconut rice which was divine! I tried the Thai ice tea which was made to perfection! Very yummy indeed! Throughout the meal, both waitresses came over to check that we were ok. I would say that the food was fresh, portions generous (I couldn’t even finish my main dish) and came quickly. We even had a nice chat with the owner lady about Thailand and recommendations on where to travel next! I honestly left the restaurant feeling really catered to and actually said to my sis “The lady is very nice! Food was nice too!” I will be visiting again! Had I read the reviews prior to heading to this restaurant, they might have put me off but I’m glad I didn’t and actually got to experience it myself with a very pleasant outcome!

5 Star Rating Could this be one of the top entirely vegan restaurants in London based solely on taste alone?! In summary: yes! Surreptitiously exposed on a block corner facing a main road to Camden Town, Power Plant is a surprising eatery. It's a classic mix of bar and restaurant, with a little more emphasis on the former than the latter. You'll have the choice of eating al fresco in front of the aforementioned main road, or within the dive bar-like dark ambience of the interior which is punctuated by the occasional plant suited to the establishment's name. As noted with other reviewers it's difficult to know what to do when you arrive: there's no obvious 'please wait here to be seated' signage, and if you're really unlucky the few staff that are available will be busy serving existing customers. But be patient if you can because as already hinted, the food makes up for the shortcoming in experience. Sitting at the table, everything seemed clean. If you're visually sensitive, in the late afternoon and early evening of the summer, sunlight can shine very brightly through the west-facing windows. Without any blinds to block these, choosing where to sit becomes a strategic affair. Nevertheless, when you manage to get the friendly and apologetic waiter's rare attention, you can order. We chose a hummus dish with various sauces and bread to kick off our meal (a fantastic opener with a wide variety of taste experiences), followed by the Jerusalem mixed grill and skinny fries (the mince will blow you away if you're a (former) meat eater). All very well cooked and tantalising on the tastebuds! The savoury dishes were so good in fact, we wanted to see if dessert held up to the same standard - currently this is very limited to a single option: a filo pie with fruit, but it's a very worthy and unique dish that meets the exceptional standard found earlier - not overly sweet but very satisfying with a range of textures. What soon becomes clear is that Power Plant has a really talented chef - he even came out of the kitchen to gauge our opinion of the food - always a good sign of a chef that cares. We returned our opinions with big smiles. Overall, a fantastic food experience despite the minor hiccups with the earlier part of the customer journey. I'll be sure to return to try their brunch. Nevertheless, I can already see this restaurant launching into the top three vegan restaurant experiences in London thanks to its stellar fare. A credit to the culinary potential of vegan food everywhere, Power Plant comes highly recommended! ⭐

4 Star Rating Second time here for dinner. The atmosphere is great, I love the venue! There was a live DJ when we arrived. The staff are super friendly but when I got there, it was not clear where to go to get seated. Everyone at the bar was busy and not paying attention. Other people arrived and were just standing around too! I called a waiter who was running around with drinks after a few minutes of this. They were super friendly after that, it would be great if someone could keep an eye on that to make sure customers don't feel lost or get the sense that staff are rude which is not then case. We took a while to order, and sadly 2 of the 3 items they had ran out of. Telling us about the items unavailable would have been a great place to start! The food that arrived was really good! We had the Jerusalem mixed grill, best dish, the "lamb" was great, the vegetables and pitta were delicious, well seasoned 5/5. The mushroom pate was very tasty, good texture and flavours. The apricot jam was pleasant and mild, good combination as well with the pickled mushrooms on top. Could have come with more bread, we literally had to spoon the pate into our mouths (which I'm not too bothered about). The last dish, the smoked aubergine was average. Very smokey, the best were the sauces with it. It would probably taste better on some bread too! Overall, pleasant experience, there are definitely some dishes id like to come back for (hopefully they have them !)

5 Star Rating A newcomer to the Camden scene and housed in the trendy new co-working space and hotel Selina. On a Tuesday night the atmosphere was buzzy and casual. The staff are friendly and service is quick and efficient. An electric mix of carb heaven vegan fusion tapas style dishes are perfecting for sharing. Be sure to leave room for desert as the peanut butter blondie with ice cream is absolutely delicious and the best vegan desert i’ve ever eaten! Powerplant is also open of breakfast and has some tasty things on the menu such as waffles and maple syrup! During the week and at the weekends you can attend one of their concept nights such as movie and jazz nights.

2 Star Rating very small portions, 13£ for 10 raviolis has to be a joke, 15£ for 3 slices of aubergine IS a joke, waited 20min for drinks and another 20min for food, not good value for the price. we paid 63£ for this amount of food with a single cocktail. servers looked like they were doing their best but obviously understaffed. not a vibe.

5 Star Rating Great Vegan restaurant, we all had the Kimchi Toastie with the Chili Jam which was exquisite - sell that jam please! Cute atmosphere and fast service. Great for a quieter lunch just outside the crazy markets.
