Perfectly adequate pizza. Only had two cask ales. The first one I picked was off. Staff weren’t on top form. Atmosphere a little lacking. Everything just felt a little off. Adequate, but not quite right. A shame. Seems like a cool space. Perhaps it was an off night. Hopefully.

The Lansdowne in Primrose Hill is a wonderfully atmospheric pub with a truly friendly staff. The food is fresh and delicious, and match days are a blast. However, it definitely caters to an older crowd, so the vibe can be a bit subdued at times. Great for a traditional pub experience, but perhaps not the most exciting if you're looking for a lively night out.

One of my favorite locals. Good pizza, super friendly staff. The big picnic tables outside are hard to beat on a sunny day. Very pet friendly.

When it’s busy it takes ages to get served. Not enough staff. There was a queue almost out the door last weekend, just ti get a pint at the bar. Also toilets are horrible and stink. Nice beer and great location though

I'm in London to visit friends, but had a day to myself. Because it was Sunday, I was searching for places that served a Sunday roast. So I walked a few miles to this place, through the pulsating Camden. I ended up in this nice and quiet area, at this extremely cozy place, which was neatly decorated for Christmas, and Christmas music playing, adding to the experience in a good way! At the bar, I was met by this lovely woman who showed me to my table. I need to specifically highlight her, as she showed me what great service is.
It didn't take long for my roast and beer to arrive. As I dug in, I just started smiling. The food was so good, packed with flavor, some crunch from the vegetables. The carrot and potatoes were perfectly done. And the beer complimented it all really well.
I LOVE doing random things like this, and everyone else going here after me, will not walk away disappointed. Thank you for having me!

The Pembroke Castle (Primrose Hill) – A Perfect London Pub Experience
As a first-time visitor to London from the U.S., I was looking for an authentic pub experience, and The Pembroke Castle exceeded all expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed into a warm and lively atmosphere that perfectly captured the charm of a traditional British pub.
The service was outstanding, and a special shout-out goes to Anna, the Aussie bartender who made the night even more memorable. She was friendly, attentive, and went out of her way to make me feel at home—so much so that she insisted I didn’t need to leave a tip, which caught me off guard as I wasn’t aware of the differences in tipping culture here. Her honesty and hospitality were refreshing, and it’s clear she takes pride in making sure every guest has a great time.
The food was equally impressive—classic pub fare done right. Everything from the fish and chips to the ales was top-notch, making for an authentic and satisfying meal.
If you’re looking for a pub in London that delivers on atmosphere, service, and quality, The Pembroke Castle is the place to go. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town!

I popped by the Pembroke Castle recently before I went to a gig at the Camden roundhouse. It’s a lovely beautiful old pub, with friendly staff and a wide selection of drinks. They had launched the new menu this week, and I’m not usually one to take pictures of my food but the glazed pork belly was delicious, and my partner had the lamb shank Shepard’s Pie which went down a treat. We will definitely be visiting again soon! Thank you!

The Pembroke is easily my favourite pub in Primrose Hill. The staff are really friendly and always greet you with a smile, and work well together as a team. There is a great selection of beers and ales on tap, along with a wide variety of spirits. The food is lovely and I particularly recommend the pies - both the steak and venison and chicken and pancetta pies are delicious. The beer garden is a great sun spot and they welcome dogs. I would recommend this pub to anyone visiting the area.
Keep up all the great work Pembroke Team

Came on a busy Saturday afternoon. Had the sharing platter which was basic but satisfying a pint. The crowd at the time was a nice mix of families and younger people. A nice change of pace if you don't want to go into the deep end of Camden market. The beer garden is cozy but well decorated and places together. We wanted to try the picnic menu but it has to be booked 2 days in advance so keep that in mind. Otherwise, we were satisfied with what we ordered and the staff were friendly

Staff members are really accommodating and friendly. We were greeted soon as we entered the restaurant. When they say bottomless, they really mean bottomless. Drinks were given soon as we sat down at our table. We don't have to ask for the drinks to be refilled. The food tasted amazing.

A large group of us Went for a bottomless brunch. The service was five star. You could tell they were happy in their job. Very accommodating and kept our glasses topped up. The food was delicious and was presented well and came out very hot.
We had the room downstairs all to ourselves. Made it more personallised.
A few in our group didn’t turn up so I asked to box up for the homeless. I was told this is something they always do. Which give extra stars for me!

This carbon neutral restaurant featuring food inspired by Mozambique was DELICIOUS. It tasted so fresh and was delicious. We ordered every appetizer and they were all excellent. Our very favorite was the sweet potato fries followed by the hummus. I got the chicken thighs and they were perfection!

Vicky was excellent, I had accidentally asked a customer if they did student discount and she made sure to send him my apology bottomless soft serve like a champ. I adored the friendly atmosphere here, it was so fun despite my silly blunder and accidental hot sauce snorting. The kids menu is so worth it you guys!! Again, big shout out to Vicky who was incredible and made my day brighter :)

The chips were soggy. The boneless chicken was almost burnt and the toilet was out service. The staff was kind but these factors eroded the whole service experience.

So, I desided to go for two small Burgers instead of a normal sized one since that's that whole premise of the place, but I would recommend getting a normal as the potion is very small.
Went with a Puerto Rica style chicken burger and a bacon and cheese cheeseburger ect. Over all decent place to get a premium style burger for a date night ect. Fries were really good and morish.
Service was amazing and the manger/(owner?) Was very welcoming and hospitable. Very good vibes.
Again, only issue is the portion size for the sliders as people may be disappointed in them as 1 bite each and there gone.
Decent pints avaible to

Lovely little place with delicious food and friendly service. It drops a star for the eye watering prices… a small burger with NO chops and a beer came to £24! How about £4.99 for the slider and £9.99 for a burger? I was also confused as to why the cheaper Slider was not available when there was no mention of this on the menu? Overall, very nice food but not for those on a budget.

Really awesome place.
Staff came to greet and are very talkative and facilitating.
Ensured I have been served well and went the extra mile to make sure I was having a great meal. Owner greets and has a nice chat with all the visitors, very personable service.
The burger meat is of very high quality and presentation of my truffle oil fries was good. Milkshake was pretty nice too and they serve a peculiar east London beer called E1 Brew Co IPA.
Overall great vibe and very clean! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a pick me up in the area! Better than all the chains and personable service is always the key to building communities.
Very impressed and will be visiting again for afternoon tea!

We purchased a wowcher for this little gem in chalkfarm. We arrived just as the bar was opening. We was greeted by Andrew, who showed us to our table and immediately offered us a 🍺!! Which was brilliant as we thought we would be having bottomless prosecco!! Turned out we could have bottomless beer!!! Andrew went through what our options were with our wowcher. We decided to order 6 different types so we could share them. I must say these burgers 🍔 were absolutely gorgeous! We also got to pick which sweet we wanted with our afternoon tea. The venue itself was having a face-lift so was a little busy and up the wall. However we wasn't put off by this as we had a look around and spoke to the live music manager. It looks like it's going to be a fabulous place and we are looking forward to returning on our next trip to Camden ❤️

Came to a show here.
This is a nice venue for live music.
Room is upstairs. Toilets at the top of the stairs.
Staff were really good behind the bar and the security polite.
Stage lighting and sound we're good enough
They have a dispenser for ear plugs at the bar.

Went to gig here. Waited in bar downstairs which was pleasant enough. Had a burger and chips £12.50 which was nice enough. Staff were friendly and the room upstairs held about 200 people. I get nervous when feeling packed in but this didn't feel like that at all.

We performed here last night, great sound and venue. Crucially, we owe our night (and more) to head of security, Lee (Oracle). He was absolutely heroic in deterring some men in balaclavas who were sizing us up as we unloaded our gear from our car outside. We can’t thank him enough for his heroic professionalism!! I have played here a few times and never had this happen before, and to be clear, would still highly recommend the venue to punters and players alike.

So glad we finally decided to come here! Genuinely the best burger and fries I’ve had in London. The wings were a bit too saucy, but flavour was great so would get the plain or teriyaki next time. Definitely replacing my local honest burgers

My friend and I popped in after having read the reviews and we were not disappointed. I ordered a beef tower burger, and my friend ordered the house special burger and shared some wings. The food was great with really good customer service. Thank you.

After hearing glowing recommendations from my family, who have been frequenting this place for the past five years, I had high expectations. Unfortunately, my visit today left me feeling quite disappointed.
The burgers were overly salty, the chips were average at best, and the prices were steep for what was offered. While the food was decent enough to eat and the service was good, the quality didn’t justify the high cost. If the prices were more reasonable, it could be considered a decent spot for a meal.
My family, who have always loved this place, even gave feedback to the staff, noting that the standards have noticeably dropped. What was once a favorite spot in Camden now feels like it has lost its charm. Sadly, it’s nothing special anymore.

Popped in during our time in Camden and I was blown away with the burgers! Of course there’s always so many you want to try but I went for the Buk Truffle and my friend went for the Teriyaki chicken and they were delicious!
Oh and not to mention the aioli and Parmesan fries 🤤 chips were cooked perfectly and there was just the right amount of sauce 👍🏻
Krystl F - 3 months ago
I went here with a friend to try something different in the Camden Town area, and was pleasantly surprised by the food offered here. The flavour of the Chicken Sando Melt was one of the best I’ve had, and the parmesan and aioli fries were full of flavour, but got a little too garlicky reaching the last few.. The service felt relatively fast, and the servers were friendly too. One thing that could be added to the restaurant is some music though, eating in silence and clearly overhearing other customers felt a little awkward.

A fairly decent Thai restaurant. The food is certainly a westernised version of Thai food reminiscent of many Thai restaurants up and down the country and often attached to pubs. Menu has a wide variety of dishes. Service from the young waitress seemed a little haphazard, bringing out the wrong dish and saying ‘but this is what you ordered’ but eventually bringing us the correct dish.
Jezzer Pezzer - 6 months ago
Food was tasty but as others have mentioned portions are small. Staff twice tried to clear our plates way before we were finished. We were presented with the bill without even asking for it. Felt like a rush. Shame given the amount of food options around. Final bill was high (£85 for two mains and one starter and one bottle of wine).

Went for a large table party and wished I'd gone to McDonalds instead. Mediocre food, best thing on the table was spring rolls and rice. A prawn pad thai had 4 prawns and a tofu and cashew dish had 5 bits of soggy tofu and 6 nuts. No condiments on the table and service about as mediocre as the food.
I wont be heading back. For the money I can eat at many places much better.

Could this be one of the top entirely vegan restaurants in London based solely on taste alone?! In summary: yes!
Surreptitiously exposed on a block corner facing a main road to Camden Town, Power Plant is a surprising eatery. It's a classic mix of bar and restaurant, with a little more emphasis on the former than the latter. You'll have the choice of eating al fresco in front of the aforementioned main road, or within the dive bar-like dark ambience of the interior which is punctuated by the occasional plant suited to the establishment's name.
As noted with other reviewers it's difficult to know what to do when you arrive: there's no obvious 'please wait here to be seated' signage, and if you're really unlucky the few staff that are available will be busy serving existing customers. But be patient if you can because as already hinted, the food makes up for the shortcoming in experience.
Sitting at the table, everything seemed clean. If you're visually sensitive, in the late afternoon and early evening of the summer, sunlight can shine very brightly through the west-facing windows. Without any blinds to block these, choosing where to sit becomes a strategic affair.
Nevertheless, when you manage to get the friendly and apologetic waiter's rare attention, you can order. We chose a hummus dish with various sauces and bread to kick off our meal (a fantastic opener with a wide variety of taste experiences), followed by the Jerusalem mixed grill and skinny fries (the mince will blow you away if you're a (former) meat eater). All very well cooked and tantalising on the tastebuds! The savoury dishes were so good in fact, we wanted to see if dessert held up to the same standard - currently this is very limited to a single option: a filo pie with fruit, but it's a very worthy and unique dish that meets the exceptional standard found earlier - not overly sweet but very satisfying with a range of textures. What soon becomes clear is that Power Plant has a really talented chef - he even came out of the kitchen to gauge our opinion of the food - always a good sign of a chef that cares. We returned our opinions with big smiles.
Overall, a fantastic food experience despite the minor hiccups with the earlier part of the customer journey. I'll be sure to return to try their brunch. Nevertheless, I can already see this restaurant launching into the top three vegan restaurant experiences in London thanks to its stellar fare. A credit to the culinary potential of vegan food everywhere, Power Plant comes highly recommended! ⭐

Second time here for dinner. The atmosphere is great, I love the venue! There was a live DJ when we arrived. The staff are super friendly but when I got there, it was not clear where to go to get seated. Everyone at the bar was busy and not paying attention. Other people arrived and were just standing around too! I called a waiter who was running around with drinks after a few minutes of this. They were super friendly after that, it would be great if someone could keep an eye on that to make sure customers don't feel lost or get the sense that staff are rude which is not then case. We took a while to order, and sadly 2 of the 3 items they had ran out of. Telling us about the items unavailable would have been a great place to start!
The food that arrived was really good! We had the Jerusalem mixed grill, best dish, the "lamb" was great, the vegetables and pitta were delicious, well seasoned 5/5. The mushroom pate was very tasty, good texture and flavours. The apricot jam was pleasant and mild, good combination as well with the pickled mushrooms on top. Could have come with more bread, we literally had to spoon the pate into our mouths (which I'm not too bothered about). The last dish, the smoked aubergine was average. Very smokey, the best were the sauces with it. It would probably taste better on some bread too! Overall, pleasant experience, there are definitely some dishes id like to come back for (hopefully they have them !)

very small portions, 13£ for 10 raviolis has to be a joke, 15£ for 3 slices of aubergine IS a joke, waited 20min for drinks and another 20min for food, not good value for the price. we paid 63£ for this amount of food with a single cocktail. servers looked like they were doing their best but obviously understaffed. not a vibe.
