5 Star Rating We decided to try our luck and walked into the restaurant without a reservation. Fortunately, luck was on our side that day, and we managed to secure a table for lunch. To our delight, we were seated at a window table overlooking the busy streets below, tucked away in a quiet corner of the restaurant. The overall architecture of the restaurant is amazing, exuding a glamorous feel reminiscent of the 1900s. The service was excellent, and the food was equally impressive. I particularly enjoyed the roast leg of lamb, which was carved at our table from their carving trolley. The cod loin was also delicious and enjoyed by my children. Lastly, the desserts were equally delightful. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant, especially if you're in Paris for the first time. You won't be disappointed, especially if you appreciate historical architecture, great food, and a friendly atmosphere!

4 Star Rating A restaurant famed for its extravagant interior. We were early for our booking at 2:00 and they made us wait in the bar until it was time. We were expected to go back to the receptionist ourselves instead of having staff fetch us. We would've felt more welcomed if that was the case, but the staff were otherwise friendly and professional. The food is very expensive but I'm sure most people are here for the architecture and not the food. The baked alaska was a pleasant surprise though, as it was infused with some tropical elements.

5 Star Rating We had heard so much about this restaurant and desperately wanted to visit, and I came with my family and friends on Saturday night. The interior of the restaurant is amazing, and the bar area looked very cosy. It was of course expensive, but the overall experience and food was well worth the price. The service we received was extremely attentive, and the taste of the food was exquisite. The set menus are good value too. They were also very accommodating with my allergies. Would highly recommend for a special occasion!

5 Star Rating Frankly, it was the best restaurant overall in France. The beautiful atmosphere combined with the excellent service and great food made the experience quite memorable. Frankly I loved all the dishes but my favorite was the salmon.

3 Star Rating Temper your expectations and understand exactly you’re here - the views and the experience behind it. The painted and gold leaf adorned molded ceilings add to a luxurious Parisian ambiance, but the food is very lackluster. The leg of leg felt like it was sitting on the carving station for hours because… it probably was. The service moves very quick and there is high dining turnover as they are trained to accommodate large tourist groups. Again, is it worth it for the experience? Sure, but just once.

4 Star Rating Good place to have a meal near Gare de Lyon. Prices are normal. The seafood was fresh and tasty without any fishy smell. The steak was cooked a perfect medium rare but not very tender. The cognac creme brulee was decent but we could not taste any cognac.

3 Star Rating The food was good for the price. The location is very convenient. We ordered ribeye steak, and it was thin by American standards. Not all staff speak English but they do have some who can help translate. My favorite thing was the bread and the cream topping it came with. They also had ice available for my water

2 Star Rating Decided to try this place since it's close to the train station. Was very disappointed in the onion soup. Cheese is okay, but the soup itself is very bland, compared to what I have in the US. I need to try more place to see if this is how it suppose to be or what, but so far I don't like it. The bulot is good but might have upset my stomach a little bit after; the sauce is a little too garlic-y on its own but matches well with the food. Service is super slow, but I think it's just how it is here.

5 Star Rating Tucked round the corner from Gare de Lyon is this great little establishment. We popped in as we were staying nearby but wanted something better than hotel beer. As we both like trying different beers this made this place a great choice. For us awkward tourists you never quite know the protocol when going in to somewhere like this, but we were soon sat at a table by the friendly barman who took our drinks order and popped back with a menu and specials board. While I can read and speak some French, the barman soon took pity on me and translated a couple of the menu items I was unsure of, we did not want much so grabbed the little chicken kebabs with dessert option. The food was great, served nice and hot and arrived quickly. The Savernoise beer was a local brew and very pleasant if you don't want anything too strong. If you're in the area and want a nice quick bite and a beer you'll not be disappointed.

5 Star Rating After losing the rugby and wandering back to our hotel we stopped for a nightcap. The place itself is nothing special but the atmosphere and locals, this is a bar used by local rail staff, are the most friendly and forthcoming. Ok we were the only English in there and France had won but it wasn't all about the rugby. The owner treated us to a drink and so did a couple of locals. For just one drink before bed we spent over two hours such was the company.

There are enough places to sit, but the only thing is: there’s no toilet, so you need to go to the station for a toilet. 5 Star Rating What a gem next to gare de Lyon! Food was a joy of flavors: the terrine, smooth flavor, well balanced combination of pork meat and vegetables, in sync with the pickled salad. My main dish of gnocchi was made with love and subtle care, full of a flavoursome creamy mushroom sauce and an egg parfait. To finish with a traditional baba rum & chantilly cream, airy and delicious.Truly impressed. My friends enjoyed their dishes particularly, the delight and a great surprise, the asparagus starter and the cherry soufflé to finish! A play in your palate, definitely to repeat. It is not horrible expensive not cheap, but well worth it!

5 Star Rating Absolutely a must if you are in the Gare de Lyon area. Walking distance from the subway. If you are there for the Rugby World cup..GO! The "formule" is not too expensive (around 55 euros for 3 plates - entry, main and desert). But what makes it great is the quality of the ingredients and the cooking. One of the best meals we had whole year. The chef is simply great with flavours out of this world. Would recommend a visit. The service is also great and nice with the wife of the chef mending the front. An absolute must! FYI: this is not a Thai restaurant. This is not a Vietnamese restaurant. They do not serve breakfast only dinner. it is affordable.. so all of the reviews stating the contrary are in my opinion not valid. Check the chef's background.
