Jericho Beach Park
Jericho Beach offers both extensive sandy beaches and a beautiful park that is less crowded than those closer to downtown Vancouver
Located a little ways west of downtown Vancouver, Jericho Park boasts a beautiful expansive sandy beach. Jericho and the adjacent beaches tend to be less crowded than Vancouver's downtown beaches so it is well worth the extra bus ride to get there.
In addition to the great beaches, the park also features lots of green space and picnic facilities. Jericho beach is contiguous with Locarno Beach and Spanish Banks Beach creating an expanse of beach stretching for more than 2 kilometers! From any of these beaches you will be treated to beautiful, expansive views across to Howe Sound and the north shore mountains.
Park ammenities include sports fields,a concession stand and washrooms. There are many paths trails and picnic areas throughout the park. Beach volleyball is avery popular activity just to the west at Spanish Banks Beach. As you can see from the pictures these beaches can be quite quiet.
