Deer Lake Park
Deer Lake Park provides a beautiful setting for a quiet stroll and is home to some of Burnaby's top arts and cultural attractions
Burnaby's Deer Lake Park features a serene lake in the heart of the city. It is an ideal place to visit for those who prefer a peaceful and serene locale. You can rent a canoe and paddle out onto the lake or enjoy a pleasant stroll around the lake and wetlands on a series of pathways and boardwalks. Deer Lake Park is particularly beautiful during Autumn when the many maple trees are showing off their vibrant fall colours contrasted with the vivid green lawns and evergreens. You'll definitely want to bring your camera here.
The park is the home of the Burnaby Art Gallery, Shadbolt Centre for the Arts, and the Burnaby Village Museum. Fine Dining is available at the Hart House Restaurant. There are a few outdoor concerts and events held in the park each year during which you may want to avoid the park unless taking in the event.
