Vancouver Airport Observation Area
Vancouver Airport Observation Area is completely free and offers interactive displays along with a good view of the airport
The Vancouver Airport Observation Area is a feature at Vancouver Airport, offering non-passengers a place where they can enjoy viewing aircraft operations and flights in and out of the airport. Aviation buffs and kids alike will enjoy spending some time here and there is no charge for admission.
With over 5000 square feet this area has seats for over 150 people. Over 130 feet of floor to ceiling windows look across the west side of this busy airport. There are complimentary telescopes by the windows, a large interactive model of the airport, and interactive touch-screen kiosks that provide all kinds of interesting information about the development of Vancouver International Airport and airport operations. There is also a flight simulator that lets you virtually explore the province of British Columbia from the air.
