Aberdeen Centre

Located in Richmond's Golden Village Asian district, Aberdeen Centre was one of Canada's first Asian Malls

Originally built in 1989, Aberdeen Centre is one of Canada's first Asian malls. In 2001 it was demolished and rebuilt, expanding to 3 times its original size and opening again in 2003.

The mall now offers about 100 shops and services and even includes a Ferrari Maserati dealership. The primary anchor store is Daiso a large Asian 'discount' store which stocks over 100,000 items. This was the chain's first store to open in North America. The mall also features a variety of restaurants on the third floor and it features an indoor musical fountain.

There are two other Asian themed shopping centers worth noting within a short walk of Aberdeen Centre. Yoahan Centre located next door has about 80 stores anchored by Osaka Supermarket and Parker Place with about 150 smaller stores including a food court.
