Toronto Music Garden

The Toronto Music Garden is a delightful and beautifully landscaped 3 acre garden, inspired by the music of Bach, located on the Toronto Harbourfront

The Toronto Music Garden is a celebration of music and art inspired by the first of a six part film series by Renowned Cellest Yo-Yo Ma titled 'Inspired by Bach'. In the first film of the series, Yo-Yo Ma and renowned landscape designer, Julie Moir Messervy worked together to interpret Bach's first suite in nature. The garden was originally planned for Boston, but after that fell through the project was embraced by Toronto.

The 3 acre garden is divided into 6 sections inspired by the movements of Bach's Suite No. 1 for Unaccompanied Cello. The sections are Prelude, Allemande, Courante, Sarabnade, Menuett, and Gigue. The park is a beautiful spot to quietly meditate on art and nature.

Be sure to take advantage of the 'Summer Music in the Garden' concert series held in the gardens on Thursdays at 7 pm and on Sundays at 4 pm.

You will find the Toronto Music Garden located in the Harbourfront District. For more information see the Official Website: Toronto Music Garden.
