Royal Ontario Museum Toronto

The Royal Ontario Museum is world renowned for it's collection of artifacts representing world cultures and natural history

Toronto's recently expanded Royal Ontario Museum or ROM displays millions of artifacts in over 40 different galleries. The original building opened in 1914 and has seen two major expansions. The most recent expansion and renovation project, a modern addition called the Michael Lee-Chin Crystal has provided a major increase in display spaces.

The ROM is the largest museum of natural history and world culture in Canada and it ranks 5th largest among all museums in North America. Notable galleries include a huge collection of dinosaurs from around the world, a textile gallery showing textiles from throughout history, collections of art from around the world and of course Canadian as well as European history.

Tip: You can bypass the lineups and save almost 50% on admission to the Royal Ontario Museum and 4 other 'must see' Toronto attractions by purchasing a Toronto CityPASS prior to your vacation.
