Good thai food, full of flavour and the portion here is too big for one person, should come with friends next time. They have so many choices that I took quite some time to decide what to eat. After a week travelling without home cooked meals this lunch was perfect and I even have enough balance to pack it for dinner. Absolutely worth your money! We came at lunch time on a weekday and we were thoroughly pleased. Fantastic service, they accommodate our pram, serving size was fantastic. 100% halal, no cross contamination, handslaughtered chicken and no alcohol on the premises. The perfect Muslim restaurant experience. You can not ask for more. A rare find in the CBD. The cherry on top was the a spacious place to pray and *clean* bathroom and wudu facilities.

Tori-Kara-age noodle was tasty. It was about 18 AUD and there were many big and tasty Karaage with noodle. My friend ordered Menya noodle set and I didn't like taste of the noodle soup. This set was included Gyoza and Rice bowl and price was about 25 AUD. Service was okay, not be impressed.

Loved it! The person who took our order was very friendly, the chef was working hard to pump out lovely smelling food. Situated ourselves near the window watching people walk by. We both ordered a Tonkotsu Miso Base Pork Ramen and 6 gyoza each. The gyoza were simple and traditional, would have ordered more if I didn’t get so many add ons in my ramen! I’m so use to people being tight with serving sizes these days that I decided to get extra pork, Bamboo and sea weed. Man was I wrong to do so! The pork is so thick and generous in serving size that it made it impossible for me to finish the last of it (I’m 6 foot and weigh over 115 kgs and didn’t eat all day at that point, so let’s put that in perspective as well). The bamboo on the other hand, was absolutely spot. I hadn’t had such authentic Japanese bamboo to go with my ramen since I was in Tokyo in 2015/16 and Sapporo/Asahikawa 2017. The broth. It’s pretty much the most authentic taste I’ve had since being back in Australia. I could go into so much detail about the bowl of ramen I had here but it’s just worth trying for yourself. ( I even like the ramen spoon and serving tray they give you when you receive your food, such a warm homely vibe AND THEY ACTUALLY SERVED THE RAMEN WITH NARUTOMAKI 😭😭😭😭 ) definitely coming back, please keep it up 🙌

The waiter will keep coming to your table taking plates and bowl away while you are still eating. Imo its like chasing us to eat faster. The shop is small with bad ventilation. The udon is not tasty at all as it is too bland. The katsu is uncooked, while the tempura literally soaked in oil. Not properly drained.

24.9. 2023 We had Teriyaki chicken (with rice) and Teriyaki chicken ramen (strong broth, good for hangover :)). Water and soy sauce in addition. Both dishes were delicious. Fast and nice service. 9/10 I definitely recommend to visit this place.

Expensive and very high in fat and sugar with only the originals any good. Seems like every new donut is packed with flavours that don't work together. Shakes are fairly average. Sometimes they have free donut days - maybe twice a year but whenever I have tried to go in the evening, they sold out. Staff are always very nice though.

Came in for a thick shake and quite enjoyed it. The service was friendly and helpful as they were nice to explain the actual flavor of ‘blue heaven’ which is just vanilla and raspberry. Also respect how the thick shake was actually somewhat thick and not just milked down like many other places do it. Would come back for doughnuts and/or other thick shakes.

I always use it when I come to this area. I usually buy sushi from the takeout section. The other day, I asked the store staff if this take-out sushi had an expiration date. The clerk told me that it would take about 4 hours. It was 1:30 pm when I visited the restaurant, and I wanted to eat it for dinner, so I returned around 3:30 pm. (I thought they were making new sushi) However, the sushi in the take-out corner was the same as when I came earlier. This takeout corner does not have a refrigeration function, so the sushi is kept at room temperature for hours. Be careful if you plan to eat it after a few hours.

The seafood 🐟 is very fresh, the salad is tasty. You can take away or 🍣 sushi train dine in. Bought a sushi lunch box, don’t forget to bring it next time to get your free green tea 🍵 or miso soup. Enjoying my food.

Burgers - 5/5 Ambience - as you'd expect from a hotel bar, comfortable and cosy Service - 5/5 - staff are efficient and attentive. GSB burgers are my ultimate fav and I can never look past it! Sunday and Monday deals $20 burger, fries and beer, it's the ultimate deal! The team never fail to deliver and to be honest I prefer it over the renowned Hubert burgers. They are juicy, massive double patty burgers which are seasoned nicely, doesn't look very saucy and typically I love Alot of sauce but this burger doesn't need it . Juicy and tasty enough on its own. My go to is the cheeseburger and my partner loves the classic. I haven't managed to try much else from their menu as I just can't say no to their burgers.

Absolutely amazing service, food and all round enjoyable atmosphere. Staff are very helpful with questions about food allergies and meals were all delicious and big portions. I particularly like that the kids meals come with veggie sticks! The head chef was a real star with our kids, so very kind and engaging with them. They thoroughly enjoyed their meals and especially dessert!!! Thank you for a really wonderful lunch!! Highly recommend this venue!

Good classic pub feed. Food 4/5 Pretty decent fish and chips, tasted fresh with a good serving size. Steak was a little rubbery but again, a hearty serving of steak and chips. Service 5/5 Very friendly staff. Explained the menu and showed us how to become a member for a complimentary drink. Felt very welcome. Atmosphere 5/5 Just a great classic Australian pub. Cosy atmosphere and unpretentious.

The Great Southern Bar is a popular venue in the heart of the city. The food is consistently good and generous sized servings. Even when they are really busy the wait is not too bad. With a good selection of daily specials and classic pub meals, the menu has something for everybody. The front bar can get quite crowded but there is a nice roomy bistro round the back of you prefer things a little quieter.

Came here for dinner for the first time and it was a little disappointing. Had preordered ahead of time but still took them 20mins to confirm order - definitely understaffed. The dishes in this review plus one very plain fried rice (not even with meat) came to an eye watering $550 which is exorbitant for Chinese food. I think there’s probably better places that is far cheaper.

Tasty food but a bit expensive. We went in randomly and we were given the vibe that maybe it wasn’t for us considering how authentic it was. Nevertheless the staff helped with our order and it was a really tasty meal. The menu has some hefty items (over $100 a hit) and I feel like it’s perhaps a fancy Chinese restaurant. Felt like a good experience but perhaps a little too much money for what we got.

The soup and steamed rice is hella yummy and wholesome 😋 Had the abalone chicken clam soup for dinner as I was craving for home cooked canto soup. This place really lived up to the expectations and the lap cheong pork rib rice was delicious. The bean curd veggies was also on point and definitely a great place to go if you are craving for clean canto cuisine.

Had a lovely experience here. The entrance looks normal but the interior is nicely decorated with Chinese elements. The restaurant is pretty empty on Sunday night. We had the coconut fowl soup, the Budda delight soup, two fish dishes, lamb, chicken, pumpkin rice. The soup were good but the portion was small for its price. The rice didn't look very appealing but I like it. The other dishes are so so.

I really like the big choices of fresh juices, shakes and smoothies at top juice. Bircher muesli with mango and shake 1 are my favourites. Great friendly staff as well!

Tried a frappe from here. (Cool breeze). They have advertised the price of a small but when I asked for it, they said they don't have small for that drink (may be they should cross that off in the menu). Anyway the drink was so filling and simply amazing. Could easily be substituted for a meal.

BIG FAN OF THE FRIED RICE! Nasi goreng lestari is the best nasi goreng in Australia, at least for me. I love it so so much! 😭 The bakso is also such a comfy food in cold weather. The prices are also on the affordable side.

Flavourful authentic Indonesian fried rice! They have the best nasi goreng in Sydney in my opinion but their opening hours are really inconsistent. I recommend calling them first before visiting to save your time.

Remarkable stir-fried vermicelli, stir-fried noodles, lestari fried rice, and char kway teow. Generous portion & generous amount of wok hey in all of them, especially the stir-fried vermicelli, my favourite. The best one so far in Sydney. No other restaurants that I’ve been to can match the smokiness of the wok that you can taste in their dishes. Just absolutely well worked. You can choose the meat for most of the dishes. There are chicken, vegetables, prawn, BBQ pork, and roasted pork. Enter through Harris street.

From food to the games and also how can I not mention they also sang a beautiful song with a candle in a cute ice cream to wish us. Such a cute gesture. Highly recommend this place for good food and some really amazing experiences.

I love this restaurant. The staff are very friendly, the performance of teppanyaki is so nice. I came here with my partner for celebrating our 5th anniversary. The restaurant surprised us with the song happy birthday but changed the lyrics to “happy anniversary” and get a small ice cream cake with the candle extra with no cost to us. Also the chief made the table with the writing Happy anniversary with 2 cute hearts at the end for us. Thanks the restaurant team that gave us an unforgettable memories for our anniversary day. Will definitely come back for another occasion.

One of the best restaurant experiences I have ever had. From the moment you walk in the door, every need is taken care of. The food was absolutely stunning- we had a mixture of meat and fish and every bite was a celebration of tenderness and flavour. Dipping sauces were lovely, as was the salad and miso soup. The entertainment was fantastic as well, and it brought the whole restaurant together. We will be back and if you are heading to the CBD then this os a great choice for a fun evening out!

Had a family event at this venue. Great customer service and value for money and memorable. Chef with a was very very kind and accomodating. We were a group of 12 with age group ranging from 4-50yr old. Thoroughly enjoyed. Will recommend. Only downside was the place is tight so when one makes a booking make sure you give exact number. So seating is just comfortable. But definitely worth a try and experience.

Really awesome experience for a mid week dinner. They really make you feel like a guest and treat you with love. Each course was beautifully and perfectly prepared by Chef Jackie who made the experience for my nephew very special. The ingredients are fresh. The food tasty. The portion size is more good than filling. The theatre of cooking is just fun and pleasurable. Will be back again.
