5 Star Rating What a nice surprise to walk into this very classy lobby, welcomed by a very friendly bellman. The location really couldn't be better. It's steps away from Victoria station. In fact, thought it was closed while we were there, but they actually have an elevator the drops you right into the station. The front desk was willing to help whenever we asked and the room was what we expected. We didn't try the breakfast, as it was a full buffet and priced as such - we simply don't want that much food to justify the cost. We did try the lounge one night. Servers were very friendly, but not exceedingly knowledgeable. We got the impression that some of the workers were new to the area, having recently relocation from India. Still they were nice and engaged the help of others as needed. One of the bartenders was VERY kind and accommodating, coming to our table to help clarify questions and even to offer very helpful and friendly advice to us as travelers. We were a little disappointed that the lounge manager came to hurry him away. Overall, we were pleased with our choice, and would certainly consider staying here again.

2 Star Rating Not worth the money. Room was clean & spacious, but bathroom tiny. No dressing table in the room, no where to do hair and make up near a plug socket with decent lighting. Room very cold until heating sorted. No where to hang coats. Tv only had terrestrial channels and guide not accessible. Only 4 coffee pods and four very small milk containers. How much do they cost? Service in The Soak was very slow and poor. Fire alarm went off at 1.30 in the morning, staff not helpful or clear in directing residents to exit the hotel. Wrote to the manager and the nature of the response explains exactly why the above are an issue, the customer is way below costs. We stayed here because we thought we would get a better service and facilities than cheaper hotels but alas no - will save my money next time and get better facilities and service

3 Star Rating Only visited the bar. Reminiscent of a nightclub. Spacious but echoey music, with a fairly monotone palette. Not that busy when we visited. Service was quite slow, however, considering the numbers of staff that appeared to be otherwise unoccupied. I don't think I would go back again. It is adjacent to / part of the structure of the front of Victoria Station, so convenient for travel / theatre

4 Star Rating Hotel is really nice and is in a fabulous location close to Buckingham Palace. Staff are really friendly and helpful. The only downside was my room wasn’t serviced the second day for whatever reason. I left my room at 08:00 and returned at 15:30 to find my room had still not been serviced. Having traveled from overseas I decided to have a sleep. Unfortunately, even with the “Do not disturb” sign on someone came into my room and woke me up. Housekeeping came around at 17:05 looking to service the room which isn’t good enough as I’ve stayed in enough hotels in my lifetime that this should be all completed at the latest lunchtime.

5 Star Rating This is a beautiful, well-maintained historic hotel. It’s perfectly updated while keeping the original charm and ambiance of the historic building. I love the lobby, with the grand staircase and chandelier. It’s conveniently attached to Victoria station which is great when traveling to different locations and also offers a variety of restaurants and shops right outside the door. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend. Great location, lovely stay.

5 Star Rating An incredible stay for the beginning of our vacation. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is so beautiful!! The lobby, the bar, the breakfast area. We did a Royal High Tea, had dinner at The English Grill and breakfast almost every morning. The hotel is right next to Buckingham Palace and Victoria tube station so getting anywhere is so easy. Cannot wait to stay here again.

5 Star Rating Although the rooms are small due to their age, they are well designed and very comfortable. The hotel was exceptionally clean and well kept. It is the staff that really put this place over the top. Check in was pleasant and very helpful. A bellman brought our bags up and reviewed some of the features of the room. The concierge followed up moments later to confirm the room met our needs. Top all this off with the fact that the Rubens is just around the corner from Buckingham palace and you have an excellent hotel for a first visit to London.

5 Star Rating My wife and I booked a 4-night stay at The Rubens for our first trip to London and we thought it was lovely. A very old school hotel with wonderful doormen and a homey atmosphere. We arrived several hours before check-in, and they were able to accommodate our belongings without hassle and even gave us a free room upgrade. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. The room was well kept, very clean, and the amenities thoughtful. Located in a great area, just a 4-min walk from the Underground and within walking distance to many of London's best attractions. I would absolutely stay at The Rubens again for the location and the charm.

5 Star Rating Fantastic hotel right in the heart of London. Staff is absolutely amazing. Paschal the Doorman should be a national treasure! Location is amazing as you are close to all modes of transportation to get around the cityscape. Much you can walk to as well! Our room was pretty tight, but we expected that coming to Europe. Otherwise, absolutely top notch place to stay!!! Cannot recommend any higher!!

5 Star Rating I'm thrilled to share with you my recent culinary adventure at Rosa's Thai Victoria. Let me just say that the Pad Thai chicken is a dish you shouldn't miss! It's a masterful mix of flavours that bring your taste buds to life. But what makes this experience even more special is the service provided by their staff member Harri. Harri is not just a waiter but an ambassador of hospitality. His friendly and attentive service made the whole dining experience memorable. From recommending dishes to providing timely refills, he's truly the cherry on top of an already delightful meal. So, if you're in the mood for authentic Thai cuisine, Rosa's Thai Victoria is a place you should definitely check out. And if Harri is your waiter, consider yourself lucky!

3 Star Rating Service somewhat impersonal and rushed. Thai food was just ok and had more of an Indian food flavor vs. strictly a Thai flavor. Sauce in my entree was a bit too fishy. The chicken meat, both the satay and Chili & Basil with chicken, was not the best quality. A fine quick meal location but I would not go out of my way to eat at this location nor would I recommend it.

Already starting the visit with a great concierge named Robert who was extremely friendly and answered all the kids questions. The rest of the staff was also really helpful and were always there to help if anything arose. The placement of the hotel makes the trip in London easy seeing as how good the connections are by the hotel. Would recommend the breakfast on the hotel it was amazing! 5 Star Rating Our trip to London was motivated by our participation in the London Marathon. The hotel is well located, close to tourist attractions, the subway station and restaurants. Magnificent, clean, cozy rooms. Breakfast with lots of options. The difference was the courtesy shown to us by the staff, especially Florina with her charisma and friendliness. In fact, everyone at reception is the benchmark for a good hotel, I felt at home. Sincerely, Rafael and Celina.

5 Star Rating This pub has a really nice feel to it and is very pretty. We had dinner in the upstairs part which was beautiful. There’s also an outside covered terrace that looked really lovely. The food was really tasty and artfully presented. Only thing that let it down was that the scallops were a bit over cooked. Paige served us and she was very attentive and friendly, she made an Old Fashioned for my husband, even though it wasn’t on the cocktail menu.

4 Star Rating This is a great pub to pop into as it has plenty of seating and good service. I haven't been here during busy times though so not sure how it changes. Lovely roof terrace and a small garden also which is a rarity in the local area. Being charged £7.40 for a pint is never going to sit right with me BUT it was good and just last weekend I was charged much the same somewhere else and the lager was so bad that I told them to take it back and left for a different pub. I haven't tried the food yet but it certainly smells good.

The drinks were priced about right and they poured fairly. I could not use the app to order drinks because it wouldn’t take my phone number. The bartender said he preferred we ordered through him anyway. Nice place.

Friendly staff with good customer service 👍 which was essential for catching up with friends, you want to talk about what's new in your life and what's been bothering you, not being distracted or disappointed by something else around you. Quick service and consistent recipe. All in all, well done for a chain restaurant 👍

2 Star Rating I visited with my daughters earlier for the first time and was really disappointed. The staff were very abrupt and quite rude, with the exception of one staff member who offered us our leftovers as takeaway. The food was mediocre, it did however arrive very quickly after us ordering. It arrived before the drinks. When it came to paying, it was made out that our payment method was declining-which it was not, after some insistence the card was not the problem and it was actually the machine. No apology was offered for the accusations of us not being able to pay.

3 Star Rating Review for autistic people: Zizzi Victoria The room is a good temperature. The lights are not too bright, but it is very loud because sounds reverberate around the room a lot. There is music playing too. It was somewhat difficult to communicate with my dad who was sitting across the table from me. Tables are quite close together, and I went at 16:00 on a Sunday and even then it was quite busy. I did not visit the toilets so I do not know what they are like. The staff are friendly. The food came extremely quickly (a bit suspicious) and was mediocre. It was pretty good, just not as good as I had hoped. I had spaghetti bolognese. My dad had a lasagne and it was burnt on the bottom and not very good either. The desserts were good - I had a chocolate snowball which was rich and delicious. Drinks come with ice. Overall, the environment was noisy and a bit stressful and rushed. The food was OK. Sensory experience 5/10.
