Sherlock Holmes Museum

Fans of the famous Sherlock Holmes Mysteries will be captivated and intrigued by this popular and quaint museum.

The Sherlock Holmes Museum is a fascinating private museum located in an old boarding house on 221b Baker Street and dedicated to the extremely popular fictional detective of Sherlock Holmes and his friend Doctor John H. Watson. The museum recreates the home of Sherlock Holmes as it is described in the popular series of stories.

In addition to recreating the fictional Victorian era 221b Baker Street home of Sherlock Holmes the museum contains rooms exhibiting wax models arranged to illustrate scenes from the stories. There is also a selection of antiques and gifts available for purchase from the Museum's souvenir shop.

The Sherlock Holmes Museum is open daily from 9:30 am to 6 pm except on Christmas. As this is a private museum there is a small admission charge.

Sherlock Holmes Museum is located withing a short walk of the Wallace Collection so you may want to consider visiting it also while in the area.
