The Natural History Museum in London will enlighten and amaze you with it's renowned collection of 70 million specimens from around the planet.

Once you get over the amazing terracotta facade and Victorian architecture of the Natural History Museum in London, you will be able to explore the incredible and renowned collection of specimens located inside. The Museum is divided into four zones, each with many galleries representing Botany, Entomology, Mineralogy, Palaentology, and Zoology. The display of dinosaur skeletons is renowned. In addition to the displays the museum has a variety of events and activities each day ranging from talks, and tours to films.

Since the Natural History Museum is a public museum it has free admission to all of it's permanent galleries. This alone makes it a great place to visit, especially when travelling on a budget.

The Natural History Museum is open daily from 10 am to 5:30 pm except on December 24-26th.

This museum is located at the intersection of Cromwell and Exhibition Road adjacent to both the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Science Museum, so you may want to consider visiting them while in the area.

From South Kensington Station exit onto Thurloe Street and walk to your right (east) ½ block to Exhibition Road and follow it north, then go left on Cromwell Road. The museum is just ahead on your right.
